Repair / Encasing of 800 NB Raw Water Pipe Line from Intake well, FACT CD.

Leak rectification of 800 NB Raw Water Line up to phase 1. Works involves:- collection and transportation of suitable MS Plates and other required materials from CD-Stores. Necessary site arrangements shall be done where ever necessary. Fabrication / bending, shaping of plates to suit the requirement, identify the leaks, cleaning the area to be repaired, grinding and removing scales. Setting suitable plates and weld properly to arrest the leak as per the instruction of Officer in charge to suit the site condition. Wrapping of underground patching area of the pipe with suitable wrapping material is also to be done. Removal of scrap materials and cleaning the site.

Encasing on Intake Well Pump Header at pump house with 6mm Thick SS 304 Material. Work involves: Collection and transportation of 6 mm thick SS Plates and required consumables from CD-Stores. Necessary site arrangements including scaffolding / supports shall be done. Necessary patchwork of any weak / leaking areas of the pipe to be encased has to be done with SS plates as per instruction by engineer in charge as per schedule 1 above. The entire pipe line and TEE nozzles shall be cleaned thoroughly and 2 coat of coal tar epoxy shall be applied before encasing with SS material. Encase the 800 NB Header pipe of 9000 mm length below the floor of the Intake well pump house with additional 6 mm SS plates and full welding as per instruction of engineer in charge to meet the site conditions. The 5 Nos TEE Nozzles of 400 mm size (discharge nozzles of the pumps) are also to be encased with same material. The SS plate will have to properly rolled and formed to shape / profile and symmetry of the existing pipeline and nozzles being encased. All plate edges should be properly beveled. All encased joints is required to be full welded and ground & finished properly. Proper temporary supports shall be provided to the pipe line during the work. Encasing will have to be carried out at below the pump house floor and in the middle of the beams & column structure of the pump house. The leak rectification by patching has to be done during water shut down day and the encasing work has to be carried while the pump is working. After work completion clear the site and transport the scrap to the scrap yard / area earmarked for scrap.
