MASONRY WORK

Providing and laying factory made precast cement concrete solid blocks of grade M10 from approved manufacturer

For superstructure above plinth level up to floor five level, including all cost of materials, labour charges etc.

Steel work in built up tubular (round, square or rectangular hollow tubes etc.) trusses etc., including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer, including welding and bolted with special shaped washers etc. complete.

FLOORING

Providing and laying Vitrified tiles in floor in diferent sizes (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer) with water absorption less than 0.08% and conforming to IS:15622, of approved brand & manufacturer, in all colours and shade, laid on 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand) jointing with grey cement slurry @3.3 kg/sqm including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc. The tiles must be cut with the zero chipping diamond cutter only . Laying of tiles will be done with the notch trowel, plier, wedge, clips of required thickness, leveling system and rubber mallet for placing the tiles gently and easily.

Glazed Vitrified tiles Matt/Antiskid finish of size

Providing and laying Vitrified tiles in diferent sizes (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), with water absorption less than 0.08% and conforming to IS: 15622, of approved brand & manufacturer, in all colours and shade, in skirting, riser of steps, laid with cement based high polymer modified quick set tile adhesive (water based) conforming to IS: 15477, in average 6 mm thickness, including grouting of joints (Payment for grouting of joints to be made separately).

Grouting the joints of flooring tiles having joints of 3 mm width, using epoxy grout mix of 0.70 kg of organic coated filler of desired shade (0.10 kg of hardener and 0.20 kg of resin per kg), including filling / grouting and finishing complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

ROOFING

Providing and fixing precoated galvanised iron profile sheets (size, shape and pitch of corrugation as approved by Engineer-in-Charge) of total coated thickness 0.50 mm (base metal of minimum 0.45 mm thickness with total coating thickness of 0.05mm) with zinc coating 120 grams per sqm as per IS: 277, in 240 mpa steel grade, 5-7 microns epoxy primer on both side of the sheet and polyester top coat 15-18 microns. Sheet should have protective guard film of 25 microns minimum to avoid scratches during transportation and should be supplied in single length upto 12 metre or as desired by Engineer-in-charge. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling /self tapping screws of size (5.5x 55 mm) with EPDM seal, complete upto any pitch in horizontal/ vertical or curved surfaces, excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required.

FINISHING

12 mm cement plaster of mix:

1:4(1 cement: 4 fine sand)

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer's specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc. complete.

On steel work

Wall painting with premium acrylic emulsion paint of interior grade, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required to achieve even shade and colour.

Two coats

Applying priming coats with primer of approved brand and manufacture, having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content.

With water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre

REPAIRS TO BUILDING

Repairs to plaster of thickness 12 mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sq.meters and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

With cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand)

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. Note: - This item to be used for maintenance work judicially, necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item to be done.

Repair to existing RCC structure including replacing corroded steel bars and fixing new additional TMT steel bars using welding , drilling, fixing to existing structure etc. as required.

Dismantling and Demolishing

Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within the campus as per direction of Engineer - in - charge.

Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (including equivalent design mix)

Demolishing R.C.C. work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of steel bars and disposal of unserviceable material outside the campus at contractor's account as per direction of Engineer - in- charge.

Demolishing brick work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material outside the campus at contractor's account as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

In cement mortar

Dismantling tile work in floors and roofs laid in cement mortar including stacking material within the campus.

WATER PROOFING

Providing Fibre lamination works to the RCC structure using resin fibre glass and chemicals after washing the surface roughly cleaned and dry fill in the cracks with suitable putty, first apply the resin to the surface well spread and pressing, applying a second layer of resin to smooth finish for forming the whole to a solid mass including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc. complete as per the instructions of the dept. officers

Providing and laying water proofing treatment over the concrete surface by applying cement based two component polymer modified water proofing slurry coating (SIKA Topseal 109 or equivalent) after cleaning the surface free from scale, rust, grease, oil etc. preparing the surface to be true and flat and saturated mixing the liquid (A) and powder (B) components in the required ratio, applying in required number of coats with a suitable interval for hardening in between and finally finished by rubbing down with a soft, dry sponge including protecting the applied surface from direct sunlight and strong wind and curing by gunny bags or polythene sheeting upto 5 days etc. complete as per manufacturer recommendations.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND MATERIALS

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/ or by standard power driven percussion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes and necessary supporting arrangements for propping including providing I section or similar sections to support existing beams or the structures to ensure structural integrity during chipping and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge

50 mm average thickness

Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer- In-charge complete in all respect.

Epoxy bonding adhesive having coverage 2.20 sqm/kg of approved make

Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75 mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/Sqmm2).

Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make @ minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) modified plain/reinforced cement concrete for structural members having minimum characteristic compressive strength [with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10 mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria] with specified average thickness. Note: Rates shall be for finished surface area of concrete and shall include the cost of labour, concrete and appropriate approved Super-Plasticiser for rendering concrete as flowable and SBR polymer but shall exclude cost of reinforcement, centering and shuttering, strutting, propping etc (Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding/tapping with a blunt metal instrument)

50 mm thick in Grade M25 with cement content not less than 330 kg per cum

Providing, mixing and applying ready-to-use non-shrink high-performance repair microconcrete (of approved make) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75 mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 40 N/Sqmm2).
