REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN EARTHING AND LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM UNDER AGE I R and D KOCHI

Taking out old unserviceable aluminium strip including PVC/porcelain distancer any size, complete all as directed.

M&L for reusing the same aluminium strip 25mmx3.15mm fixed on roof, pillars, walls etc. including new PVC/porcelain isolator having not less than 50mm height with screws and placed at an internal not less than 50cm in such a manner that strip should not touch the wall/roof/pillar surfaces etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground above roof/wall/pole complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) New PVC/porcelain isolator included in quoted rate.

Supply and fix Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm fixed on roof, pillars, wall etc, including porcelain isolater having not less than 50mm height with screws & saddles and placed at an interval not less than 50cm in such a manner that strip shoulder not touch the wall /roof/pillar surface etc,. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground above roof/wall/pole, complete all as specified.

Supply and fix in repair of single pointed air termination Aluminium rod 12mm dia, 300mm long having one end flat with one 10mm dia hole fixing on roof top including fixing/fitting of termination rod at one end of GI pipe 25mm dia stand post with the help of nuts, bolts etc and making connection with roof/down conductors and making fixing arrangement of air termination rod over the GI pipe along with aluminium strip etc. all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screw, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete in replacement with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thick buried directly in ground to a depth not less than 2.25m below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.50m below ground level, earth plate surrounded by 15cm thick packed layer of charcoal and common salt alternatively upto 90cm and connected with and including GI strip of of size 32x6mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers and GI pipe 40mm bore light grade for protection of GI strip ,from earth plate to testing point for protection, 20mm bore GI pipe medium grade for water with wire mesh and funnel for watering including necessary excavation and earh work, PCC chamber 1:3:6 type C-2 with RCC cover complete all as shown in electrical plate No. 03 of MES Schedule Part-I, complete all as specified and directed.

Note:- (i) RCC pit cover shall be precast of RCC 1:2:4 type B-1, 80mm thick reinforcement with 8mm TMT steel bar @ 100 c/c in lieu of CI cover and the rate includes in the unit rate of item.(ii) Earth electrodes shall be protected upto test point using necessary arrangement with suitable size GI pipe upto 7.50m and the rate includes in the unit rate of item. (iii) The earth chamber shall be constructed min 3m away from the edge of the bldg pit and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item.(iv) If the earth resistance value turned out to be unsatisfactory upon testing, the contractor has to redo the earthing free of cost.

All as per item no: 6 above but for , but using copper plate 60× 60cm ×3.15mm thick electrode and 20×3mm copper strip as earthing lead

M&L in repair for GI strip 32x6mm with saddle and fixing screw etc. for down conductors from terminal block/panel board/main DB to earthing pit above ground and underground complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L in repair of copper strips of size 20x3mm from test point/ panel/DB body to earth pit above /under ground complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for GI pipe medium grade 40mm with all accessories all as specified and as directed.
