Setting out the location of bore holes including shifting of drilling equipment at the locations, erection and dismantling of boring / drilling equipment at each location, As per direction of Engineer in Charge
Boring minimum100mm diameter hole in all kind of soils, up to 20 m or to top of rock(CR>10%), whichever, occurs earlier, as per specifcations and instructions of Engineer-in-charge. Boring shall be carried out as per the sequence of the bore hole numbering including Laboratory Testing on soil samples: a) Grain Size Analysis b) Hydrometer Analysis c) Natural Moisture Content d) Dry density and Bulk density e) Liquid Limit and Plastic Limit f) Free Swell Index Test g) Unconsolidated Undrained Triaxial Test h) Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) Test i) Consolidation Test j) Swelling Pressure Tests k) pH, Sulphates, Chlorides in soil Laboratory Testing of rock samples a) Dry Density b) Water Absorption c) Point Load Index Test
Coring in rock(CR>10%) using NX size double tube core barrel and diamond bit including Laboratory Testing on soil samples: a) Grain Size Analysis b) Hydrometer Analysis c) Natural Moisture Content d) Dry density and Bulk density e) Liquid Limit and Plastic Limit f) Free Swell Index Test g) Unconsolidated Undrained Triaxial Test h) Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) Test i) Consolidation Test j) Swelling Pressure Tests k) pH, Sulphates, Chlorides in soil Laboratory Testing of rock samples a) Dry Density b) Water Absorption c) Point Load Index Test
Collection of undisturbed samples at 3.0m interval up to final depth and conducting Standard Penetration Test at 1.5 metre intervals, As per direction of Engineer in Charge.
Performing Dynamic Cone Penetration test at various locations using 65mm dia. Cone with circulation of bentonite slurry as per IS 4968 (Part - 2) upto a maximum depth of 20 metre or upto refusal (when blow counts exceeds 150 for 300mm penetration) whichever is met earlier, As per direction of Engineer.
Submission of comprehensive geotechnical report including results of all field and laboratory tests, and foundation recommendations, and any other relevant geotechnical issues.
