REPAIR TO CERTAIN ROADS INCLUDING PAINTING AND FURNITURE AT KOTDWARA UNDER AGE I LANSDOWNE

Repair to potholes any depth not exc 1 sqm each incl sweeping free from dust and mud or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads paths etc cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed with 8 to 10 tonne roller and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed with 8 to 10 tonne roller (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exc 50 mm and n exc 100 mm deep in area exc 400 sqm and removing n exc 50 metres complete all as directed.

M&L for Preparation existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a primer/tack coat with paving bitumen grade VG-30 @ 5Kg/10sqm complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for providing bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, 30 mm consolidated thickness using Viscosity Grade Bitumen VG-30, rolled to required camber, gradient and super elevation with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, mixed in hot mix plant and spread with mechanical paver, complete all as specified and directed. (Notes : (i) The mix design shall be got done from approved lab and got approved from GE before commencement of work. (ii) In the event of variation in the mix design in the percentage of binder content on minus side, the difference in quantity of binder content will be adjusted through supply only rate at market rate or procurment rate whichever is more for paving bitumen VG-30. However no plus adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used/approved in the execution of work under this item.

M&L for preparation of road surfaces and applying thermoplastic reflective paint for marking of minimum 2.5mm thick single coat as in centre line and edge line, zebra crossing, stop lines etc., road marking of 150/100mm width using 'HOT MARK' thermoplastic paint (Hot application) white or yellow by indigenous modern propelled road marking machine as directed including all ingredients such as blinder, glass beads, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, inter fillers etc, thermoplastic requirement for glass beads shall be conforming to BS- 6086 of MORTH specification including spraying of glass beads @ 300 Gms/Sqm etc all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed.
