OD15121/2023-2024:Cost of Desilted material of total volume 1024586 cum (Volume of sediments for Wet Excavation is 585479.03 cum and volume of sediments for Dry Excavation is 439106.72 cum) after carrying out the following works: Under Water Excavation - Desiliting the reservoir by removing deposited sediments using suitable methods such as penumatic suction pumps or cutter suction dredgers or any similar equipment or sophisticated machines, so as to produce a solid output of 240 - 800 cum/day/dredger from the locations defined and for a depth, specified in the desilting plan which shall in no case go beyond the original ground level of the reservoir and 1. dumping the sediments at one or more locations using suitable conveyance identified in the Environment Management Plan (EMP) and approved by the departmental officers, including all labour charges, incidental charges and service tax and all other charges, 2. separating the components such as pebble, gravel, sand, clay and residue from the removed sediments, 3. stacking the components in measurable form by levelling and in such a way that there is no re-entry to the reservoir during rains, 4. the water pumped along with the sediments from reservoir for separation to be treated to retrieve the quality of water to that of reservoir water quality before desiltation and allow the treated water to flow back to the reservoir, (contractor can dig bore wells for getting water with the approval of departmental officers 5. disposal of debris to an environmentally acceptable place adhering to the emission standards of Central Pollution Control Board and/or the Kerala State Pollution Control Board in compliance with the environmental regulations and instructions stipulated in EMP including all lead and lift, all labour charges, incidental charges and service tax, hire charges of the penumatic suction pump or cutter suction dredger or any similar or sophisticated equipment, all tools and plants and accessories, fuel, oil charges, idling and mobilisation charges etc. complete in accordance with the norms specified in the Standard Opeating Procedure, Environment Management Plan and Government regulations. Dry Excavation - Desilting the reservoir by removing deposited sediments by dry excavation using mechanical means such as hydraulic excavator or any similar equipment or sophisticated machine so as to produce a solid output of not less than 1800 cubic meter per day from the locations defined and for a depth specified in the desilting plan which shall in no case go beyond the original ground level of the reservoir and 1. dumping the sediments at one or more locations identified in the Environment Management Plan (EMP) and approved by the departmental officers, 2. seperating the components such as pebble, gravel, sand, clay and residue from the removed sediments, 3. stacking and levelling the components in measurable form, 4. the water pumped along with the sediments for separation to be treated from reservoir to retrieve the quality of water to that of reservoir water quality before desiltation and allow the treated water to flow back to the reservoir, 5. disposal of debris to an environmentally acceptable place etc. complete in compliance with the environmental regulations and instructions stipulated in EMP Including all lead and lift, all labour charges, incidental charges, service tax, hire charges of the all tools and plants and accessories, fuel charges, idling and mobilisation charges in accordance with the norms specified in the Standard Operating Procedure, Environment Management Plan and Government regulations. Contractor shall provide suitable design for bunds and get approval of the Departmental officers before construction.
