1. Visual inspection : To carry out a detailed visual inspection for surface damages, cracks, seepage, local weakness and to identify locations of structural and functional distress and locations suspected to develop structural and functional distress of the buildings. 2. Non destructive test(NDT) : Non destructive evaluation of the structural elements by various tests as required locations and structural assessment based on these parameters. 3. Rebound Hammer Test : To check the compressive strength of concrete as per IS-13311-1992 Part II. 4. Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) : as per IS-516, measurements on the RCC elements to find out the quality of concrete. 5. PH value test : To draw sample of concrete and PH value test (to check alkanity of concrete) as per relevant IS-456:2000, BS-8110. 6. Carbonation : To check the penetration depth of carbonation in concrete. 7. Core cutting & compressive strength test : Take out the sample of cylindrical concrete and carryout compressive strength test at a min of one location per dwelling unit. 8. (viii) Corrosion monitoring : To measure the risk and rate of corrosioin of steel in concrete by half cell potential of reinforcement to assess the risk of corrosion. 9. Concrete cover measurement : Measurement of thickness of concrete cover to reinforcement bars by cover meter test. 10. Chemical analysis : To draw samples of concrete and carry out chemical analysis of the sample including measurement of chloride content. 11. Thermographic imaging : for inspection of moisture/dampness in the structures for pin pointing the moisture trail. 12. Structural Evaluation and Retrofitting Scheme : This would include assessment of adequacy of existing structural components and providing retrofitting scheme to strengthen the inadequate structural components including repair methodology, preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ), specifications for the work. Report must be submetted in quadruplicate. Report/BOQ/Drawings on structural issue should be vetted by IIT/NIT. Report must be submitted in quardruplicate.
