The item includes supply, transportation, installation, testing, commissioning and all incidental accessories complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The battery shall conform to the latest applicable Indian Standards, including IS 13369 (Valve Regulated Sealed Lead Acid Batteries, where applicable) and IS 1651 (Stationary Cells and Batteries Lead Acid Type), or their latest revisions/amendments, as applicable to the battery type. The battery shall be suitable for charging through a solar charge controller from a solar photovoltaic module and shall be provided with heavy-duty polypropylene container, corrosion-resistant terminals, vent plugs, electrolyte level indicators (for flooded type), and all standard fittings required for satisfactory operation under tropical outdoor conditions.
