GENERAL NOTE: 1) Debris generated from this work shall be disposed off by the contractor outside departmental premises by mechanical transport etc. without any extra cost to the department and/or as instructed by Engineer-In-Charge. During execution of work Contractor should maintain proper safety measures and provide proper insurance coverage to all work men to be engaged in this work. Contractor should quote rates accordingly. 2) Bidders must visit the site before submission of tender. 3) Above mentioned work will be executed at Rajarhat campus of VECC. Bidders are requested to quote rates accordingly. 4) Rate of each item shall include the cost of manpower, materials, tools & tackles, scaffolding etc. at all level. 5) Contractor has to be very careful so that no nuisance is created or users are not disturbed during execution of the work. Labours engaged should be well behaved/good mannered. 6) Security regulation and rules of DAE shall be strictly followed during deployment of materials and work force. The work should be done satisfying all safety aspects and insurance coverage, ESI for all workers to be involved in this job is a mandatory requirement and contractor should quote rates accordingly. PPE’S such as safety shoe, helmet with chin strap, safety belts, safety goggles, safety shoes, welding shields, gloves, vici wear etc. are compulsory for all workers. 7) Copies of challan for the materials brought inside campus shall be submitted for reference & record of the department. 8) Time schedule as mentioned in NIT shall be strictly adhered to. The work should be carried out even on extended time period if required and for that special permission has to be obtained from competent authority.
Dismantling & demolishing brick work / plain cement concrete (P.C.C.)/ reinforced cement concrete (R.C.C.) including cutting of rods, stacking of serviceable materials by chiseling at all level and location including scaffolding, disposal of unserviceable materials outside premises etc. all complete as per specification and as directed.
In brick work with or without plaster.
In Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 / 1:2:4 including mosaic at window sill, mosaic tiles at flooring and/or skirting.
In Reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 / 1:1 ½ :3 along with finishes (viz. mosaic floor/tiles etc.)
Providing labour, tools and tackles etc. for dismantling structural steelwork in built up sections in angles, tees, channels, pipes, tubes (RHS/CHS/SHS), RS joists etc. including all gusset plates, chequered plates, bolts, nuts, cutting members from the existing structures etc. including dismembering and stacking within 50 metres lead etc. all complete at all level and locations, as directed by EIC.
Providing labour, tools, tackles for removing/dismantling G.I. pipes with fittings and stacking within a distance of 100M etc. complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-In- Charge.

Providing 75mm thick flat brick soling in single layers with well burnt brick of approved manufacturer and of class designation 7.50 (classification as per IS 1077 -1992 and min. average compression strength not less than 7.50 N/ mm2) at all locations of sub base to floor and in plinth protection and below foundation laid flat to required level slopes etc. as shown including binding the interstices with approved quality sand including watering and pointing with cement mortar 1: 6 finish curing etc. complete as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Notes for Reinforced Cement Concrete: a) Cement for structural work shall be OPC/PPC ISI marked and duly approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. b) PPC/blended cement of ISI marked shall only be used for finishing works on prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge. c) All concrete work shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the drawings and specifications. d) The rates for concrete works shall be exclusive of cost of reinforcement and formwork unless otherwise mentioned. e) All coarse aggregate to be of 20mm maximum size and uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. f) Test for concrete shall be done as per IS-456:2000 and the cost of the same shall be borne by the contractor.
Providing and laying Cement Concrete in the grade as per following sub items at all level, location, conforming to IS 456-2000 using graded stone aggregate 20mm maximum size including machine mixing, conveying, placing, mechanical consolidation, finishing, dewatering if necessary curing, scaffolding etc. complete as per drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Reinforced cement concrete 1:1.5:3
Providing, erecting, fixing in position, striking / removing and cleaning steel / timber shuttering & centering for form work / making pockets for foundation bolts at all foundation level & locations as mentioned for all geometrical shapes and designs as per drawings including rails bracings, props, brackets, cutting holes for pipes etc. providing & applying approved form oil on all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete including close hacking of all exposed concrete work after removal of form work, all materials, labour etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the EIC. (Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment & stop boards for construction joints etc. will not be measured for payment)
Supplying, fitting & fixing polycarbonate sheet of approved make & brand conforming to IS: 14443-1997 and having 50 micron UV protection layer under co-extrusion technology, Fire rating being B-s1 as per EN13501-1 certification, fitted and fixed with 60mm wide aluminium channel section top and bottom member in dry-glaze sandwitch system, (unit wt. of top and bottom members: 0.375 kg/m & 0.69 kg/m) of approved brand and profile, EPDM quality rubber gaskets, anti dust tape, end closer "C" channel and 75 mm long Self tapping screw being drilled through the centre leg of the bottom section with nuts placed at 300 mm apart without anyway puncturing the polycarbonate sheet, EPDM Washer 16 mm dia & 3 mm thick washer etc. complete strictly as per manufacturers specification, fixing to tubular truss at all levels including cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants required for completion of the work, all overlaps mitering wherever necessary. G.I. anchor bolts, nuts, washers making the roof leak proof all as per manufacturer’s code of practice and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (Payment to be made on area of finished work). Structural steel work at all floors and locations in guard bars, structural platform, grills, guard bars for windows, frames, covers, cover bracket for slanting chajja, using angles, tees, flats, bars, chequered plates, inserts fabricated out of mild steel bars, channels, angles, pipes, plates and diaphram plates for expansion joints etc. at all level, location, slope of required shapes, sizes including supplying, cutting, fabricating, hoisting, welding, erecting, making holes/chases by drilling (up to 25mm dia) including providing nut bolts (up to 20mm dia) wherever required and fixing/embedding in position in concrete/brick work with necessary hold fasts/screws & raw plugs and finishing the concrete/brick work after fixing/embedding, preparing surface mechanically for removal of rust, dirt, flakes etc. including painting two coats of 1st quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and colour on all surfaces over a coat of approved red oxide zinc chromate primer, complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note : i) Samples of all structural members including steel rectangular/square sections proposed to be used for fabrication will be weighed and actual weight shall be considered for payment. Wastage will not be measured for payment which shall be included in the rate. ii) The contractor shall submit 6 copies of shop drawing showing the dimensions details of fabrication etc. for the approval of Engineer-in-Charge. iii) Approval of Engineer-in-Charge for complete details and shop drawings shall be obtained before commencement of the work. iv) Quoted rate shall include cost of all shapes and sizes including circular, semi-circular etc. of the roof system.
Painting two or more coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint of 1st quality and approved make, shade/colour on MS surface, MS/GI pipes etc. over a coat of metal red oxide zinc chromate primer, including through surface preparation by mechanical grinding, removing & cleaning of all rust, dust etc. filling up of dents, cracks with suitable putty etc. all complete at any height and level location including providing necessary scaffolding etc. all complete as directed by the EIC.
Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying steel bars of various diameters as required at site conforming to IS 1786-1985 (Latest) of work of all floors and locations including loading, unloading, transporting, de-coiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding with 18 gauge, soft drawn annealed steel binding wire, etc. including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (Cost of binding wire shall be borne by the contractor & shall not be measured for payment)

Drilling holes for inserting/installing various dia Heavy Duty anchor fastener/shear connectors to transfer designed bolt force in existing RC members at floor levels including fixing with MS base plate of various sizes and thickness to place in position, including cleaning the drilled holes of loose dust by blowing air, filling the holes with cement slurry or any other approved chemicals including false holes if any (drilling of false holes shall not be measured for payment), cost of anchor fastener/shear connector, all labours, tools, tackles and charges for testing of fasteners/ connectors as per manufacturer's recommendation etc. complete all as per drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (MS plate shall be paid under relevant item).

Note: All the plumbing fitting & fixtures are heavy quality and conforming to IS:8931-1993 or latest.
Supplying, fixing and installing strong, sturdy, durable, RO, UV Radiation & Fungus resistant, anti-slip 2 layer HDPE tank base of M/s. Victus/ Ultra Craft make under brand “Eco-base” or equivalent, having grid for better support at the back side with strong & sturdy fork up to 2.0 ton capacity, height approx. 150-165mm and 1090-1100mm dia etc. complete at any level, location and as directed by EIC.
