General Notes: 1) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 2) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. These makes are merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V). 3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.

5) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. 7) "Substrcture" referes to the part of structure upto top level of ground floor grade slab and "Superstructure"refers to the part of structure above the top of the ground floor grade slab. 8) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 9) The quoted rates shall include necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials. 10) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed.

11)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 12) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost. 13) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills.

Notes for Earthwork: The rate quoted for earthwork excavation is deemed to have included the following: a) removal of all kinds of vegetation, small shrubs, light/heavy jungle etc., trees upto girth of 30 cm when measured 1 metre above ground level alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location. b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading required for keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any. c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps, d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced.

e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work. f) Contour levels to be taken jointly with the Engineer-in-charge and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at every 3 m grids for arriving at the actual quantity, g) Backfilling will be done in layers of thickness as specified below. h) Cost inclusive of necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges and other charges to supply all the required construction materials, i) cost of items shall include all labour charges, hire charges of machinery, lubricants, fuels and tests etc. j) Measurement/Payment will be reststicted to PCC/drawing dimensions only. k) The rates in respect of filling items, the net quantities arrived as per the actual difference in levels jointly taken by the department and the contractor after compaction of the earth as mentioned in the item description. However where it is not possible to take levels the net quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and soft rock @ 50% in respect of hard rock from the corresponding truck/stack measurements.

Clearing Jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area cleared as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Clearing of debris & Lead charges for lead of 15KM by mechanical transport includinmg loading unloading, stacking / levelling etc. Note:The rates in respect of this are applicable for NET Quantities arrived at after making deduction for voids @30%from corresponding TRUCK Measurement

Providing, supplying and filling in the plinth and other approved locations with approved murrum/gravel brought from outside sources in layers of not more than 250 mm thick, compacted with vibratory rammer / floor compactor and consolidated including watering to achieve a minimum of 90% of proctor density at optimum moisture content,etc. complete all as per drawing, Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (only consolidated thickness will be measured and paid for)

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 river Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm) at all elevations including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of form work shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1cement, 2 crushed sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20mm ) including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specification and drawings but excluding the cost of Formwork shuttering, centering and steel reinforcement at all Levels

Providing, centering, shuttering Formwork using steel plates, timber planks for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports, bracings etc. and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings,specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels

Note for the Structural steel: 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department. 2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062. Materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. 3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 4) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. 5) Welding Electrodes manufactured of specified suitable grade only shall be used. 6) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 7) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 8) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.

Providing Structural steel work using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted including in built up sections for columns, beams, trusses, structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, drilling, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of zinc chromate steel primer etc., complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. i) Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials.

Providing, supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting and fixing in position structural steel members like trusses, purlins, posts etc. using MS hollow/circular/square/rectangular tubular sections including appling a coat of Zinc chromate primer all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge

Providing and fixing Poly Carbonate sheet- Solid 3 mm Thick in Roofing profile sheets of approved size, shape and pitch .The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling/self tapping screws of size(5.5X55mm) with aluminium Jointing Beading for Polycarbonate sheets with EPDM gaskets/ seal or with polymer coated J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8mm diameter with bitumen and G.I. limpet washers filled with white lead complete up to any pitch in horizontal/vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed) thick masonry at all elevations with approved quality Fly ash/ FAL-G bricks (confirming to IS 12894) having minimum crushing strength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm and water absorption of maximum 20%, in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 river sand/ crushed stone sand) uniformly mixed in machine with approved 'non-shrinking compound' as per manufacturer’s instruction in specified courses of bond also providing horizonatal RCC band of 100/150/200mm x 100 mm (or as directed) at about 1.00 m c/c with 2 nos. 8 mm dia Tor bars and 6 mm dia links at 300 mm c/c in cement concrete (1:2:4), required formwork, complete including pointing, raking out joints, curing, cleaning, including independent double legged scaffolding, at all heights, depths and leads, dewatering area where required etc., all as per typical drawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes: a) In the fly ash bricks the mix confirming to the strength mentioned in the respective items shall be got approved by the department. The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20%(prefarably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source in Cuddlore in Tamilnadu approved by the department, from TANFAC industries, Cuddlore, Tamilnadu. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing. b)Reinforcement will be measured & paid for separately under relevant item. c) RCC band and formwork shall not be measured seperatly, however no deductions will be made in brickwork for the same. d) No holes in brickwall will be allowed for scaffolding. Only double tubular steel scaffolding be allowed.

Providing 20 mm thick water proof plastering in cement mortar 1:3 (using crushed sand) finsihed smooth with a floating coat of neat cement including approved water proofing compound added@2% by weight of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications, sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of surface, scaffolding at all heights,curing all as per specifications,drawings and as directed at site.

Providing 20 mm thick External plastering in two coats under layer 12 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished with a top layer 8 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (using river sand) admixtured with Water proofing admixture @ 2% by weight of cement used (in both layers) and as per manufacturer's specifications, sieving of sand to required fineness, double tubular steel scaffolding, finishing, curing etc. complete all as per Technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing Rough Shahbad Stone of minimum 40mm average thickness of size 600X600 mm (Approximate) over 150mm thick (consolidated thickness) stone dust backing including setting in position in footpath to the required level and line Pointing with C.M1:4 (using crushed sand).Joint shall be 20 to 25mm wide including filling of joints with cement mortar and making grooves etc. complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing and laying in position Damp proof course in cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 crushed sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20mm) including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. including water proofing compound added @2 % by weight of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications, complete as per specification and drawings but excluding the cost of Form work shuttering, centering at all Levels

Dismantling old plaster/skirting carefully, raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 100 m lead

Providing and grouting the joints of ceramic glazed flooring tiles of minimum 300-600mm long and 300-600mm wide and thickness not less than 6mm having joints of 3 mm width, using epoxy grout mix of 0.70 kg of organic coated filler of desired shade (0.10 kg of hardener and 0.20 kg of resin per kg), including filling / grouting and finishing in all colours and shades as approved by Engineer-in-charge complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The rate quoted shall also include raking of old joints and removing of old grout material from the existing flooring & cleaning for recieving fresh epoxy gouting complete.

Providing and fixing Minimum 17mm thick gang saw cut mirror polished (pre moulded and pre polished) machine cut Granite of Jet Black colour for kitchen platforms, vanitiy counters, wash basin counters, door frames, window sills, facias and similar locations of required size of approved shade, colour and texture laid over 20mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (using crushed sand) with joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing,curing,moulding and polishing the edges to give high gloss finish etc. complete at all levels

Providing and fixing Minimum 17mm thick gang saw cut mirror polished (pre moulded and pre polished) machine cut Granite of Jet Black colour for door stopper locations and similar locations of required door width size of approved shade, colour and texture laid over 20mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (using crushed sand) with joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing,curing,moulding and polishing the edges to give high gloss finish etc. complete at all levels

Providing and fixing factory made prelaminated WPC(Wood polymer composite) solid core flush door shutters of required size, colour and shade, including 1mm thick 35mm wide bright finished stainless steel (grade not less then 304) Piano hinges with necessary screws all complete as per detailed Architectural drawings, Manufacturer technical specification and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge: Density of WPC shutter shall not be less than 550 Kg/Cum.- 25mm thk (Hardy smith or equivalent) Note : 1. WPC Door sample to be got approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before procurement. 2. The quoted rate shall include cost of fixtures, paint mentioned above including the WPC shutter and frame.

Providing and fixing Colour anodized (of 20 micron thickness) aluminium work for shutters, windows, ventilators, Alu Louvers, wall spans and partitions etc. with extruded built up standard tubular sections / Z Sections and other sections confirming to IS 733 and IS 1285 fixed with rawl plugs and stainless steel screws or with fixing clips or with stainless steel expansion hold fastners including necessary filling up of gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required PVC / neoprene felt etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically where ever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P brass / stainless screws all complete as per architectural drawings and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of PVC / neoprene gasket required. (Weight of the Aluminium sections shall not be less than Specified in the drawings). The work shall be carried out complete as per approved shop drawing and the relavent portion of technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Notes: 1)Only anodized aluminium sections, aluminum beading, aluminium sheets & aluminium handles used will be measured for payment. The rate quoted is deemed to have included the cost of all brass concealed tower bolts, screws, gasket, weather strips, PVC lining, etc. and no seperate measurement / payment will be made for the same. 2) Glass, particle boards, aluminium grills, brass mesh, louvers, etc. will be measured & paid separately under relevant items. 3) All fittings shall be of matching colour anodised of aluminium sections. 4) A long M.S. Rod at both ends to be provided in all aluminium shutters in top & bottom horizontal members internally connecting vertical members and fixed with M.S. washers and nuts. No measurement and payment shall be made for this. 5) Aluminium Frames to be fixed with walls / columns with minimum 100 mm long Brass screws / Stainless steel screws and necessary hold fasts. For fixing of frames with RCC members, for Aluminium windows/louvers, doors having area of equal to 10 sq.m or above, Carbon steel zinc cozted anchor fasteners shall be used. No measurement and payment shall be made for these items. 6) All aluminium frame and shutters Joints shall be of mitred joints with necessary cleats/ plates . 7) Filling the gap between aluminium frame & adjacent RCC / Brick work / Stone work by providing weather silicon sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer-in-charge complete up to 5 mm depth and 5 mm width.

Manufacture , supply and installation of CNC cut 4 mm thick (alcopan)aluminium composite panels in the external vertical faces/duct & other areas and flush with the facade system for inlet of fresh air as per the design / details including all necessary aluminium frames, sub frames , peripherals flashings to avoid any ingress of water inside the building etc. complete as per details in approved shop drawing and specifications of BARC and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge

Providing and fixing aluminium hanging heavy quality floor door stopper ISI marked with twin rubber stoppers, anodised transparent or dyed to required.colour or shade with necessary screws etc. complete.

Providing and fixing Stain less steel body roller wheels for sliding shutters of windows etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by Engineer.

Providing and fixing 12 mm thick pre-laminated particle board flat pressed 3 layer or graded wood particle board confirming to IS 12823 Grade-I, Type - II in panelling fixed in aluminium doors, windows, shutters and partition frames with C.P Brass / Stainless steel screws etc. complete as per architectural drawings and directions of Engineer-in-charge Prelaminated particle board with decorative lamination on both sides

Cleaning of existing storm water chambers/ SEWER LINES MANHOLES of varying depth at various locations by removing the silt, leaves, small stones, earth etc. within a lead of 50 mtr during monsoon period including labour required for removing and replacing C.I Covers at storm water chamber.

Cleaning of RCC/ PVC water tanks with bleaching powder and as directed by EIC (Bidder shall inspect water tanks at various locations before quoting the rates)

Providing and constructioning Inspection chambers of Internal size clear dimention of 900x600 mm in 230 thick brick masonry with cement mortar 1:4 over a bed of 150 mm thick 1:4:8 cement concrete foundation, plastering with cement mortar 1:4 mm thick on inside, outside and all exposed sufaces finished with a floating coat of neat cement, brick corbelling at top to provide opening of 900X450mm, embedding the frame and cover with CC1:2:4 concrete, and fixing castiron steps if necessary at 300mm intervals complete. Depth of chamber not exceeding 900mm.(excavation,soling,castiron cover and C.Isteps will be paid separately under relevant item)

Removing of silt, dry leaves, murrum, small Boulders, etc. completely from the bed of open nallah, drains, open rubble pitched drains, canals of size up to 1000mm bottom width & disposing the removed earth within a lead of 50 mtr during monsoon period. The rates are including removing of green wild creepers etc. silt thickness upto 100 mm thick and upto 3.00 M depth.

Cleaning of existing storm water Hume Pipe lines of Different Diameters up to 600mm dia / Pipe culverts mentioned below and at all locations such as road, berms/ lawns, burried inside the building which are partly or fully filled with silt, small boulders, dry leaves, grass, etc. by disposing the removed debris within a lead of 50 mtrs and as directed by the Engineer In Charge.

Providing, supplying "JCB" loader cum excavator, Dumpers including operator and helper for executing the work like excavation, grading, levelling, debris cleaning and other works all as directed byEngineer In Charge" As and whenever required"

Conditions for JCB:-

a) The above rates shall be inclusive of JCB, Fuel, Operator, Helpers and other consumables etc.

b) The rates are inclusive of all Taxes.

c) In & Exit timings at city plot main gate of BARC shall be strictly considered for the billing / measurement/payment.

d) Break Down Hours and Lunch break timings shall not be considered for payment.

e) Fraction of hours shall be rounded off to nearest half an hour at the time of preparing running bills/final bill.

f) All the operators, drivers shall have valid Driving license and address Proof.

g) Rate shall be firm for the entire period of contract. No revision of rates shall be considered.
