Manning and operation of water supply installation at Karcham, round the clock (24 hrs) in 3 shifts, each shift of 08 hrs daily (including Sunday and gazetted holidays) by employing one operator in each shift complete all as specified and directed. The installation comprises of the following items:- (a) Sedimentation water tank cap 5000 Ltr- 02 Nos, (b) Filtration bed cap 10000 Glns - 02 Nos, (c) Clear water tank cap 20000 Ltr- 02 Nos, (d) Intake water pipe and presedimentation tanks, (e) Chlorination plant - 01 No & (f) Monoblock Pumpset 5 HP/3 HP - 03 Nos 2. Notes : Unit rate quoted for these items deemed to be included for the following works :- 2.01 Checking of gate valves, sluice valves and pipe lines for any leakage and replacement of minor defective parts such as gland packing, nut, bolt, washer etc and sundries in respect of areas Karcham. Rate quoted are deemed to be included under this item for above materials required for carrying out minor repair to prevent leakeages. (2.02) Carrying out Water supply pipe line minor repairs such as tightining of sockets, union sockets,gland caps, nut, bolt, washer and sundries for the GI/HDPE/CI/DI distribution pipe line, slucie valve, gate valve, float valve and chlorination system of respective Military Station areas of Karcham. Rate quoted are deemed to be included under this item for above materials required for carrying out minor repair to prevent leakeages. (2.03) Checking of raw water source at Nala Main tapping point for smooth flow of raw water from source to the raw water tank in respect of areas Karcham. (2.04) Mixing of Alum/bleaching powder/Sodium hypochlorite/Altoch-GP with raw water/ clear water including maintaining the correct proportion all as directed. (2.05) Routine Maintenance & cleaning of plants and equipments and cleaning of inlet chamber and pre-sedimentation tanks will be carried out by the manpower employed. (2.06) Tradesman deployed by the contractor shall have ITI passed in respective trade with 02 years of experience in the respective trade or 10th pass having 05 years of experience in the respective trade. (2.07) Workman employed by the contractor will not work continously for 7 days. The employ worked for six days continously should be given one day off with payment as per contract labour act as referred in condition 58 of IAFW-2249 and contractor shall provide suitable replacement as approved for the same. The rate quoted is deemed to be included for this provisions. (2.08) Attendance register to monitor the arrival and departure of tradesmen shall be maintained by JE- in-charge and signed by the Engineer-in-Charge and contractor or his authorized rep on daily basis. In case of absent of any workman, a recovery of double the prevailing wages along with ESI, EPF, bonus etc as applicable for per shift per day shall be recovered from the contactor's dues. (2.09) The contractor will submit the name of all the deployed tradesman / workers alongwith their qualification, experience certificates and other necessary documents as mentioned in PS within the Ten (10) days from the date of Acceptance of tender irrespective of date of commencement of work. If, contractor fails to submit complete document, a penal recovery of Rs 5000.00 (Five Thousand only) per shift will be recovered from the Contractors dues from date of commencement of work. (2.10) Rate quoted are deemed to be inclusive of necessary minor materials such as screws, rawl plug , gutties, Electric tape, thimbles etc. (2.11) Contractor shall provide necessary working tools to his workman for repair work. (2.12) Contractor shall provide uniform to the work men deployed for wearing during the working hours. The necessary safety equipments such as hand gloves safety belts, shoes, Halmets etc. The unit rate is deemed to be included for all those provisions specified. 2.13 The manpower employed will keep the installation and surroundings neat and clean including cutting down bushes & grass etc. 2.14 The rate quoted is deemed to include to be inclusive of providing mobile communication facility to the man power employed, so that feed back can be obtained immediately as required. 2.15 The contractor shall be responsible to have insurance of workers who are working under this contract. The policy to ensure the life benefits shall be made for the workers who are working with the responsible works. The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include the same and no extra payment shall be admissible on this account.
