Repair/Replacement of LT UG cable and allied works at DSC Centre Kannur under AGE(I) Cannanore.

Amount

Excavating in trenches n.exc. 1.5m wide and n.exc. 1.5m in depth for laying of LT UG cable, pipe, pole, stay etc and n exc 10sqm on plan and getting out in hard/dense soil including taking out and removal of old bricks laid over for protection of cable all as specified and directed.

Returning and filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick with soil obtained from excavation all as directed

Removing excavated materials (soil) to a distance n exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level 1.5m above starting point all as specified and directed.

Supply and spreading in trenches with fine dry river sand for cushioning of cable and compacted in layers all as specified and directed. Note :- Punned thickness shall be measured / paid.

Supply and laying Best quality, locally available, sub class ‘B’ bricks (Old Size) for cable protection cover, laid flat and dry in trenches over the cable , perpendicular to the direction of cable complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Labour only for laying of bricks sub class ‘B’ bricks (Old Size) reused for cable protection cover, laid flat and dry in trenches over the cable , perpendicular to the direction of cable complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Serviceable bricks obtained from item No 01 shall be reused.

Material and labour for taking out old insulators bindings and jumperings and stringing of the sagged ACSR Conductors/ GI earth continuous wire on pole including making insulators bindings and jumpering using new aluminium binding wires all as directed. Note:-Binding wire included in Quoted rate.

Opening / disconnecting the electrical connection of defective / burnt out underground LT cable of any size 2 to 4 core from main switch/DB/Junction boxes/LT panels/ LT OH Line,taking out the required length of cable from existing loop, cutting the defective portion of cable, providing required thimbles/connectors at cable end and reconnecting the cable in previous location with existing main switch/DB/Junction boxes LT/OH Line etc all as directed. Note (i) The cost of required earth work ie excavation, returning filling relaying of sand and bricks and cost of drawing the required length from protection pipe and the required work to match the existing surface is deemed to be included in quoted rates and nothing extra should be paid on this account (ii) Additional cable/protection pipe required at site if any shall be measured and paid separately.

Dismantling/ disconnecting/ removing the faulty / burnt out overhead conductor of any type/size from insulator on LT pole any type after taking proper shutdown, loose the binding wire in each insulators and disconnecting cable connection if any, remove the burnt / damage conductor/earth wire, making joint with new ACSR conductor of suitable size as directed, restretching all the loose spans for tightening to maintain proper sag, binding conductor & earth wire with insulators with new binding wire of existing size, making connection of existing LT cable in old position and testing overhead line all as directed. Note ; (i) Cost for attending fault, disconnection and jointing of binding wire with insulator, restretching making connection with existing cable deemed to be included in quoted rates and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) Cost for new ACSR conductor,earth wire, insulators used if any shall be measured & paid separately. Cost of binding wire included in quoted rates.

M&L for Structural steel work in replacement of existing unserviceable Cross arms bracing, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from steel sections including nuts, bolts, washers, welding , bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts in any shape or size as indicated or as directed including applying two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm thick buried directly in ground(earth plate not less than 2.25 mtr deep below the normal ground level ) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 mtr below the normal ground level connected to galvanized earth wire 4mm dia by means of nuts bolts,washers,check nuts of iron or steel including test point PCC pits and RCC cover in PCC 1:2:4 (type B-1) including iron angle frme 40*40*6mm. and medium grade GI watering pipe 20mm dia with funnel and wire mesh and 15 mm bore GI pipe light grade proection pipe including excavation and charcoal ,common salt surrounded with 15cm all around the plate all as specified and shown in EP-3 of SSR Part-I

M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm tthick buried directly in ground(earth plate not less than 2.25 mtr deep below the normal ground level ) with top edge of plate not less than 2.5 mtr below the normal ground level connected to galvanized earth strip 25x3 mm thick by means of nuts bolts,washers,check nuts of iron or steel including test point PCC pits and RCC cover in PCC 1:2:4 (type B-1) medium grade GI watering pipe 20mm dia with funnel and wire mesh and 40 mm bore GI pipe light grade proection pipe up to test point etc including excavation and charcoalt ,common salt surrounded with 15cm all around the plate all as specified and shown in EP-3 of SSR Part-I

Material and labour for ACSR conductor squirrel to dog (6/1/2.11 to 6/1/4.72) any size drawn straight horizontal on over head lines on existing poles including binding with insulators. Weight of conductor shall be measured straight horizontal distance between centre of two adjacent poles and calculating weight of conductor of size and length by adding 3% extra for sag ,jointing jumpers,etc complete all as specified and directed

M&L for replacement of shackle type porcelain vitreous, white, brown or green insulator for working pressure 1.1 KV of size 100mm height and 115 mm dia including galvanized mild steel straps of section 38 x5 mm size ,20 mm dia bolt nut and washers complete all as specified and directed

M&L for replacement of Pin type, porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nut, 50mm height, 65mm dia for 1.1 kv complete all as specified and directed

M&L for replacement of Loop type, porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator for 1.1KV complete all as specified and directed

Supply and replacing 1100 volts grade heavy duty PVC insulated aluminium conductor, unarmoured service cable twin core of size 10 Sqmm complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and replacing 1100 volts grade heavy duty PVC insulated aluminium conductor, unarmoured service cable twin core of size 6 Sqmm complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out the under ground PVC insulated armourned / un armoured PVC sheathed cable, laid in trenches / passing through GI tubing / on pole / on wall of any size and any type all as directed.

Re-Laying only old serviceable (cable obtained from item No 19 here-in-before after checking the fault) under ground LT XLPE/PVC cable 1100 Volt grade of any size in trenches/fixed to wall/pole/roof/laid in floor including necessary connections and suitable size of thimbling complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Excavation, earth work, brick & sand cushioning shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item).

Supply and lay including fixing and connecting electrically XLPE insulated LT underground cable, armoured heavy duty electric cable with aluminum conductor multi-stranded 1100 volts grade, laid in trench, fixed on wall/pole drawn through pipe etc including provision of lugs & testing of following sizes complete all as specified and directed. (a) 3.5 core 150 sqmm Note for item 21 to 25 : Excavation shall be measured and paid seperately. Quoted rate include of making connection to LT panel/feeder pillar box/junction box through suitable size aluminium lugs and cable glands.

Cutting the existing hard standing/ bituminous road surfaces for laying cable / GI pipe etc and providing plain cement concrete (1:4:8), type D2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregate for filling road cuttings surfaces and making good the disturbed surfaces all as specified and directed. Note : Excavation required below paving/road shall be measured and paid seperately.

Supply & replacement of existing unserviceable busbar box, installation, testing and commissioning of factory fabricated prewired bus bar, cubical type IP 65 of suitable size out door, double door, dust and vermin proof, CPRI approved made out of 50x50x6mm angle iron frame/legs and 3.15 mm thick CRCA sheet with openable shutters on both sides (front & rear), powder coated externally and internally, having locking arangement mounted on four legs 90cm high (30 cm below ground level and 60 cm above ground level),, embedded in PCC (1:2:4 ) type B2 of suitable size with clear working space all around the bus bar complete all as specified & directed by the Engr-in-Charge to accommodate the following accessories :- (a) MCCB 4 pole, 200 Amps capacity, Make : Legrand or equivalent of L&T/Schnider/Havells - 01 No (b) Copper bus bar 200 A for three phase and neutral duly insulated with sleeves of colour RYB (c ) R,Y &B Indicators - 01No each. (Note : (i) Incoming and outgoing cable shall be fixed with appropriate size of copper thimble. (ii) Apron shall be provided at bottom for protection of cable to avoid entry of vermins, reptiles.

S&F in replacement of existing unserviceable MCCB any size/capacity with MCCB 4 pole 400 Amps 36 KA Thermal magnetic setting type incl providing suitable thimbles/extended terminal with nuts, bolts and washers etc. all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of existing unserviceable MCCB any size/capacity with MCCB 4 pole 250 Amps 25 KA Thermal magnetic setting type incl providing suitable thimbles/extended terminal with nuts,bolts and washers etc. all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement of existing unserviceable MCCB any size/capacity with MCCB 4 pole 125 amps 25 KA Thermal magnetic setting type incl providing suitable thimbles/extended terminal with nuts,bolts and washers etc. all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Cutting and trimming tree branches upto 1.5m distance on both sides of LT over head lines including collection and removed to outside MD land all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
