CONTRACT NO- KBE-05- Supply and Installation Works (Including Fabrication) of Signage and Graphics for Ten Elevated Metro Stations of Phase II of Kochi Metro Rail Project

Suspended sign, Illuminated, 2 sided

Providing and fixing illuminated signs including all operations from fabrication to installation all complete as per relevant drawings(attached), technical specifications, signage schedule and to the satisfaction of the Architect in charge. Sign box: The sign box 100mm deep shall be fabricated out of 10mm thick Aluminium extrusion channel (100X10mm custom made extrusion) with 4 curved edges as per the drawing. The frame work is to be completed with internally blind revetting and brackets. Complete sign box is to be powder coated in RAL 9005. Illuminated surface (Pictogram & text panel): Providing and fixing of backlit sign panel on both side of sign box with 8mm thick translucent white acrylic as per specification and Vinyl shall be applied on the entire surface of this acrylic. The portion containing the pictograms shall plotter cut block out vinyl pictograms as per specification applied above the Pantone 123 vinyl and the remaining portion shall have plotter cut blockout self adhesive vinyl RAL Process Black as per specification applied on the acrylic to produce the desired bilingual text content. Illumination: Providing and fixing the LED modules for proper illumination. Please see ''Technical specification'' for LED specification. Above description generally holds good for the following signage unless otherwise specified except due modifications with special mention. Accessories: Providing and fixing all accessories such as nut-inserts, screws, rivets, bolts, washers, nuts, etc. complete as per drawing. Sign fixing-Suspended: Sign box shall be fixed to the indicated surface (ceiling) using 8mm dia anchor fastners of specified make duly approved by the Architect in charge.

Fixing Suspended Signages using suspendors Providing and fixing suspended signage using 40 mm dia NB, 3.6 mm thick MS hollow circular sections, cut, fabricated, and finished in PU paint (RAL 9005) as approved.Suspenders shall be made to required lengths after site verification to ensure proper alignment and leveling. Measurement shall be based on the total length of two suspenders per sign. Rate includes 2 nos. of 1 m long suspenders per sign. Suspenders shall be fixed to the overhead concrete beams/slabs/truss members/the MS cable tray support (steel truss member) using 6 mm thick MS plates with suitable bolting/clamping arrangements, ensuring rigid and vibration-free fixing without damaging the support system. Connections shall use M8 bolts, lock nuts, and washers as specified. Scope includes all false ceiling cutting, opening, reinstatement, and making good after installation. Also includes MS cover plate to cover the bolts for aesthetical look and perfection with 20 mm flange in 2 mm thick CRCA sheet, powder-coated in RAL 9005, as approved. Complete in all respects as per drawings and instructions of Architect-in-Charge.
