Manning and operation of Polo Pump House Cheerbagh Pump House and certain repair replacement of E M water supply installation under AGE E M-I of GE Dehradun

Manning & Operation including maintenance of Polo Pump House with trained man power consisting of Centrifugal Pump Set - 03 Nos, Submersible pump set 02 Nos including One bore well, Chlorine Plant, DG Set, Valves and its accessories, electrical panels, starters etc on the following requirements :- (a) The pump house will be operated with one FGM in each shift for three shifts in a day including saturday, Sunday& holidays. (b) Proper recording of all operating parameters in the prescribed log book/Register will be done all as directed. (c) The work includes operation of centrifugal Motor/Pump sets, Submersible Pump Set, Chloronome Plant, DG Sets, routine maintenance of machinery, distribution of water as directed, cleaning of area etc as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (d) Successful operation of the plant at the entire satisfaction of GE is sole responsibility of contractor. (e) Operator will be responsible for timely collection of Disinfectant chemical, POL, Engine oil from MES store yard as and when required. (Total No of units=01 installationx334 daysx03 shifts=1002)

Manning & Operation of sluice valves at water supply installations, over head water tanks including water supply net work for proper water supply to users as directed by Engineer-in-Charge at Beacher Road area -01 No Valve man . Note:- The valve man will operate the valves of OHT/installations and the valve's of the distributions network of the particular area at the timings of the water supply as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Total No of units=01 installationx334 daysx01 shifts=334)

Operation and Maintenance of Cheerbagh Tubewell and 331 Med pump house with trained man power consisting of Tube well , chlorine plant / chemical dosing plant, DG set, valves and its accessories on the following requirements:- (a) The pump house shall be operated with one No FGM in each shift for two shifts in a day including holidays. (b) Proper recording of all operating parameters in the prescribed log book/ register shall be done all as directed. (c) The work includes operation of Tube well, chloronome plant, DG set, routine maintenance of machinery, distribution of water as directed, cleaning of area etc as per direction of EIC. (d) Successful operation of the plant to the entire satisfaction of GE is sole responsibility of contractor. (e) Operator will be responsible for timely collection of chlorine gas cylinder, POL, Engine oil from MES store yard as and when required. (f) The proportional recovery will be made at double the rate with ref to the quoted rates in case of non operation of plant. (g) The work includes cleaning of pump house area, maintaining of pump house premises as per direction of EIC. (h) At least one shift member in each shift shall be equipped with mobile phone. (i) All shift members should maintain healthy decorum and shall be fully conversant with visiting officers and office staff. They should be in proper uniform with MES logos and name plate on uniform as approved by EIC. (j) In case of power break down the contractor will liaise MRS to restore the power supply for running of plants. (k) The FGMs employed shall be ITI qualified .(Total No of units=01 installationx334 daysx02 shifts=668)

Notes for item 01 to 03:- (i) The rate quoted for items of outsourcing shall include minimum wages as notified by Government of India/ concerned State Government /Local Body, whichever is higher and also not less than applicable rates for contribution of employer towards EPF, contribution to ESIC, contribution of Bonus and LWC under respective headings/ sub itmes.

(ii) The prevailing rate/wage/contribution shall be as applicable on the bid submission end date.

(a) The installations includes operation of centrifugal pump sets, motor, Chlorine Plant, DG Sets and other machines/ equipments, valves etc as mentioned above and installed at site, routine maintenance of machinery, distribution of water for the period / shifts as specifid in the Items as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (b) The contractor shall employ ITI qualified Electrician with 5 years experience to operate the respective installations. Valveman having adequate experience to operate the above said system shall be deployed. (c) The operators deployed shall be well conversant with operation of installations and plant and shall be responsible for any normal maintenance of existing installations including DG sets. (d) Operators shall be responsible for proper recording of all operating parameters and test results in the prescribed log sheet /register all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

(e) In case of absence of an operator during a shift, payment of that shift shall not be made. (f) In addition to deduction of payment as above a panelty of Rs. 1500/- per shift shall be levied for absent period. (g) The rates quoted by the contractor shall include employment of a reliever as per labour law and nothing extra shall be paid on this account . (h) Contractor will be responsible for timely collection of chemicals, POL, Engine Oil from MES Store Yard as and when required. (j) The rate also include regular greasing and oiling of pump sets, motors gland packing for pump sets. However, other repairs/maint store required shall be measured and paid separately. The contractor shall be responsible for the complete security of the plant including necessary watch and ward, maintenance of garden lawn etc.

Supply & fixing of lead acid battery 12 Volts, 180 AH including 02 duly initial charging of the battery and fixing to its position complete all as specified and directed. Make : EXIDE/CHAMPION/AMARON

Supply only Calcium Hypo Chlorite having 65%-70% Chlorine Content (Calcium based granular disinfectant) for general water treatment & swimming pool water treatment, in factory sealed container/drum (45 kg packing), complete all as specified and directed. Calcium Hypochlorite detailed specifications : (a) Chemical analysis & physical observations : Description : Whitish granules Granular size (Mesh passing through - 100 BSS): 1.1(+ 0.1)% Water/moisture : < 5.00% Mercury & other Heavy Metal contaminants : BDL. (b) Strength in terms of quantity of chlorination chemical required to obtain free chlorine of 1 ppm per lakh liters of water: Requirement must be 140-200 gm per one lakh liter of water to achieve 1 ppm Average at injection point (site & raw water quality variations may apply additionally).

Material and Labour for construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 60cm x60 cmx60cm with necessary excavation , returing filling in, steel work for cover using MS sheet 3 mm thick welded/hinged MS angle iron 40x40x6mm forged flat iron hinges, sliding type lifting handle of MS bar 12 mm dia all as per shown in drawing No TD/EM/12 complete all as specfied and directed.

Material and Labour for construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 90cm x90 cmx90cm (internal dimension) with necessary excavation , returing filling in, steel work for cover using MS sheet 3 mm thick welded/hinged MS angle iron 40x40x6mm forged flat iron hinges, sliding type lifting handle of MS bar 12 mm dia all as per shown in drawing No TD/EM/12 complete all as specfied and directed.

S&F in replacement water pressure gauge glycerin filled of size 100 mm 0-7 kg/cm2 complete all as specified & Directed.

Material and Labour chequer rubber matting sheet suitable for 11000 volts 10 mm thick as per standed is specification all as directed.

M&L MS Chequered plate 7 mm thck. in size including cutting fabricated cold or hot welding at site drilling holes nuts - bolt and washers etc including angle iron 65 mm x 65 mm x 6 mm thick for mounting of MS sheet cover dully painted with black bituminous paint over one coat of red oxide primer and as directed. including breaking of existing duct for grouting of angle iron, and making good Pcc of the existing duct , at water supply installation all as specifid and directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6 type CI, using 20mm graded stone aggregate anchor blocks under line at the bends, slopes, pipe supports and at the dead ends to resist static/dynamic thrust loads developes during the running of water main line, including necessary form work and fair finishing to exposed surfaces without using extra cement complete all as specified

Material and labour for PCC 1:2:4, Type B2, using 20mm grade stone aggregate for foundations of pumping sets, motors etc complete including disconncting and opening, taking out to existing motor/ pumping sets and breaking/ demolition of old foundation of any size all as directed at site, specification complete, making good to all adjacent disturbed area as aper existing specification, supply and fixing of foundation bolts of high tensile strength with nuts, washers complete 4 sets and re-fixing of existing pump sets/motors at their original location, re-connecting and testing, including necessary form work and fair fixishing to exposed surfaces without using extra cement complete all as specified

M&L for earthing complete with using galvanized mild steel earth plate (electrode) 600 mm x 600 mmx 6 mm thick buried directly in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level with top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.50 m below ground level and earth plate surrounded with adequate quantity of charcoal dust mixed with salt to be packed thickness of 15 cm all round the plate using using galvanised iron strip 25x4mm as earth lead moulded and rivetted to earth plate at one end and connected to main equipment at switch/control board at another end, GI earth lead protected in and including 15 mm dia GI ‘medium grade’ pipe from upper end of earth plate upto equipment with & including 20 mm dia bore GI pipe ‘medium grade’ as water pipe from earth chamber to upper edge of the earth plate, GI funnel with wire mesh fixed on water pipe and provision of PCC 1:2:4 type B1(using 20 mm graded stone agg) as in pits chamber and RCC pit cover 50 mm thick of precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as per electrical plate No.3 of SSR Part-II 2010 and testing on completion all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting & taking up / down of unserviceable sluice valve for dismantling and opening carefully old non-Functional sluice valve of any description and in any position for servicing, over-hauling/ greasing etc. and material and labour for replacement of old unserviceable worn out SS spindle, Square Nut, Body Nut- bolts, Galnd nut- bolts, Galnd packing and reassembling the sluice valve after repair and refixing the same & testing after installation complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in -charge. Dismantling and taking out old unserviceable foot valve and opening carefully old non-Functional foot valve of any description and in any position for servicing, over-hauling/ greasing etc. and material and labour for replacement of old unserviceable worn out flap metal part, nut bolt, Leather or rubber packing for flap and top cover and reassembling the valve after repair and refixing the same & testing after installation complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in -charge. (Note: Spare parts required for replacement shall be measured & paid for separately under respective item).
