1 Contractor shall have to buy and bring ordinary portland cement as per IS 8112-1989 & IS 12269-1987 or its latest revision with ISI mark from open market and produce the bill of purchase along with necessary test certificate at the time of claiming running account bills. The cement shall be tested in the Departmental laboratory at the cost of the contractor whenever instructed by Engineer-in-charge. No extra cost should be claimed by the contractor for the same.

2 All materials except shown in Schedule-A and required for the work shall be provided by the contractor.

3 The contractor shall arrange lifting and carting of materials from departmental store to site of work which includes loading, unloading and proper stacking of materials.

4 The contractor has to provide safe store before taking delivery of materials.

5 The materials not shown in Schedule-A will be issued at issue rate or market rate which is on higher side if the same is available with the departmental and if found in the interest of the work.

6 Any material remaining un-used at the time of completion of work or termination of contract shall be returned to departmental store in perfectly good condition at contractor's cost. When materials are supplied free of cost for use in work and surplus and unaccounted balance thereof are not returned to the department, recovery in respect of such balances will be effected at double the applicable issue rate of the material or the market rate whichever is higher.
