1) REDUNDANT PLC/DCS/PAC SYSTEM Supply of Indigenous make state of the art fully redundant PLC/ PAC/ DCS system, with Processing unit, power supply, all types of i/o modules, communication modules, bus interface modules, configurable touchscreen HMI, required communication ports etc complete for Pelton turbine driven Generator No. 4 (50 MW) of Kuttiady Hydro Electric Project, Kakkayam. The PLC system shall have a panel mounted HMI with control and indications of the machine operating in auto sequence. The PLC system shall give commands and accept signals from digital governor, digital exciter, auto sequencer and other auxiliary equipment for operating the machine in auto sequence. The system shall have communication interfaces in the required protocols for interface with central station SCADA. The entire PLC System should act fail safe. The new PLC modules shall be placed replacing existing PLC modules. Existing Controls and indication from UCB shall continue to be available
LOCAL SCADA/HMI OPERATOR AND ENGINEERING WORK STATIONS Supply of 2 Nos Local Operator cum historian workstations , a mobile engineering workstation (laptop) , licensed SCADA software with 1 Development and 3 runtime licenses (without tag limit).Customized screens for operation, control, indication, metering, logs ,trends and event recordings shall be made available in this PC
MANDATORYAND RECOMMENDED SPARES Supply of spares for Programmable logic controller based control system as recommended by the Contractor/KSEB and Mandatory spares as attached in the listList of mandatory spares are prepared based on the existing systems. For mandatory spares and recommended spares 10 years spare part support should be insured by the successful bidder.
SOFTWARES a) Software for PLC program design, editing, online monitoring, uploading, downloading , flashing firmware etc. b) PC software for design and customization of screens of the panel HMI with license if any . c)PC software for configuration of any field instruments/transducers supplied as part of this contract b) PC software for design and customization of screens of the supplied HMI complete with license .

1) Installation of PLC, designing of the PLC program according to site requirement, testing and commissioning of the system . Configuration and testing of i/os from the existing systems such as digital governor and exciter .Configuration and testing of communication interfaces to local and central station SCADA system. 2)Installation and testing of SCADA software. Design and configuration of screens , trends, event recorder ,reporting etc according to site requirement. 3)Imparting training for KSEBL personnel.
