REPAIRS, PAINTING AND CLEANING OF SEDIMENTATION TANK, RCC OH TANK, PS/FRP TANK AND ALLIED WORKS UNDER GE MISSAMARI

M&L for cleaning of semi underground sumps of 2 Nos of 4.0 lakhs Gallon capacity each through 7 stages of cleaning and sterilization consisting of the following stages complete all as specified and as directed. Location of work : Jalkendra, shivaji nagar. (a) First stage : MECHANIZED DEWATERING: This first stage consists of emptying water from the tank. A submersible pump is used to drain the tank of excess of water. Removal of water and semi sludge with the help of Sludge pump (electrical/hydraulic). (b) Second stage : SLUDGE REMOVAL: A sophisticated suction process is used to drain the excess sludge out of tank at a safe place away from tank. Removal of mud, sand and solid particles up to 4 inch size with the hydraulic sludge pump. (c) Third stage : HIGH PRESSURE CLEANING: The tank is then cleaned using high pressure jet machine. The rotary jet is used to clean walls and ceilings, whereas plain jet is used to clean the corners of the tank. The rotary jet acts as scrubber and can clean the most stubborn depositions. Cleaning of floor, walls and ceiling with the help of German made high pressure rotary jet pump having pressure range between 80-180 bars. (d) Fourth stage :MECHANIZED SCAVENGING: Mechanical scavenging using Eco-friendly, Health & Safety disinfecting chemical for removing rest over algae in water storage tank's wells to insure minimum harmful pathogens. (e) Fifth stage: VACUUM CLEANING: The additional sludge and impurities are then removed by using a Heavy Duty industrial vacuum cleaner and are again disposed at a safer place away from the water tank. An industrial Vacuum pump is then used to clean the leftover physical impurity from the floor. (f) Sixth stage : ANTIBACTERIAL SPRAY: After above steps of cleaning, the tank is treated with a food Graded antibacterial spray FDA recommended disinfecting chemicals to make it completely bacteria free and safe for use. (g) Seven stage : 360 UV STERILIZATION: The water storage tank is then treated with 360 ultra-violet (UV) radiator to make it bacteria free and safe for storing your drinking water. A specially developed UV Radiator is used to kill suspended or floating bacteria remaining in the tank. Note 1 : - (I) Work shall be executed by specialised firm with prior approval of GE. (iI) All T&P, Safety Kits, Transport etc shall be provided by the contractor without charging any extra cost. (III) ALL THE CLEANING & STERILIZATION STAFFS SHOULD BE UNDER ACCIDENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE. (IV) Date of cleaning of tank should be written on the outer surface of tank in white letter over black background complete all as direceted. (contd.....)

Note 2: (i) Company will submit Government Laboratory test certificate of chemical before cleaning, provide certificate confirming the completion of sterilization of water tanks mentioning the name of station and date of cleaning. (ii) Outlet pipe of OHT should be plugged before cleaning the OHT to avoid entering scals and the same shell be reconnected after cleaning the OHT and the quoted rate is deemed to include for the provision. (iii) Sterilization team will be comprised of at least 30% members who are minimum 03 months certificate holder in water tanks sterilization. (iv) Contractor will be responsible for rectification of complaints if any occurred due to broken of float valve / blockage to be included in quoted rate. (v) The work shall be carried through specilized agency as mentioned in PS.
