M&L for applying two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating on existing roof screed/plaster surface including equipments and supervision charges in following step by (i) Roof substrate must be pressure-washed with water with, a minimum working pressure of 1,400 psi is to be used to remove all dirt, dust, chalking and waste products, complying with standard specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
(ii) Inspect for cracks over roof screed, roof wall junction, water drain inlets/outlets if any, and clean and moisten them. Crack’s width should be wide up to 5-6 mm with mechanical cutting machine and Apply bond coat of SBR Latex in the ratio of 1:1 (URP 1: Cement 1) followed by groove should be filled with PMM by preparing Polymer modified mortar of CM 1:1 (Silica sand size ≤ 300microns) admixed with SBR Latex at a dosage of 15% of cement.
(iii) Providing 300mm x 300 mm Square / rectangle upstand of M20 grade concrete or with PMM around mechanical equipment like HVAC, airconditioning, solar panels. Etc. Apply a coat of two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating allow to cure for 3-4 hours and followed by apply two coats two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating reinforced with 45 Gsm glass fiber mesh or geo textile without dilution in the interval of 4 -6 hrs. Apply Hybrid PU Sealant at around the junction of fabricated stand inserted and wall mounting mechanical fixtures.
(iv) Providing Minimum 50mm thick angle fillet with CM of 1:3 admixed with SBR Latex at a dosage of 12-15% of Cement and a bond coat of SBR Latex mixed with Cement at a ratio of 1:1.(v) Premix hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating components A and B with an electric double paddle mixer stirrer for 2-3 minutes at a slow speed. The concrete surface must be brought into surface saturated dry condition (SSD). Providing and apply first coat of two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating to the existing screed/plaster at a rate of 0.5Kg/sq.mt/coat. Place a 45-GSM glass fiber mesh or 200- 225 GSM raw mesh between the first and second coats while the first coat is still wet. Allow the first coat to dry for 3-4 hours. Apply the second and third coats of two component, cold(brush/roller) applied, UV resistant hybrid Polyurethane waterproof coating with the same application coverage, but in a direction perpendicular to that of the first and second coats. Allow each coat to air cure for a minimum of 3-4 hours after application. Ensure that no void surface is left untreated or uncoated. All coats should be applied in directions perpendicular to each other, ensuring the correct consumption of material, resulting in a total dry film thickness of 1000 microns with system coverage in three undiluted coats at a rate of 1.50 Kg/ sq.mt/coat. Allow the system to air cure for 5-7 days minimum.
The material should conform to the specified technical properties: a) Tensile Strength with Fiber ≥9N/mm2 as per ASTM D 2370 b) Elongation at break ≥ 200% as per ASTM D 2370 c) Crack bridging ability ≥ 3mm as per EN 1062-7-2004(A) d) solid content ≥55% as per ASTM D 1,644-2001 e) Abrasion resistance 15mg confirming to ASTM D 4060 f) Shore-A 65 as per ASTM D2240 g) Tear Resistance with Fiber 40N/mm as per ASTM D 624.
