REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF RMU (RING MAIN UNIT) CSSVCBS AND CONNECTED WORKS AT AF STATION JAMNAGAR

Preventive maintenance for indoor and outdoor type RMU (safeplus or safering type) comprising preventive maintenance activities and repairing the RMU during breakdown / emergency and routine testing all as specified below:- Note:- Quoted rates shall be deemed to include for the following:- (i) Preventive maintenance shall be carried out one time in year. (ii) Contractor shall also responsible for repairing the RMU during any breakdown / emergency. (with in contract period deemed including coated rates) (iii) routine testing shall be carried out once in a year. (iv) Contractor shall also responsible for gas required for refilling of RMU

A. The following scope of work shall be included under preventive maintenance :-

(a) Condition monitoring as per the scope defined:-

Condition based & Predictive maintenance.

Preventive maintenance.

Breakdown maintenance.

Overhauling, reconditioning & testing of existing equipment.

Failure analysis for major breakdown

(b) Performance Health Check-up

Checking of CB & Isolator mechanical & electrical operation Closing & tripping

Checking of Breaker close & open operation.

Mechanism Critical setting & adjustment shall be done.

Lubrication of mechanical critical part of Circuit breaker.

Lubrication of spring charging mechanism.

Operational Movement & alignment.

Alignment of open cable doors.

Physical healthiness of switches, indication lamp, auxiliary relay etc.

Bus bar tightness, bus joint healthiness checks & contact resistance check.

(c) Routine Tests (performed once in a year)

Testing of protection relays.

CB contact resistance, contact condition the pole.

Interrupter health check by HV test

(d) Reports:

(i) RMU of make ABB & Crompton are installed at site. Preventive maintenance, repairing the RMU during breakdown / emergency and routine testing shall be carried out through authorised representative of OEM

(ii) Spare parts required for Preventive maintenance, repairing the RMU during breakdown / emergency will be measured & paid separately as supply & fix in repair. Make of spare part shall be as recommended by the OEM.

(iii) Contractor shall submit necessary documentary evidence that Preventive maintenance, repairing the RMU during breakdown / emergency and routine testing has been performed by the OEM

(vi) RMU any type any way including VCB, load break switch and metering unit will be measured as one unit for payment.

(v) After Preventive maintenance, repairing the RMU during breakdown / emergency RMU shall be tested as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and test result in triplicate copy shall be submitted to Engineer-in-Charge

Preventive maintenance for 160-400 KVA compact substation (CSS) comprising transformer, RMU / VCB, LT Panel / APFC Panel by performing preventive maintenance activities and repairing the CSS during breakdown / emergency and routine testing all as specified below:-

Note:- Quoted rates shall be deemed to include for the following:- (i) Preventive maintenance shall be carried out one time in year. (ii) Contractor shall also responsible for repairing the CSS during any breakdown / emergency (with in contract period deemed including coated rates) (iii) routine testing shall be carried out once in a year. (iv) Dehydration/filtration/oil filling carried out by contractor. (iv) Dehydration/filtration/oil filling carried out by contractor

Note for all the items of BOQ:- If any above HT/LT Equipment and connected items become breakdown, the contractor shall locate the problem/fault at site within 12 hours on intimation by JE/Engineer-In-Charge and ensure that the fault is rectified within 24 to 48 Hours , failing which an amount of Rs 200 /- per hour will be recovered as penal recovery from any payment due to the contractor after expiry of 48 hours.)
