Dismantling the spring charging mechanism of the VCB, checking the entire mechanism for any worn/ crack/ bent/ block/ loose parts etc. for the following :- (i) Checking the condition of the spring charging motor along with gear box including servicing the motor & replacement of motor bearings if required. (ii) Checking/ servicing of ratchet wheel assembly, driving and charging parts.

(iii) Checking the auxiliary switch, its contacts for proper functional operation. (iv) Checking & servicing of raising/ lowering mechanism and its locking system for proper functioning. (v) Checking & servicing of shutter assembly for its automatic opening/ closing.

Note:- The items like nuts, bolts, spring washers, petroleum jelly, CTC etc required to put the breaker in serviceable condition shall be supplied by the contractor and rate shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

M&L for de-carbonising/ cleaning of 11 KV cubicle type VCB panels consisting of bus bar and circuit chamber, metering chamber, CTs, PTs and relay chamber all as specified below :- (i) Checking the bus bar and circuit spouts, cleaning with CTC and applying bectrol red varnish to the surface of the bus bar and circuit spouts. (ii) Checking the CTs/ PTs for any arcing/ tracks, cleaning and applying one coat of varnish.

(iii) Cleaning of metering and relay chamber, checking/ replacement of burnt wires if any, tightening of all connections to arrest the loose contacts. (iv) Applying mono-plast compound at bus bar joints after tightening all joints/ connections.

M&L for Disconnecting IED of any type and Make from 11 KV HT panel, cleaning the contacts , IED configuration , Calibration & Testing of all the measuring & protection devices viz., CTs, Relays and Meters at site. Testing of all the trip functions of the relays after final current settings by simulating fault current by CT secondary injection test set , checking of current transformer , rectification of defects in control wiring for proper tripping of CB during actual system fault conduction through relay & Tripping coil. Adjustment / setting to plug and time multiplier settings of IED to achieve the discrimination in tripping , tune / synchronies upstream breaker relay settings-installation of relay, testing & commissioning etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Adjust breaker operating mechanism all as per manufacturer's instructional manual . Replace if there is excessive wear and tear. f) Checking / inspecting shunt trip coil for serviceability and replacing the same if required. g) Replacing the badly worn or burned contacts. Checking control device free for operation. h) Check after servicing the circuit breaker to verify the contacts move to the fully opened and fully closed positions, that there is an absence of friction and that the electrical operation is functional. M & L for re-winding of HT 11/0.433 KV distribution transformer of capacity 200 ~ 750 KVA of any make by opening the Transformer core, HV windings, Insulating strips safely, inspecting the damaged winding , and re-winding the HV winding with new copper wires of same guage with new DPC insulation to the copper conductor , heating the core chamber to a suitable operating temperature etc as directed by Engr-in-charge, and assembling the cores, windings etc in the transformer completely all complete as specified.

M & L for re-winding of HT 11/0.433 KV distribution transformer of capacity 200 ~ 750 KVA of any make by opening the Transformer core, LV windings, Insulating strips safely, inspecting the damaged winding , and re-winding the LV winding with new copper wires of same guage with new DPC insulation to the copper conductor , heating the core chamber to a suitable operating temperature etc as directed by Engr-in-charge, and assembling the cores, windings etc in the transformer completely all complete as specified.

Supply and replace silica Gel into breather of transformers complete all as directed

M & L for shifting Transformer of capacity 200 KVA ~ 750KVA from its position at any substation at INHS Kalyani under AGE EM -I using cranes after disconnecting all the cables from HV/LV sides, securing the cable ends properly by insulating covering material, detaching all the earthing connections, transporting it to workshop for repair and transporting it back to the substation at INHS Kalyani and re-instating the transformer including all the cable connection, earthing connection , after doing insulation resistance test and restoring the electric supply as before all complete as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing old painted transformer surface with coarse cloth / wire brush, and spray painting transformer surface with synthetic enamel paint of smoke grey colour to a smooth finish appearance after applying one coat of zinc oxide primer for transformer capacity of 200 ~ 750 KVA complete all as specified and directed

Supply and laying un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HVP, type 1 with peak, size 300mm x 180mm x 40mm HV class with 'ELECTRIC' embossed on the top side in trenches along the electric cable as protection all complete as specified and directed.

Cutting the tarmac / hard standings to a width of 20cm and depth of 30cm and excavating in trenches across the road for laying cable including making good the excavated portion by means of PCC 1:3:6, type C1 matching with the surroundings complete all as specified and directed.
