CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS AT D E L AND M SECTORS OF DOLPHIN HILL AND NAUSHAKTI VIHAR UNDER GE U-II, VISAKHAPATNAM

Providing Expertise Consultancy Services for improvement in the performance of existing Sewage Treatment Plant of capacity 460 KLD located at 'D' Sector of Dolphin Hill, Visakhapatnam by reviewing the existing condition of Sewage Treatment Plant and proposing Additions/ Alterations/ Modifications/ upgradation required for the same in respect of primary, secondary and tertiary treatment and disposal of Treated sewage water to garden areas, etc. by carrying out the following activities including submission of Detailed Project Report duly vetted by IIT/ NIT / Government University all as specified and as directed. Note: The consultancy services shall comprises of the following activities and these shall be read in conjunction with the scope of consultancy services, Special Conditions and Consultancy Agreement forming part of the tender documents:

Preliminary field data collection by accurate measurement of sewage inflow and treated water with flow meter and ascertaining the required capacity of STP with reference to the actual inflow of sewage water and quantity of treated water.

Collecting required numbers of samples of raw sewage water and treated water from the existing STP including conducting necessary physical and chemical properties tests from Government approved laboratories and submission of test reports to the Engineer-in-charge.

Checking the working condition of existing STP and existing sewage lines including comparing the test results of both raw sewage water and treated water with NGT and CPCB norms and suggesting effective and economical design by way of additions, alterations, modifications, etc. required for the method of treatment of sewage water, civil structures, electro mechanical equipments, etc. by adopting latest best available techniques in the relevant field.

Analysis and Design of Treated water distribution system for utilisation of treated water for various uses with necessary pipe lines and pumping stations.

Analysing and Designing the capacity of proposed electromechanical & hydraulic system and equipments to be used in STP alongwith supporting design calculations including providing technical specifications, General layout drawings showing all features and activities involved in STP, detailed drawings on suitable scale in AUTOCAD, Bills of Quantities [BoQ], Detailed Estimate priced with SSR/ latest competitive market price and vetting of the design and drawings from IIT/ NIT / Government University.

Analysing and Designing of the proposed Civil Structures [both Architectural and structural ] due to additions, alterations, modifications, etc. required for the existing STP alogwith supporting design calculations including providing technical specifications, General layout drawings showing all features and structures involved in STP, detailed Architectural and structural drawings on suitable scale in AUTOCAD, Bills of Quantities [BoQ], Detailed Estimate priced with SSR/ latest competitive market price and vetting of the design and drawings from IIT/ NIT / Government University.

Preparation of Bills of Quantities [BoQ], Detailed Estimate priced with SSR/ latest competitive market price and General layout drawings in respect of B/R and E/M services with all the features as per data collected and preparation of site and layout Plan on suitable scale in AUTOCAD highlighting the site of proposed structures as specified duly marking all services etc.

Geotechnical investigation and sub soil exploration as per relevant IS by trail bores at required locations as directed by the Engineer – in – Charge to a minimum depth of 10 m from the existing ground level. Testing for SBC, profile, Sub soil water table complete including Mobilisation of tools and equipments for investigation complete all as directed.

Adherence to NGT and CPCB Norms including all relevant Indian standards as well as application of modern technology and design to ensure optimum utilisation of existing resources and achieving safe disposal of treated water .

Preparation of prefinal draft detailed report complete incorporating all the requirements as brought out here-in-before.

Liaison with the Department for final clearance of scheme/ design/ drawings and thereafter submission of details for preparation of Estimate for tender action.

Submission of 10 Sets of Architectural design and drawings, Structural design and drawings, Detailed Layout drawings and related engineering data for the proposed upgradation of existing STP and its associated structures and Digitalisation of entire data by processing in different layers to get the complete view submission of 04 sets of Soft copies of the same for approval from CWE Visakhapatnam.

In addition to above, any desired details/ data / information including suggestions/ corrections as required by the Department during progress of work and after submission of report shall also be carried out by the consultant without any extra cost to the Department.

Submission of 10 sets final Detailed Report duly modified based on suggestion made by Department Authorities and submission of 04 sets of Soft copies of the same.
