DAY TO DAY UPKEEP AND CERTAIN REPAIR TO RIGID / FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT OF AIRFIELD AND MAINT OF RUNWAY SHOULDER AND VARIOUS MISC WORKS IN AIRFIELD AREA IN TECH AREA AT AF STN HALWARA

M& L for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on rigid/ flexible pavements and the like exceeding 10cm wide with one coat of water based paint (IS -164- 1981), (white, orange, black or golden yellow) including preparation of surface, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 01 above but not exceeding 10 cm wide.

M&L for one coat of white wash on old rigid / flexible pavement surfaces including preparation of surfaces, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Applicable to item No 1.00 to 3.00 - Condition 46 of IAFW 2249 shall not be applicable since the scope of work is of repeated nature due to Opeartional requirment basis and will be measured & paid accordingly.

M&L for repair to concrete slab surface (depressed portion / cracked portion) by cutting damaged / spilled portion to required depth removing useless, worthless, all loose and foreign materials etc to a distance exceeding 500 m but not exceeding 1000 m. Cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, filling and levelling the surface with epoxy mortar after priming including formwork, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repair to flexible surface (depressed portion/cracked portion ) by cutting damaged /spilled portion to required depth removing useless worthless all loose and foreigh materials etc to a distance exceeding 100m but not exceeding 500m. Cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, filling and levelling the surface with epoxy tar compound mortar after priming including formwork where required, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repair to damaged broken cement concrete slab of Runway by cutting to required depth (minimum 10mm) with cutter or chisel, cleaning surfaces by removal of loose material & dust by blowers, disposal off rubbish outside MOD land and filling in elastomeric compound all as per manufacturer's instruction including preparation & priming of surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement 4 mm thick industrial plastic fragile sheet fixed to industrial plastic frame in triangular / rectangular shape with the help of industrial plastic nut and bolts, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement 4 mm thick ACP sheet 4'X4' size including letter numbering with 3m tape of BP as per site requirement, fixed to blastpan wall with the help of 4" screw with rawel plug minimum 6 Nos screw for each sheet in triangular / rectangular shape etc, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in replacement WPC frame of cross sectional area not less than 54 sqcm or 90mm X 60mm made out of machine compresses with homogeneous fine cellular structure having smooth outer integeral skin fixed with industrial plastic nut and bolts, complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Retro Reflective tape ( any colour) fixed on airfield sign boards, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for writing letters, arrows, dashes, lines or figures ( Block, Roman, Italicor Indian) with retro reflectrive tape (of any colour) upto 40 cm high and 4 cm wide in sign boards, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L in replacement to MAFI sign board sheet of different size outer body of complete polycarbonet transparant sheet 4mm thick with acrylic tape for back let board for letters as per existing MAFI, after fixing of sheet and letter the board should as per existing position etc, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (a) Number and shape of letters cut from the tape shall be as direction of Eingineer-in-Charge as per existing board. (b)The rate of polycarbonet sheet, acrylic tap and cutting of letters from the tap etc shall deemed to be included in quoted rate.

M&L for cutting of PQC Slabs (300 mm thick) to desired depth & profile, removal of all rubbish out side MoD premises (Measurement will be length X depth of cutting), complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Cement Concrete of in ground floor and as in pavings exc 15cm in thickness ( below or above ground level) in patches & removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Rough excavation not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material exceeding 1.5km but not exceeding 5 KM and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embarkments of travers wall, blast pan and runway shoulders etc including raising (or lowering) earth spreading in layers not exceeding 30cm thick watering, ramming, rolling and finish to required size, shape etc not exceeding 4.5m heigh from base, complete all as specified and directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surface by hand roller 0.2 to 0.5 tonne roller and well rammed with power rammers to achieve 98% Procter density, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of reinforced cement concrete in ground floor and as in pavings not exceeding 15cm in thickness ( below or above ground level) in patches & removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for mild steel bars TMT 10 mm dia and over cut to length bent to shape required including bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9mm dia or securing with clips, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing precast cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 using 20 mm garded stone aggregate in landings, cover slabs (for man holes etc) chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, shelves and similar articles with plain faces and set in cement mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 200mm thick DLC with 7 days strength as 10 Kg/Sqcm, design mix, using 40mm graded stone aggregate with minimum cement content 180 kg/cum including spreading, rolling and consolidating to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 10 mm thick layer of coarse sand, spread, levelled, watered & well rammed, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 125 micron polythene film laid over sand layer including necessary cuttuing, overlap not less than with 75 mm side lap & 150 mm end lap, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Laps shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) Sand layer shall be measured & paid seprately under relevent item.

M&L for pavement quality concrete (PQC) of flexural strength 45 Kg/Sqcm using mimimum 400 kg of cement/Cum as per design mix including mixing of traingular polyster fiber @ 25% by weight of cement in PQC, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Construction joints, dummy joints (contraction joints) and expansion joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (ii) Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints. (iii) Price adjustment shall be applicable if more/less quantity of cement content is used/approved in the execution of work under this item @ Rs. 5.40/Kg of cement. (iv) Polyester non circular fibre as secondary reinforcement mixed in cement concrete shall be measured and paid separately as 'Supply only" under relevant item of this schedule.

Supply only non circular polyster fiber as secondary reinforcement (Recron 3S) @ 1kg / Cum of concrete, complete all as specified and directed.

Brooming to surfaces or making impressions of expanded metal while concrete is green, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for forming 25mm wide expansion joints to a full depth of concrete filled with polyurethane joint sealant compounds using mechanical means to a depth of 12mm with minimum performance guarantee of 5 years and minimum movement accommodation facter (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirements of BS- 5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis / water resistance test including 2 coats of primer and fixing approved quality backup 30 mm dia polyethylene rod over 25mm wide expansion pad in position as required as per manufacturers instructions, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The contractor shall submit written performance guarantee for 5 years to the Engr-in-charge.

M&L for forming 10mm wide construction joints by cutting upto 2/3 depth of total thickness filled with polyurethane joint sealant compounds using mechanical means to a minimum depth of 10mm with minimum performance guarantee of 5 years and minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirements of BS-5212, BS-4254 and EN - 141875-2003 for Hydrolysis / water resistance test including 2 coats of primer and fixing approved quality of backup 12mm dia polyethylene rod in position as required as per manufacturers instructions using marking taps to avoid slippage on sides, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- The contractor shall submit written performance guarantee for 5 years to the Engr-in-charge.

M&L for 100 mm thick PCC 1:4:8 (Type D-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in pavement sub base, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for 100 mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in floor and finishing cement concrete surface even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L in repair 80mm thick Machine pressed precast cement concrete interlocking paver block with Grey cement and no pigment of any shape and size confirming to IS15658-2006, M-40 Grade and laying over and including 25mm thick sand cushioning, complete all as specified and directed.

Grass cutting/vegetation clearance of ground including leveling etc using Tractor not less than 50 HP capacity and Bush Cutter (For around lights, all type of boards and locations where tractor can not reach) including fuel, crew consisting of driver and deployment of 02 labours daily for collection of grass and removal outside MOD land, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- 1. The grass after cutting should not be more than 50mm above ground level. 2. Work shall be carried during non flying hours specially adjacent to runway, PTT & shoulder of runway & PTT etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of all the above provisions and nothing extra shall be admissible. 4. 02 Labours are to be deployed by the contractor daily to collect the grass / vegetation cut and spreaded over runway / taxi tracks and disposal of the same outside MOD land. The rate of 02 labours for deployment daily and removal of grass outside MOD land are deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted and nothing extra shall be admissible on this ground from the Govt.

Grass cutting/vegetation clearance of ground including leveling etc using TRACTOR, STRAW REAPER, TROLLEY AND BUSH CUTTER (For around lights, all type of boards and locations where tractor can not reach), Tractor not less than 50 HP capacity including fuel, crew consisting of driver and trollery of size not less than 11 feet x 6.50 feet x 2 feet and covered with wire mesh net upto 4 feet height above top of trolley for collecting grass and removing the same outside MOD land etc, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- 1. The grass after cutting should not be more than 50mm above ground level. 2. Work shall be carried during non flying hours specially adjacent to runway, PTT & shoulder of runway & PTT etc. 3. Grass should be collected in grass collector mounted behind the tractor. 4. The rate quoated shall be inclusive of all provisions and nothing extra shall be admissible.

Cleaning of lined / pucca drain of any description or any shape etc exceeding 0.50 Sqm in cross section area by excavating mud in any situation including cutting and cleaning all shurbs, grass vegetation, plants etc from in side portion of drain as well as on both side of drain(at ground level) to a distance of 1.5m on both side and removing the same to a distance up to 500 m and dispositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.
