GE I R AND D/CHD-113/2024-25 SUPPLEMENTARY REPAIR AND MAINT OF LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM AND EARTHING ALONGWITH CONNECTED ITEMS AT CHANDIGARH AND RAMGARH

Dismantling and taking down dislocated / de-shaped/loose earth continuity conductor or strip of or roof conductor in any position, any size complete including removal from work site or refixed at site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing for new aluminium strip 25 x 3.15 mm size as in roof / down conductor fixed with the help of porcelain insulator saddles and screws on roof/ wall complete all as specified and directed. Note :- 1. The distance between porcelain insulator will not be more than 60 cm. 2. The quoted rates shall be deemed to include cost of porcelain insulators ,T&P and labour required to work on roof top at lateral faces of bldgs.

Refixing aluminium / GI / Copper strip of any size retrieved from item no. 1.00 above using new porcelain insulators, fixing screws, nuts / bolts / washers of the joints of the strip complete including cleaning / scratching the dust complete all as specified and directed Note :- 1. The distance between porcelain insulator will not be more than 60 cm. 2. The quoted rates shall be deemed to include cost of porcelain insulators, T&P and labour required to work on roof top at lateral faces of existing Bldgs.

Material and labour for air-termination, vertical type, single pointed rod made of 12 mm dia 300 mm long aluminium rod including necessary fixing arrangement with bolt, nuts and washers etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for GI tubing 20 mm bore light grade ISI marked 1.5 m long fixed vertically on roof top, duly embedded in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 block of size 30cm x 30cm x 30 cm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for GI tubing 40 mm bore light grade ISI marked 1.5 m long fixed vertically on roof top duly embedded in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 block of size 30cm x 30cm x 30 cm complete all as specified and directed

Supply and fixing for GI pipe light grade of size 40 mm dia with all fittings laid in trenches/ floors (or) fixed to walls for protection of copper/GI/aluminium strips complete all as specified and directed .

Supply and fixing for copper strip of size 20 x 3.15 mm buried in ground/fixed on wall complete with porcelain insulators, fixing screws, nuts, bolts and washers etc complete all as specified and directed .

Supply and fixing for GI strip of size 25x4 mm buried in ground/fixed on wall complete with porcelain insulator, fixing screws, nuts, bolts and washers etc complete all as specified and directed .

Material and labour in replacement for test point terminal block insulated from wall or external surface made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screws complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in replacement plain cement concrete block in 1:3:6, C1, on roof top comprising of required size at places were directed & laying, clamping the strip of any size securely on the block with suitable size GI bolt duly grouted, nut bolt washer etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in replacement earthing pit chamber including replacement of cement concrete chamber of PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate the chamber shall be constructed one metre away from edge of earth pit with 50mm thick precast cover of cement concrete(1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate and MS angle iron 50x50x6mm frame including two coats of synthetic enamel painting over a coat of red oxide to exposed steel surfaces with suitable handle of 8 mm rod to lift the cover complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for chemical earthing using outer & inner pipe of copper as earthing electrodes and hydroscopic jelly back fill for good conductivity complete all as directed (Dia of outer pipe shall be 65 mm, dia of inner pipe shall be 40 mm, length shall be 3 m, thickness of both pipes shall be 2.1 mm and made of minimum 95% copper metal) including copper earth strip of size not less than 25x3 mm earth electrode to test point by means of brazing, bolts, nuts washer and check nut of brass, connected with in and including test point of bronze and 40mm GI pipe upto 7.5 m with copper testing point complete with PCC earth pit and 50 mm thick RCC pit cover using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate with TMT reinforcement bar 8 mm dia @ 150 mm centre to centre both ways, MS handle 10 mm dia made to shape with 50 x 50 x 6 mm angle iron frame duly painted, earth work in any type of soil connected to earthing test point and testing complete all as specified and directed.

Earthing completes all shown as electrical plate no -05 of MES Sch part -I as specified with testing and as directed including the following. (i) Copper earth plate of size 600mm x 600mm x 3.0 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 m below ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.50 m below ground level. (ii) Earth plate surrounded by and packed with charcoal and common salt in alternative layers ( n.exc 15 cms each layer).(iii) 20mmx3mm copper strip from earth plate to test point by means of brazing, bolts, nut washers and check nut of brass and connected with test point of bronze all as directed.(iv) 20mm bore, medium grade, GI pipe for watering including GI funnel and wire mesh. Pipe shall be provided vertically upto top level of earth pit and then taken horizontally to the earth pit. (v) 40 mm dia bore G. I. light grade pipe for protection of copper strip. (vi) Cement concrete chamber of PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate. The chamber shall be constructed one metre away from edge of earth pit. (vii) 50mm thick precast cover of cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate and MS angle iron 50x50x6mm frame including two coats of synthetic enamel painting over a coat of red oxide to exposed steel surfaces with suitable handle to lift the cover. (viii) Excavation in soft/loose soil, returning filling & removal of surplus soil to a distance of 50m complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Copper strip 20x3 mm at 7.5 m included in quoted rates

Earthing complete all shown as electrical plate no -03 of MES Sch part -I as specified with testing and directed including the following. (i) Galvanised steel earth plate of size 600mmx600mmx6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 m below ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.50 metres below ground level. (ii) Earth plate surrounded by and packed with charcoal and common salt in alternative layers ( n.exc 15 cms each layer). (iii) 25mmx4mm G I strip from earth plate to test point including necessary GI bolts, nuts, check nut, washers & thimbles etc. (iv) 20mm bore, medium grade, GI pipe for watering including GI funnel and wire mesh. Pipe shall be provided vertically upto top level of earth pit and then taken horizontally to the earth pit. (v) 40 mm dia bore G. I. light grade pipe for protection of GI strip. (vi) Cement concrete chamber of PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate. The chamber shall be constructed one metre away from edge of earth pit. (vii) 50mm thick precast cover of cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate and MS angle iron 50mmx50mmx6mm frame including two coats of synthetic enamel painting over a coat of red oxide to exposed steel surfaces with suitable handle to lift the cover. (viii) Excavation in soft/loose soil, returning filling & removal of surplus soil to a distance of 50m complete all as specified and directed. Note :- GI strip 25mmx4mm beyond 7.5 m shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of Sch 'A'.

Supply and fixing for earth pit name plate/sign board / display board of 4 mm thick composite sheet of size 200 mm x 200 mm with UV laminated heavy type sticker, rewritable, waterproof anti fading, multi colour (green, blue & white) incl stand of MS square 20 mm x 20 mm and 1.2 mm thickness with length not less 0.5 m incl complete description of earthing i.e. Earthing Pit No., Connected to, tested date, ohmic value, due date etc. mentioned on the plate complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Earth work and PCC work for fixing are incl in quoted rates. (ii) Size, colour and description of words are as per approval of Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repairs FLP - WP well glass fitting suitable for 100 watt LED, CMRI certified recommended for gas/ vapor group of IIA & IIIB, IP 65 protection duly wired complete with necessary fixing arrangement and electric connection three core flexible copper conductor cable with suitable size and testing complete all as specified and directed.
