of Rs.34,000/-with their tender documents.
4 SUBMISSION OF TENDER
Tenders shall be submitted together with the other documents that form the tender. In the event of a
Contract, the tender and the documents attached there to shall be considered as forming part of the
Contract Documents.

Two sets of technical bid only (One Original + One Xerox copy) of tender documents duly completed in all
respects shall be submitted so as to reach at the above stated address on or before the date and time
mentioned in tender notice.
E.M.D and Tender Fee should be sealed in separate envelope and the same shall be enclosed along with
Tender document Volume-I (put original copy in original document envelop and one Xerox copy in Xerox
copy document envelop).
Both Original and Xerox copy tender document envelope should be sealed in one large envelope. On this
envelope, the Name and address of Tenderer, Name of Work, and date of opening of the tender shall be
written invariably. No condition will be accepted along with the given bid. Price bid fulfilled by the
contractor online only.
The tender shall be considered non-responsive if not sealed. Tenderer shall not be allowed to fill in or seal
their tenders at the AMC Office. Tenderer are requested to present the tenders well in time before
stipulated date and time of receipt; so as to avoid rush at the closing hours.
5 Erasures and other changes shall be noted over by the initials of the person signing the tender.
6 The successful tenderer shall have to pay Security Deposit worth 5% amount of the Ordered Value in
Indian Rupees as per Form “A” enclosed with tender documentsor as per acceptable form to
AMC within 15 days from receiving date of Purchase Order in the form of demand draft or Bank
Guarantee from banks mentioned in Annexure-I only ,the condition of which strictly followedby
successful bidder, failure of whichtender shall be liable to reject.
Validity of Security deposit (S.D.) will be refund after Successfully Work Completed. EMD will
release after submission of S.D.
The E M D of the contractor, whose tender is accepted, shall be forfeited in full in case He/She
does not remit the initial security deposit within the stipulated period and does not complete the
contract with AMC within 15 days from receiving date of Purchase Order.
Additional Performance Security:-
In the case of any Bid where quoted rate appear unrealistic, such Bid will be considered as
unbalanced and; in case the Bidder is unable to provide satisfactory explanation, such a Bid is liable to be
disqualified and rejected. However, the Bidder may be asked; at the discretion of the Authority only to
submit the Additional Performance Security calculated as under:
(i) If the bid price offered by the Successful Bidder is lower than 15% but up-to 20% of the Estimated
Cost of work, then the Additional Performance Security shall be calculated @20% of the difference
in the [(a) Estimated Cost of work (as mentioned in BOQ)-10% of the Estimated Cost of work] and [
(b) the Bid Price offered by the Selected Bidder]
(ii) If the bid price offered by the Successful Bidder is lower than 20% of the Estimated Cost of work,
then the Additional Performance Security shall be calculated @30% of the difference in the [(a)
Estimated Cost of work (as mentioned in RFP)-10% of the Estimated Cost of work] and [(b) the Bid
Price offered by the selected Bidder]
The Additional Performance Security shall not be treated as part of Performance Security
7 Unsuccessful Tenderer’s(i.e. L2&L3) Earnest Money will be refund after submission of security deposit of
lowest tenderer(i.e. L1). No interest will be paid on Earnest Money deposit.
8 The Conditional Tender will not be accepted and shall be rejected outright, unless, the nature of
condition(s) put up by the tenderer is acceptable to AMC. Any suggestions/alteration from the tender
must be mentioned in the main forwarding letter.
10 Tender shall also be liable to be rejected if –
i) Any of the page or pages in the tender is / are removed or replaced or altered.
ii) All corrections, additions or pasted slips are not initialed by the tenderer.
iii) Any erasure is made in the tender.
iv) The tenderer or in the case of a firm, each partner or the person holding the power of attorney
thereof does not sign or the signature(s) is (are) not attested by the witness, wherever it is
v) Tender fee and Earnest Money for required amount is not paid with the tender.
vi) Tender submitted without submission of document required as per qualification criteria, signing
relevant pages of the tender and amendments, if any.
11 Acceptance of the tenders shall rest with the competent authority of AMC, who does not bind
himself to accept the lowest tender.
12 The Technical Bid containing Vol-I (technical bids only) from the tenderer received, shall be
openedin the presence of the tenderer’s representativesat the time and date mentioned in
tender notice and the technical tenders shall be scrutinized by AMC for satisfying various eligibility
criteria prescribed for the tenderer for this work.
13 After this, the Financial Bids of only technically qualified tenderer who fulfils all eligibility criteria as
mentioned in tender will be opened. The actual date of opening of Vol-II (Financial Bid) of tenders
shall be communicated to technically qualifying tenderer only later after scrutiny of tender
14 Municipal Commissioner, AMC reserves the right
(i) To change, alter or to waive any technical or commercial terms, conditions and qualification
(ii) To reject all the tenders or the lowest or any other tender in part or full without assigning any
reason whatsoever
(iii) For making changes / relaxation in eligibility criteria at any time
15 It must be clearly and distinctly understood that the conditions of contract and specifications
shall be rigidly enforced and no relaxation on the grounds of customs prevailing shall be allowed.
16 The Price quoted for work must be of Site / Store delivery of Corporation GST EXTRA as per Govt.
rules. Prices must be firm for this tender. Any additional Govt. tax changes will not be payable to
the Contractor for this tender.
17 Tender documents must be submitted as per original tender documents that published in
web site https://tender.nprocure.com. No Changes / Addition in any text, documents in original
tender documents are allowed, failing which tender is strictly rejected.
18 Errors and Discrepancies in Tenders
Should the Schedule of quantities and Rates filled in Vol-II (Financial Bid) be found to contain any
errors, or discrepancies, the owner / engineer shall not permit any tenderer to change the
substance or price of his tender after the tender opening.

19 The tender for the work shall remain open for a period of 120 Calender days from the date of
opening of Price bid of tender and the tenderer shall not be allowed to withdraw or modify the
offer on his own during this period.
Any modifications or additions in terms and conditions of his tender will also not be accepted by
AMC.In such caseMunicipal Commissioner shall without prejudice to any right or remedy, be at
liberty to forfeit in full the said earnest money absolutely.
20 If the tenderer wishes to offer any discount in the event of this entire work being awarded to
him, he shall state so in the tender. Tender documents are not transferable.
21 Any False information given in the Tender will invitei nvalidation of any Contract awarded on the
basis of such false information at the discretion of the employer.
22 If first lowest tenderer not able to work properly then AMC reserves the right to give same work
to second lowest tenderer as first lowest sanction rate. if second lowest is not agreed with first
lowest rate then AMC reserves the right to give same work to Third lowest tenderer as first
lowest sanction rate.
23 No Advance payment or Performa invoice payment or bank through payment will be considered
even if any discount is offered for the same.
24 After satisfactorily Work Completed & Certified by AMC Staff, Payment will be given to tenderer as
early as possible on submission of bill. Taxes will be deducted from bill as per rules and
25 Bidder shall have to submit Name of Bank, Name of branch with address, A/C. No., MICR No. and
PAN No. of his firm. for refund of E.M.D.

from defects (Including concealed fault, deficiency in design, material and workmanship.)
27 No tender will be received after last date and time of receiving tender.

30 A tenderer shall submit the tender who satisfies each and every condition laid down in this notice
and tender documents, failing which, the tender shall be liable to be rejected.
31 This notice of tender shall form part of the contract documents.
32 Tender shall be received by Registered Post A.D. or Speed post or Hand Delivery only at The
Office of Tender Office, Central Record Office, Mezzanine Floor “B”-Block, Sardar Patel Bhavan,
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Danapith,Ahmedabad – 380 001, Gujarat (INDIA) and
technical tender shall be opened as prescribed date and time in the presence of tenderer who
may be present. The tenderer shall submit their tender before the last date & time mentioned
elsewhere. The tenderer shall take caution to submit their tender well in advance to avoid rush in
tender officer.
33 The tenders shall be received under Registered Post A D/ Speed post / in persons, should not be
adopted under the circumstances.
(i)Late tenders (i.e. tender received after the specified time of opening), delayed tenders (i.e. tenders
received before the time of opening but after due date and time of receipt of tenders) and post
tender offers shall not be opened and considered at all.
(ii) The tenders received (by registered post) after the time and the date specified in the tender
notice shall not be received by the concerned office from the postmen, for which, date and time
may be recorded on the cover of the tender as to when tender was refused by the concern officer
or Administrative Head or any other person in charge.
(iii) Necessary records should be maintained for refusal of such tenders in the registers for receiving
tenders and should be initialed by tender officer, Administrative Head or any other person in

If there is any error in writing, no overwriting should be done, the wrong word or a figure should
be struck out and the correct one written above or near it in unambiguous way. Each correction
should be initialed.
36 All Corrections and additions or pasted slips must be initialed.
37 The Insurance Company’s bond will not be accepted against the security deposit.
38 TENDER SHALL BE LIABLE TO BE REJECTED
• Not more than one tender shall be submitted by contractor or by a firm of contractors. no two or
more concerns in which an individual is interest as a proprietor and /or a partner&/or director shall
submit tender for the execution of the same work/tender. If they do so all such tender shall be liable
to be rejected.
• DISQUALIFICATION:
- Even though the applicants meet the required criteria,they are subject to be disqualified if applicant
or any of its constituent partner/s,director/s have :-misleading or false representation in the forms,
statements and attachments submitted; or -been debarred or terminatedor blacklisted by central
govt.organization /state Govt.organization/AMC/Any municipal corporation/ULBs etc.
- If,any of the directors,partners of the proprietor has a criminal history or has been convicted by any
court of law of any of the offenses under any Indian laws.
- If,any criminal proceeding is pending in any court of law in India against any of the directors,partners
or a proprietor and if any such proceeding culminates into conviction.
39 Interpretation of Documents
Tenderer shall carefully examine the Tender Documents and fully inform themselves as to all the
conditions and matters which may in any way affect the work or the cost thereof. Should a
tenderer find discrepancies in or omission from the specification or other documents, or should be
in doubt as to their meaning, he/she should at once address a query to the Additional Chief
Engineer (Electrical), 5th Floor,” C”-Block, Sardar Patel Bhavan,Danapith,Ahmedabad-380 001. Any
resulting interpretation of the Tender Documents shall be issued to all tenderers as an Addendum.
Verbal clarification and / or information given by the any employee/officer of AMC shall not be
binding on the AMC.
40 It shall be incumbent on the successful tenderer to pay stamp duty on the contract and legal cv
charges for preparation of the contract agreement.
41 Secure HVAC equipment premises with preventing entry of unauthorized persons, fatal or non
fatal accident, and illegal and anti social activities. Tenderer will have to file FIR at nearest Police
Station if any HVAC related equipments are stolen from the Building. The copy of FIR should be
submitted in the department immediately. If any thefts occurred than said amount shall be
deducted from the assign bill and in that case Contractor shall be responsible for any police case,
court case or any type of compensation suit filed by any person, institute, or government.
42 Payment terms:-
70% against delivery of materials
20% against installation
10% against testing and commissioning after satisfactorily completion trial run for 1 months
and handed over SITC work to client.
43 Tenderer shall have to furnish a list of adequately qualified personnel with him & have well
furnish workshop. The full detail must be given with the tender.
44 Tenderer must provide PF and GST Registration certificates along with Tender. Copy of Latest GST
Return and latest PF Challan attached with Tender.
45 Award to Contract :The Contractor who has filled overall lowest price of BOQ items will be
consider as lowest.
46 Municipal Commissioner has reserves the right to reject all the tenders or the lowest or any other
tender in part or full without assigning any reason whatsoever or to split the tenders and award to
one or more than one tenderer in the interest of public. The tenderer shall have no cause of action
or claim against.
47 If due to any reason, payment is delayed then tenderer is not eligible to claim/demand any
compensation for loss of interest thereof.
48 Joint Venture and sub contract must not allow in this Tender.
49. The work is to be completed in all respects within 2 Months from receiving date of Work Order.
This duration shall also include inspection at manufacturer’s works as per technical specification.
The AMC will give shut down for 1 to 2 weeks to install & commission the new equipments. The
Contractor have to be prepared for this and entire work to be completed strictly as per the
above given completion period.
50 The bidder is required to check the website https://tender.nprocure.comfor Addendum if any
before 48 hours of last date and time of tender submission. The bidder who quotes the bid
without attaching the addendum shall be rejected.
Addendum is a part of tender and the tenderer who quotes the tender without attaching the
addendum will be rejected.

The Scope of work under this contract comprises Design, Supply, Installation, Testing &
Commissioning of new 72 TR DX SPLIT UNITS & associated low side work including with 1 Year
D.L.P. Period of Complete AC System at M J Library Heritage Building, Ashram Road,
Ahmedabad, Gujarat. India. The work shall be carried out and completed under this contract in
every respect in conformity with the current rules and regulations of the local statutory
authority, ASHRAE / ISHRAE, the Indian Standard Institution, and with the directions of and to
the satisfaction of the Client and his authorized representatives. The Contractor shall supply all
labour and supply and install all materials, appliances, equipment necessary for the complete
provision and testing of the whole Central AC Plant work Installation as specified herein in Bill
of Quantities. The work shall include all incidental jobs connected with AC system installation
such as cutting/drilling and grouting for Pipes & Cables, to remove & install new equipment etc.
during the AC Plant shut down period given by AMC.
The Brief description of the work to be carried out is as follows:-
1. SITC of Air cooled DX Split Units and associated low side work as per the Bill of Quantities and
tender technical specifications.
2. Successful Trial Running of AC Units for 1 Month before handing over and starting of Guarantee /
Defect Liability Period.
After the work is awarded, the contractor shall submit the following shop drawings for approval from
the Client and Architect/Consultant as per client or his authorized representative’s instruction and
under guidance.
a. G.A. drawing and Power & Control wiring drawing for all AC Plant equipments &
Panels, DB, including Foundation drawings for equipments (complete AC Plant layout with
piping network ).
b. Earthing pits layout, including routing of earthing tape for equipment.
c. Cable Routing, Cable Tray layout, Cable cut schedule, Sections showing number and size of cables
in cable tray/trench, Fixing Details of Cable Trays.
d. Any other drawing required for completion of the project if required.
AS BUILT DRAWINGS
As part of the handing over documents after successful completion of the work, the Contractor shall
submit to the Client & its Authorized representatives AS BUILT drawings drawn at approved scale
indicating the complete AC Plant system "As installed"/Photos of All Equipments Layouts if required
by Engineer-in-Charge. These drawings shall be prepared in Auto cad latest version.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUALS
As part of the handing over documents, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer-in-Charge draft
copies of comprehensive operating and maintenance manuals, maintenance schedule and log sheets
for all systems and equipment included in this contract. These shall be supported with the
manufacturer’s operating and maintenance manuals.
The manuals shall contain basis of design, detailed technical data and drawings for each equipment
as installed, the erection, testing, operation and maintenance procedures, spare parts manual and
recommended spares for 3 year period of maintenance of each equipment.
The Contractor shall also submit the Preventive maintenance schedule for the equipment supplied.
The Contractor shall submit two sets of the final Manuals (incorporating comments, if any, of
Engineer-in-Charge) complete in all respects.
For importing any item if any import license /L.C. is required, the Contractor shall make required
arrangements. Any delay on this account shall be to Contractors account.
TRAINING OF OWNER PERSONNEL
The Contractor shall train Owner’s Personnel to operate the equipment installed, to carry out routine
maintenance work including lubrication, overhauling, adjustments, testing, minor repairs and
replacement. Nothing extra shall be payable.
Training shall be done before the expiry of the defects liability period. The period of training shall be
mutually agreed upon by Owner and Contractor.
MAKE OF MATERIALS
Use Makes mentioned in Volume-I technical specifications only and if any make not covered then
refer Latest Electrical S.O.R of Govt. of Gujarat R & B department of related category and still not
covered than then as per approved by Client.
SAMPLE, SUBMISSION AND APPROVAL
After award of work, the contractor shall submit the Samples & names of Makes of all equipments
& material ( going to be used in this tender) for approval from the Owner/Architect/Consultant
before using it. Subsequently it shall be his responsibility to get the samples/Makes approved in
due course of time without in any way affecting the overall schedule of completion of works.
INTERCHANGE ABILITY
All similar parts or equipment shall be interchangeable, with one another.
INSPECTION AND TESTING
Owner reserves the right to inspect any Equipment / Material to be supplied by the contractor as
part of his /her scope of work, at manufacturer’s works to confirm their conformity to the Contract.
The special conditions of contract and / or the Technical Specification shall specify what inspections
and tests the Client requires and where they are to be conducted The Contractor shall provide and
secure for the Client and his Authorized Representative every reasonable access and facility at the
manufacturer works for inspection and testing.
All equipment shall be inspected and tested as per an agreed Quality Assurance Plan before the same
is packed and dispatched from the Manufacture’s Works. The Contractor shall carry out tests as
specified / directed by Client or his representatives.
All the expenses related to inspection at manufacturer’s works & at site viz. lodging & boarding, all
facilities of including other related commercial expanses as and where required shall be borne by
the Contractor. Mode of transportation is Air lines only and for stay minimum 3 star hotel. If Air
lines facility not nearby city then through then through 1st class Air conditioning train /Air
Conditioning comfortable car.
Contractor has to consider lodging, boarding with all facilities for 4 persons from Client and his
authorized representatives.
All major equipments inspections and tests may be conducted on the premises of the manufacturer
at point of delivery and / or at the Good’s final destination in presence of Consultants & AMC
Contractor shall responsible to acquire the area for the storage of Materials & other works provided
The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for procurement of materials as
Client or any authorized representatives appointed for this work shall not be responsible for any loss
due to theft, pilferage, fire, accident or any other reasons, whatsoever. No any extra payment shall
be paid to the Contractor in such case
Time is the essence of this contract and work is to be done in functional building with all sorts of
safety aspects.
Client / Employer is not responsible or liable for any financial matter to pay any sub-contractor,
vendors in any matter or work.
All material shall be used as per IS, other relevant codes / manufacturer specification subject to prior
instruction & approval from Client / Consultants
No claim shall be entertained if the items stipulated in the tender shall not be executed as
per site condition / requirements.
No idle charges shall be paid to contractor if any machinery and man power remain idle and no claim
shall be entertained for the same.
AMC Reserves the rights to reduce / increase the scope of work up to any extent without assigning
reason thereof and the contractor has to execute the B.O.Q. items at tender rate.
Contractor has also carried out (1) Whole SITC work (2) Supply Work (3) Labour Work of tendered
BOQ items as per instruction of Engineer-in-Charge when required to do so.
If any underground cables (electric, telephone, communication, etc.), Gas / Water / Drainage line
found during execution, contractor shall start work at other available work front until such
obstructions are shifted. No claim for time extension shall be entertained for the same.
Defect Liability Period:-
Defect Liability Period of Entire work shall be 12 months from date of completion of trial run
for 1 months after satisfactorily completion and handed over SITC work
FREE SUPPLY OF MATERIALS / EQUIPMENT BY CLIENT
If any material / equipment is supplied by OWNER to the Contractor during Project implementation
then the Contractor shall receive these materials and equipment at site, handle with care and store
them as directed by the Owner’s representative at site. The Contractor shall be responsible for the
safe custody and shall insure all materials against theft and damage by fire and earthquake. The
Contractor shall maintain records of consumption as per Engineer-in-charge instruction. In case of
any damage to the material resulting in its not being suitable for use at site the Contractor shall have
to replace the same material at his own cost and without in any way affecting the time schedule of
the project. The Contractor shall return the surplus material back to the Owner in original condition
during the handing over process.
All Materials / Equipment supplied by Client and Contractor must have valid signed agreement.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR TENDERER
Qualification shall be based on meeting all the following minimum pass/fail criteria regarding the bidder’s
general and particular experience, personnel and financial position, as demonstrated by the bidder’s
responses in the forms attached. The AMC reserves the right to waive minor deviations, if they do not
materially affect the capability of a bidder to perform the contract.
1. Tenderer must have to Pay Tender Fee of Rs.1500/- through Demand Draft only in favour of “Municipal
Commissioner, AMC” payable at Ahmedabad from banks mentioned in Annexure-I only with their
tender documents.
2. Tenderer must have to Pay EMD of Rs.34,000/- through Demand Draft OR Bank Guarantee only in favour
of “Municipal Commissioner, AMC” payable at Ahmedabad from banks mentioned in Annexure-I only
with their tender documents.
3. Tenderer should be original manufacturer or Authorized distributer / dealers of approved makes AC
System and an authorization letter of current validity. (Latest authorization certificate/Letter must be
attached along with tender).
4. Tenderer must have minimum experience of SITC / SITC with comprehensive O&M of Split AC / Cassette
AC / D-X AC System at at various Places in any Central/State Government/Semi Government/Municipal
Corporation during last 7 years ending last day of month previous to the one in which Tender are invited
should be either of following.

One similar type of work order completed of Rs.27,13,837/- (80% of tender amount)
Two similar type of work orders completed of Rs.16,96,148/- (50 % of tender amount)
Three similar type of work orders completed of Rs.13,56,918/- (40 % of tender amount) in any

clubs etc. will not be considered).

6. The Tenderer must submit a solvency certificate from a Nationalized Bank/scheduled Bank of an Amount
of Rs.6,78,459/-(20 % of estimated cost of tender). Bank Solvency shall not be older than one year period.
7. Litigation History:
The bidder should provide accurate information on any litigation history or arbitration resulting from
contracts completed or under execution by him over the last 10 years. This should also include such
cases, which are in process / progress. A consistent history of awards against the bidder or any partner of
a firm may result in failure of the bid. In case the bidder has not provided such information and has come
to the notice of the authority, the bid shall be rejected at whatsoever stage and in such case all the
losses that will arise out of this issue will be recovered from the bidder/contractor and he shall not have
any claim for the same.

UNITARY REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENTS
The scope under this section shall cover the unitary refrigeration equipments such as
Window Air Conditioner, Non Ducted Split Units, Ductable Split Units.
The following standards shall be applicable

b) IS : 8272 Industrial cooling fans (man coolers)
c) IS : 1391 Room Air conditioners
d) IS : 8148 Packaged Air conditioners
e) IS : 2997 Air circulator type electrical fan and regulator
f) IS : 1169 Electrical pedestal type fans and regulators
g) IS : 374 Electrical ceiling type fan and regulator
3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The unitary air conditioners shall include refrigeration compressor, drive motor, air
cooled condensing unit, evaporator, refrigeration piping automatic control system
3.2 The equipment assembly shall be well balanced to achieve minimum vibration and
noise. The condensing unit mounted outdoor shall be suitable for the climate and
atmosphere condition prevailing to avoid / minimize corrosion . Necessary anti corrosive
treatments shall be provided for the metallic components.
3.3 The equipments shall meet the requirements indicated in the equipment data and shall
meet the cooling load specified at the outdoor design data furnished and the distance /
static head between the outdoor and the indoor units.
4.1 ASSEMBELLED UNITS
The unitary air conditioning units shall be of factory assembled and tested and of the
following category as indicated on the drawing and bill of materials.
a) Window air conditioners having single unit to house compressor, condenser, evaporator,
refrigerant piping and control system.
b) Split air conditioners having compressor and condenser housed in one unit located
outdoor, evaporator and controls house in another unit located indoor. Refrigerant
piping and power / control wiring interconnecting condensing unit and evaporators laid
c) Packaged air conditioners having compressor and control evaporated houses in one
unit and located indoor and condenser housed in another unit located outdoor .The
refrigerant piping and power / control cabling interconnecting condenser and the
indoor unit laid externally. The components for the various equipment assembly shall be
as specified in the following section.
4.2 COMPRESSORS
The Compressor/s shall preferably be of hermetically sealed Scroll / Rotary / twin Rotary type
permanently lubricated. Compressor / s shall be of Inverter type Rotary or Twin Rotary types.
The condenser shall be air cooled type consisting of copper tubes with Aluminium fins, propeller
fan with motor, sheet steel enclosure with air inlet and exhaust louvers mounting frame,
platform/ brackets etc. The condenser & all its components shall be provided with suitable
anticorrosive treatment. The enclosure shall be GI / Aluminium powder coated.
The evaporators shall be ducted or non ducted concealed or exposed types as indicated in the
drawing and bill of quantities. The evaporators shall include copper tubes with aluminium fins,
expansion valve, centrifugal fan with motor return air filter, supply and return air grilles and
louvers, automatic control panel with thermostat and enclosure. The enclosure for concealed unit
shall be of GI powder coated whereas that for exposed units shall be of ABS plastic The filters
shall be antibacterial washable and shall be of minimum 20 micron filtration . The filters shall be
easily removable for cleaning / Washing.
The controls shall be with automatic digital electronic LCD display having the following minimum

4.6. SUPPORTS & PIPING
Supports & Brackets
a. The equipment’s shall be properly supported with brackets, hangers, platforms, base frame etc
depending upon the type, location and capacity of the unit.
b. The supports shall be GI fabricated duly treated and painted for anticorrosion. The outdoor
condensing units shall be properly supported on MS frame work / platform properly grouted to
the RCC Slab / brick walls using bracket.
c. The floor mounted packaged unit shall be provided with base frame and pedestals with
necessary anti vibration pads. The ceiling suspended evaporator shall be supported using
anchor fasteners and suspension rods. The wall-hung evaporators shall have GI tensiled back
plate for mounting the unit, grouted to the wall / beam using anchor fasteners.
4.7 REFRIGERANT PIPING
a. The refrigerant piping shall be of Soft / Hard copper RS 250 conforming to EN 1057 Table
Y. The fittings shall be of shot end capillary brazing conforming to EN 1254. The pipes shall be
supplied in straight lengths and to be brazed to have required length to achieve full length
between the condenser and evaporator.
b. The fittings for connection to the condenser evaporator expansion valve etc shall be through
copper – brass composite fitting. The brazing / soldering material shall conform to EN.
c. The refrigerant lines shall be insulated with 19 mm GC coated EPDM / Class –O Nitrile
Rubber sleeves / tubing to prevent heat loss and condensation .Refrigerant piping running
along the partition wall shall be concealed in the wall with necessary chasing in the wall and
closing the same with sand cement plaster with chicken wire mesh.
4.8 DRAIN PIPING
The evaporator shall be piped to the nearest drain point / drain line using C-PVC pipe conforming
to 4985 Necessary water seal trap shall be provided at the evaporator &/OR at the discharge point.

THE SUCCESSFUL CONTRACTOR HAS TO OBTAIN APPROVAL FOR SAMPLES / MAKES OF
MINOR ELECTRICAL ITEMS FROM THE CLIENTS WHICH ARE NOT COVERED IN MAKE LIST
BEFORE USE. WITHOUT APPROVAL CLIENT HAS THE RIGHT TO ASK TO REMOVE THAT
MATERIAL FROM THE SITE.
EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT / SECURITY DEPOSIT
