APPENDIX I – CIVIL WORKS

Earth work in surface excavation in all kinds of soil not exceeding 30 cm in depth but exceeding 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan including getting out and disposal of excavated earth upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as per the directions of Project Manager:

Providing and laying in position cement concrete 1:4:8 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand(zone-III) : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size), with minimum cement content of 170 kg/m3 including conveyance charges, cost of materials, labour,POL , hire charges of machinery, curing, sundry expenses etc. complete excluding the cost of centering and shuttering as per the directions of Project Manager - All work up to plinth level, for levelling course of foundation and flooring.

Random rubble masonry with hard stone in foundation and plinth with Cement Mortar 1:6. as per specification including conveyance charges, cost of materials, labour, and sundry expenses etc complete as per the directions of Project Manager.

Solid concrete block work with C:M 1:6 with solid concrete block of 30cmx20cmx15cm or nearest size as per specification including conveyance charges, cost of materials, labour, and sundry expenses etc complete as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:1½:3 (1 cement: 1½ coarse sand (zone-III) : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) with minimum cement content of 400kg/m3 including conveyance charges, cost of materials, labour,POL , hire charges of machinery, curing, sundry expenses etc. complete excluding the cost of centering and shuttering as per the directions of Project Manager - All work up to plinth level for flooring.

Providing and fixing powder coated aluminium (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron) work for frames of doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. including necessary filling material Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / paneling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and fixing powder coated aluminium (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron) work for shutters of doors, windows & ventilators including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket required etc. complete as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and fixing float glass panes of 5.5 mm thickness in aluminium door, window and ventilator shutters with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per the architectural drawings and as per the directions of the Project Manager.

Providing and fixing 12 mm thick prelaminated particle board flat pressed three layer or graded woodparticle board conforming to IS: 12823 Grade I Type II, in panelling fixed in aluminum doors, windows shutters and partition frames with C.P. brass / stainless steel screws etc. complete as per architectural drawings and as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and fixing aluminium hanging floor door stopper, ISI marked, anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS: 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour and shade, with necessary screws etc. complete as per the directions of the Project Manager .

Providing and fixing aluminium casement windows fastener of required length for aluminium windows with necessary screws etc. complete as per the directions of Project Manager .

Providing and fixing factory-made uPVC door frame made of uPVC extruded sections having an overall dimension as below (tolerance ±1mm), with wall thickness 2.0 mm (± 0.2 mm), corners of the door frame to be Jointed with galvanized brackets and stainless steel screws, joints mitred and plastic welded. The hinge side vertical of the frames reinforced by galvanized M.S. tube of size 19 X 19 mm and 1 mm (± 0.1 mm) wall thickness and 3 nos. stainless steel hinges fixed to the frame complete as per manufacturer's specification and direction of Project Manger.

25 mm thick PVC flush door shutters made out of a one piece Multi chamber extruded PVC section of the size of 762mm X 25 mm or less as per requirement with an average wall thickness of 1 mm (± 0.3 mm). PVC foam end cap of size 23x10 mm are provided on both vertical edges to ensure the overall thickness of 25 mm. An M.S. tube having dimensions 19 mm x 19 mm and 1.0 mm (± 0.1 mm) is inserted along the hinge side of the door. Core of the door shutter should be filled with High Density Polyurethane foam. The Top & Bottom edges of the shutter are covered with an end-cap of the size 25 mm X 11 mm. Door shutter shall be reinforced with special polymeric reinforcements as per manufacturer’s specification and direction of Project Manager to take up necessary hardware and fixtures. Providing and laying Vitrified floor tiles conforming to I.S. 15622, of approved make, in all colours & shades for flooring and skirting over a bed of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand), including grouting the joint with white cement & matching pigments etc. complete as per the direction of Project Manager.

Flooring with ceramic semi matt floor tiles of 1st quality of approved make, in all colours and shades in toilets over a bed of cement mortar 1:4 20mm thick and filling the joints with white cement and matching pigment including all charges for labour ,materials ,curing etc all complete as specified and as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and fixing 1st quality ceramic glazed wall tiles conforming to IS : 15622 (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), of approved make, in all colours, shades except burgundy, bottle green, black of any size as approved by Project Manager, in skirting, risers of steps and dados, over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg per sqm, including pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade complete as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and laying factory made chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver blocks in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc, of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of sand, compacting and proper embedding/laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand complete as per directions of Project Manager.

Constructing soak pit 1.20x1.20x1.20 m filled with brickbats including S.W. drain pipe 100 mm diameter and 1.20 m long complete as per standard design and as per the directions of Project Manager.

Providing and fixing M.S. fan clamp type I or II of 16 mm dia M.S. bar, bent to shape with hooked ends in R.C.C. slabs or beams during laying, including painting the exposed portion of loop, all as per standard design complete as per the directions of Project Manager.

Supplying and fixing rolling shutters of approved make, made of required size M.S. laths, interlocked together through their entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks, mounted on pecially designed pipe shaft with brackets,side guides and arrangements for inside and outside locking with push and pull operation complete, including the cost of providing and fixing necessary 27.5 cm long wire springs manufactured from high tensile steel wire of adequate strength conforming to IS: 4454 - part 1 and M.S. top cover of required thickness for rolling shutters as per the directions of Project Manager.

APPENDIX II - WATER SUPPLY & SANITARY ARRANGEMENTS

Providing and fixing on wall face 110mm unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes (6kgf/cm2) conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion as per the directions of Project Manager

Providing and fixing 25mm nominal outer diameter Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes, having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply, including all CPVC plain & brass threaded fittings, including fixing the pipe with clamps at 1.00 m spacing. This includes jointing of pipes & fittings with one step CPVC solvent cement and the cost of cutting chases and making good the same including testing of joints complete as per direction of Project Manager for Concealed work.

Providing and fixing 32mm nominal outer diameter Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes, having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply, including all CPVC plain & brass threaded fittings, including fixing the pipe with clamps at 1.00 m spacing. Providing and fixing metering cubicle with 60 A TP & N disconnector fuse switch unit inside the cubicle panel board, Three Phase Energy Meter, Fabrication, Supply & Installation of dust and vermin proof , wall/floor mounting metering cubicle of cubicle construction made from 1.60mm CRCA sheet, providing necessary supports made from the same gauge CRCA sheet to fix KSEB meters, fuse units, CT etc, hinged door construction for the front side with compartments if necessary, providing vision panels for the metering compartment, knock out for cable entry and exit, painting the entire board with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of zinc chromate primer etc as required including fixing it on wall, making good damages colour washing etc, as required.

Supplying and drawing 2 pair 0.5 mm dia FRLS PVC insulated annealed copper conductor, unarmored telephone cable in the existing surface/ recessed steel/ PVC conduit as required

Supplying and fixing telephone socket outlet on the existing modular plate & switch box including connections but excluding modular plate etc. as required.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of compact fluorescent light fittings with luminares of 2 x 18 W modular fittings. (surface mounted mirror optic luminary) Make: HAVELLS Model: LHCCN 2218425 / WIPRO WVP 41218) or equivalent.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ceiling fan, including wiring the down rods of standard length (upto 30 cm) with 1.5 sq.mm FRLS PVC insulated, copper conductor, single core cable etc as required.

Supply of exhaust fan upto 450mm sweep in the existing opening, including making good the damage, connection, testing, commissioning etc. as required. (havells or CG make)

Supply & installation of 1200 mm sweep ceiling fans, capacitor type complete with 300 mm down rod, canopies, shackle, rubber bush, blades and electronic stepped type speed regulator suitable for operation of 230V, 50 HZ single phase AC supply conforming to IS - 374 completely prewired upto terminal block. Installation of ceiling fans of all sizes having standard down rod with all materials required for installation complete with necessary interconnections, earthing. (havells or CG make).

APPENDIX IV – Providing trussed roof above spillway gate hoisting platform of Idamalayar dam

Fabricating, supplying and installing steel roof truss, purlins etc. using square /rectangular hollow tubes etc.as detailed in the technical specification and drawings including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position by welding and bolted with special shaped washers at all elevation including cost of materials, labour charges, welding charges, sealing of tubes etc.complete as per the direction of Engineer in charge but excluding priming and painting charges.

Supplying and fixing Medium GI pipe 100mm nominal bore (12.2 kg/m or nearest) conforming to IS specification laying to lines and for supporting roof at all elevation as per drawing and specifications including cost of materials, labour, fixing charges of pipe with base plate, welding charges etc. complete as per the direction of Engineer in charge but excluding priming and painting charges.

Roofing with GI trafford profile sheet((of 0.63 mm thick or nearest available thickness with zinc coating (not less than 275gm/cm2)) including vertical / curved surface and ridges or hips of width 60 cm overall with colour coated plain GI sheet of 0.63 mm thick, fixed with polymer coated J or L hooks, bolts and nuts 8 mm diameter with bitumen and G.I. limpet washers or with G.I. limpet washers filled with white lead, including a coat of approved steel primer and two coats of approved paint on overlapping of sheets complete (up to any pitch in horizontal/ vertical or curved surfaces), excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including cutting to size and shape wherever required,scaffolding and sundry expenses etc complete as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Providing foundation blocks of 35x35x40cm size (1:2:4 using aggregate of 20 mm nominal size) and supplying and fixing MS plate of size 200 x 200 x 10 mm as base plate with required holes, 4 Nos chemical anchors of 25 mm dia and suitable length (100 mm embedded in concrete) etc. complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer in charge, including conveyance charges, cost of materials, labour etc complete.

Painting roof structure with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) applied as per manufacturer's specifications over a priming coat of epoxy primer including preparation of surface etc. complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.
