Supply and fixing of Stainless Steel SS 304 grade tubes, sections, plates, sheets and pipes of all sizes and diameters etc., including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges for fabrication of stainless steel works using SS welding rods including buffing, polishing, lacquer finishing, to present seamless finishing etc., complete as directed during execution.
The following equipment to be fabricated with deep drawing and spinning technology and argon welding with smooth finish. The items are fabricated with Stainless Steel of 304 grade and the testing for confirmation of SS AISI 304 grade should be tested at site and submitted the same to the department by the contractor at his own cost. The rate is including cost of packing and forwarding, loading, unloading, Insurance, cost and conveyance to site of work, all incidental charges and F.O.R at Vontimitta, Kadapa District. The rate is excluding GST.
S.S.Panakam / Milk Cans of 40 litres capacity of Total height of milk can (without lid) 591mm (plus or minus 4mm), External dia of base 346mm (plus or minus 3mm), Internal dia of body 340 mm (plus or minus 3mm), Internal dia of neck 200mm (plus or minus 0.5mm).
The Panakam / Milk can body shall be frabricated from a sheet blank having minimum thickness of 1.2mm. After fabrication, minimum thickness at the neck, body and bottom should be minimum 0.95, 1.00 and 1.10 mm respectively. Bottom ring flat shall have minimum thickness of 2.00 mm and the handle with 12 mm diameter rod. The lid shall be fabricated from two stainless steel (AISI 304) sheets, the cup is of 0.8mm thickness and saucer is of 1.00mm thickness. Thickness of top of the lid comes to minimum 1.80 mm (1+0.80).
The complete body shall be fabricated in two pieces. The bottom and top halves shall be deep drawn and spinned. The top and bottom pieces shall be welded circumferentially. All welding shall be done with argon arc process (TIG) and ground smooth. Top edge of the neck shall be folded.
The fixed handles 2 Nos with 12mm dia rod are properly bent, rivetted and spot welded on tapper neck with 2 Nos pad plates for each handle of adequately thick to avoid any protrusions inside the can for firm and ergonomic grip.
The bottom ring shall be fabricated with 2mm thick sheet formed and rolled. The bottom base ring is fixed to the can with shrink fitted with proper locking arrangement on the body. The bottom ring shall be provided with 6 Nos of drain holes of 8mm dia at equally spaced for draining of water and detergent from bottom of the reversed can and there shall not be any cavity on the ring, which could lead to unhygienic conditions.
The SS milk / panakam can lid of conical skirt shall be provided with 3 Nos air equalising holes of 12mm dia each. The lid shall have Mushroom shape to drain off any water outside. The lid shall be provided with two Nos punched holes of 8mm dia on the mushroom canopy near periphery of lid for locking / sealing the Can. The cup and saucer portions of the lid shall be seam welded to each other circumferencially and ground smooth. The shape of the lid shall be as per NDDB (National Dairy Development Board). The height of lid is 75mm and outer dia is 289mm.
All the weld joints shall be free from porosity, blowholes, pinholes, undercut, lumps, cavities etc., and shall be sound in nature. All welded joints shall be finished smooth to minimum 150 grit to provide a sanitary finish to all the inner and outer surface of the weld joint. The can surface including at the taper nece portion should be wrinkle free. There should not be any sharp corner.
The Can and Can lid shall be heat treated to relieve the stress developed during deep drawing and spinning. Thereafter complete surface shall be passivated with standard passivation solution to enhance corrosion resistance of the base material and welded surfaces.
Each Can shall be marked legibly and permanently with Manufacturer's name or initial of Trademark on can and lid, capacity in litres, Month (2 digits), Year of Manufacture (4 digits), Material of Construction AISI 304 SS. Apart from the above printing, the additional information as SKRS Temple, Vontimitta, Kadapa District are to be provided with laser printing on the Panakam / Milk can.
The test certificate should be submitted to the Department on Dye Penetration test of all weld joints, Surface finish check for 150 grit, Pressure test for leakage / bulging, Hardness test, Can weight with lid and capacity in litres, Dimensions and thickness.
