REPAIR/ RESURFACING TO INTERNAL ROADS, SIDE BERM, KERB STONES, ROAD FURNITURE ETC IN ZONE B UNDER GE (I) NAVY JAMNAGAR

M&L for preparing surface and filling Moorum / red bajri in road side berms or paving and similar works, laid in thickness not exc 15 cm, spread, levelled and rammed to required gradient and camber including watering complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Measurement shall be taken after compaction.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally clean the surface with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc & applying evenly a priming/ tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-30 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism complete all as specified & as directed.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note: For design purpose minimum binder content shall be as described i.e. 4% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not be less than the binder content as described under any circumstances. During design stage if binder content exceeds 4% in that case no extra payment shall be entertained to contractor for excess use of binder. Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by GE.

Scarifying or picking graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm and not exc 50 mm deep for repairing road cuts & broken edges of road complete all as specified & directed

M&L for 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt stone of grading 2 (63 mm to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size), blinded with screening of hard stone of grading ‘A’, spread, watered and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, hollows made up to form true surface and consolidated to required gradient and camber etc, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing newly laid un-surfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dust/dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-30 at the rate of 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) For design purpose minimum binder content shall be as described i.e. 5.5% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not be less than the binder content as described under any circumstances. During design stage if binder content exceeds 5.5% in that case no extra payment shall be entertained to contractor for excess use of binder. (ii) Job mix formula shall be approved by GE.

M&L for preparation of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc.and finally clean the surface with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and providing and laying Asphalt Painting of existing bitumenous surface with grade VG-30 @ 7.5 Kg per 10 Sqm by mechanical sprayer and spreading the stone dust on prepared surface @ 0.03 Cum per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for repair to pot holes of any depth, not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 30mm in depth (depth of potholes exc 30mm), making good by applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-30 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 2mm thick road marking like centre line, dashes, arrow, Number, speed breakers and similar work on new or previously treated road surfaces White/ Yellow colour as per IRC pattern with thermo plastic road marking paint of approved quality and mixed with 8% glass beads laid at 160 degree celceus with special application machine complete all as specified as per manufacturer's instructions and traffic diversion aggreement and all as directed. Note : Paint material shall be of make Shivalik, Ashian, Jayanti Construction Chemicals, Automark, etc as per IS:164 Grade-I as approved by GE.

S&F Road stud (Cat Eye) as per IRC-67 aluminium alloy die cast dynamically designed very high impact strength and fitted with 2 Nos. highly reflective reflactors & 2 Nos. eye ball each on both side including adhesive solution on the pavement complete all as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken road stud of any type. Note :- Road Stud shall be of Model “DA 971’ of make ‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez / Sinor Infrastructure as approved by GE.

S&F road safety Convex Mirror circular of size 1000mm dia made of one piece polycarbonate lens with hood for road turning, intersection, curves, ‘T’ junction, etc, unbreakable & strong, mounted on & including 2.50 metre long vertical pole made out of 80mm bore mild steel medium grade pipe duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer, fixed with adjustable clamp, pole fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 450mmx450mmx600mm deep including necessary excavation, RFR & removal in any type of soil, complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling of old unserviceable / broken mirror with pole of any type & size. Make – 3M / Dark Eye / Greenlite / TATA / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez / ABS Engineering / Cats eye as approved by GE. Notes : (i) A mild steel base plate of size 250mm x 250mm x 3mm shall be welded at bottom of pole.
