M&L for Preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blowers to remove all loose dirt, rubber deposits complete and applying Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) having penetration values 5-20 mm and initial setting time of 4-5 hours but not more than 8 hours, first coat with 0.6 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.60 Ltr water to be applied uniformily on 1.00 Sqm area mixed with mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME and ensure uniform finish of PME on flexible surface manually application using moping complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for this item :- (a) Friction parameters shall be between 30-50 after application of PME. (b) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the manufacturer only. (c) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer’s instructions. (d) A performance guarantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.
All as per item No 1 here-in-before but for Second coat with 0.3 Ltr (undiluted) PME diluted in 0.30 Ltr water to be applied uniformily on 1.00 Sqm area. (Second coat will be applied separatly) after curing of first coat.
S&F airfield backlight sign board made of polycarbonate sheet 2.00 feetx2.00 feet with 40mm wide and 400mm letter height with black background, 50mm dia PVC solid section of total height 1.10m, 0.80m above GL and 0.30m below GL fixed in PCC having minimum size 0.45mx0.45mx0.45m, the sign board should be made in consultation with Engr-in-Charge and fittings as per sample kept with Engr-in-Charge complete all as specified and directed.
