M&L for dressing of ground by cutting / removing vegetation, scrapping, clearing of all grass, shrubs, bushes, weeds, trees and saplings not exceeding 30cm in girth (measured at a height of 1m above the ground level) on either side of runway, taxi track, aprons and other places in techincal area by deploying jungle jims (06 feet) with tractors, operators including fuel, lubricant, etc. complete all as specified and as directed Notes: (i) 01No. jungle jim, 01No. tractor, with operators shall be measured as one unit (ii) Cut grass/bushes/vegetation, etc. shall be removed outside techinal area and or as directed (iii) Minimum 02 units of jungle jim tractor with operators shall be deployed at site. The requirement may vary as per quantum of work required (iv) Refer to BOQ Note No. 8 on serial page No. 16

M&L for taking out of old sealing compounds grade 'B' with rakers and cleaning, removing all foreign materials/particles, dust, etc. with coir brush, fine particles cleaned with air compressors from joints any type, thickness and depth of taxi tracks / runways and preparing surfaces, applying two coats of primer, providing approved quality closed cell polythene backup rod of dia 25% more than the width of joint over joint filler board in position and filling in polyurethane joint sealant compound [minimum Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) +30% conforming to BS: 5212, BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003] using mechinical means to a depth of 10mm (minimum depth above back up rod) including and applying masking tape on edges of joints to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces and to give a neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant is applied as required and removing all taken out refuse materials to a distance exceeding 100m and not exceeding 500m including all carting, etc. complete all as specified and directed for the following widths:

upto 12mm

exceeding 12mm but not exceeding 25mm

exceeding 25mm but not exceeding 35mm

Notes for item Nos. 4 to 7: (i) Work shall be got done through authorised applicators of the manufacturer approved (ii) All tests viz. Hydrolysis test / water resistance test, etc. and as required in accordance to relevant IS / BS are to be done and TCs shall be submitted (iii) The Contractor shall submit 10years guarantee on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper and also submit FDR as security, amount of which shall be attained @5% on amount of work done

M&L for repairs to cracks in existing bituminous surfaces of taxi tracks by cutting to a width of 10 to 25mm and 30 to 50mm deep by mechanical cutters, etc. cleaning with air compressor to remove all loose particle, dust, etc. and filling with epoxy tar compound as per manufacturer's instructions and disposing all rubbish/ refuse to a distance exceeding 50m but not exceeding 100m complete and all as specified and directed

M&L for repairs to damaged / broken edges of existing cement concrete slabs of taxi tracks by cutting to a depth 10 to 50mm, cleaning with air compressor to remove all loose particle, dust, etc. with air blowers, etc. and applying evenly one coat of epoxy rich primer with sealer and filling in with epoxy resin compound and disposing all rubbish/ refuse to a distance exceeding 50m but not exceeding 100m complete all as specified and as directed

Notes for item Nos. 9 & 10: (i) Work shall be got done through expert applicators in accoradnace to procedure detailed by the manufacturer and as approved (ii) The Contractor shall submit 10years guarantee on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper and also submit FDR as security, amount of which shall be attained @5% on amount of work done

M&L for preparation of old surfaces by removing all foreign materials, dust, etc. by scrapping, etc. cleaning with water spray and or air blowers, of rigid concrete / bituminous pavements of runways / taxi tracks and the like exceeding 10cm wide and painting lines, dashes, strips, circles, markings, etc. with one coat of weather proof runway marking paint in required pattern and in required tint complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for preparation of old surfaces by removing all foreign materials, dust, etc. by scrapping, etc. cleaning with water spray and or air blowers, of rigid concrete / bituminous pavements of runways / taxi tracks and the like exceeding 10cm wide and painting lines, dashes, strips, circles, markings, etc. with two coats of weather proof runway marking paint in required pattern and in required tint complete all as specified and as directed
