| 1.01(Item No 01.00 Contd--) (a) Tank Capacity & Size: Tank capacity shall be 224 KL with internal dimensions 8m × 7m × 4m (L × W × H) as shown in drawing. (b) Tank Type: Tank shall be sectional panel type constructed from SMC/GRP moulded panels. (c) Panel Sizes: Panels shall be either 1m × 1m or 1m × 0.5m as required to suit site layout and structural configuration. (d) Minimum Panel Thickness: (i). Base panels: 12 mm (ii). Wall panels: 10 mm (iii). Roof panels: 6 mm (e) Panel Material: SMC/GRP panels shall be food-grade, UV-resistant, corrosion-resistant, suitable for potable water storage. (f) Structural Support Frame: All vertical and horizontal steel supports, including base frame, shall be ISMC 175 mm, hot-dip galvanized (HDG). (g) Bracing: Provide adequate internal tie rods, cross-bracing, and stiffeners to withstand hydrostatic pressure at full load. External tie-rods of M.S 16 mm to connect HDG 'C' type side channals to be used. (h) Fasteners: All bolts, nuts and washers in contact with water shall be stainless steel (SS 304). External structural bolts shall be HDG. (j) Gaskets & Sealants: All joints between panels shall be sealed with EPDM/neoprene gaskets and food-grade sealants as recommended by manufacturer. | |||||
| 1.02(Item No 01.00 Contd--) (k) Roof Structure: Roof shall be watertight, constructed from SMC/GRP roof panels with HDG internal support beams. (l) Ladders: (i) Provide external ladder (HDG steel) from ground level to tank roof. (ii) Provide internal ladder (GRP/Aluminium Alloy) from manhole to tank bottom. (m) Manhole: Two manhole of 700 x 700 mm with HDG frame should be provided on the roof of tank with double lip construction and proper locking arrangement (n) Pipe Connections: Provide flanged inlet, outlet, overflow, drain and air vent with mosquito mesh connections with reinforcement pads as per manufacturer standards including pipes as required at site. (o) Foundation: The panel tanks shall be mounted on the ' C ' Type HDG channel (ISMC-Indian Steel Metal Channal) base to be part of the supply. Tank shall be installed on level RCC foundation (foundation work excluded). (p) Earthing: Provide earthing for tank structural frame as per electrical safety standards. (q) Leakage Testing: Tank shall be filled to full height and tested for water-tightness for minimum 48 hours prior to acceptance. (r) Water level Indicator: Level indicator (external) with Alluminium frame along with necessary brass flote valve accessories Note:- (i) Contractor to verify all dimensions at site before installation and report discrepancies to Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) General Arrangement Drawing, Grilling Details and Associated Reference Drawings are attached for guidance and shall be followed as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. | |||||
