REPAIR TO POT HOLES, RESURFACING AND PAINTING OF BITUMEN ROAD AT HQ CIF ( R) UNDER AGE(I) CIF ( R)

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg/10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well ramed and sealed with 9.8 kg / 10 Sqm , binder with 0.09 cum of stone chiping using 6.3 mm crushed stone aggregate rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller for depth of pot holes exceeding 30mm complete all as specified and directed.

Providing premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with 4% binder content of paving bitumen (VG-30) by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-30) at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% bitumen binder ( VG-30) content by weight of total mix using 20mm crushed stone aggregate, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne vibrator power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in automatic temperature controlled hot mixing plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. Note :- (i) The job mix formula shall be approved by GE. (ii) 5.5% binder content has been specified for quoting purpose of bid. If the quantity of the bitumen exceeds the 5.5% as mentioned above, no plus price adjustment shall be made. If the quantity of bitumen required as per job mix formula works out less than 5.5%, the recovery of the supply only bitumen shall be effected @ Rs. 50/- per Kg. The cost of transportation of material and testing charges shall be borne by the contractor.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and making 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc, and the like not exceeding than 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with specifal applicator machine all as per manufacturer's instruction including cleaning the surface by removing all dirt, dust & all other forein matters, demarcation at site and traffic control, complete all as specified and directed.
