Dismantling and opening of parts for servicing of water cooled DG set of following capacity coupled with alternator, Maintenance and servicing mechanically and electrically, including cleaning, oiling /greasing, removing & replacement of defective / unserviceable parts with new parts,ie diesel filter /oil filter /Air filter /fan belt /fuel pipe/ engine oil pipe /Engine Oil etc as required at site and manufacturer's instructions and checking of valves & nozzles etc, reassembling the parts of DG set at position ensuring proper alignment connecting to existing system and making DG set perfectly operational and testing at site connected load to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge complete all as specified and directed. (including mentioned in Srl No. 1.01 here in below)

Notes:-(i) The quoted rates of the contractor includes for fixing the serviceable parts in position and replacement of unserviceable parts with new parts. The new replaced parts shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Sch `A’ as `supply only ‘ but quoted rates are inclusive of replacement of small/minor parts such as nuts, bolts, washers, locking nuts, small springs, `O’ rings, screws/gaskets/ packing /studs etc. (ii) Engine oil shall be drained out carefully, collected by the contractor in his own suitable containers and stored properly for checking serviceability including cleaning of oil sump by pouring kerosene oil all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (iii) Fresh engine oil for DG sets shall be supplied by the contractor as “ Supply only” and shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate item of Sch ‘A’ . Its cost of filling is deemed to be included under the rates quoted by the contractor for above item.

M & L for Cleaning of MS fuel tank of DG sets of 100 to 300 ltr capacity by collecting the fuel in cleaned barrels and removing sludge deposited/accumulated inside the tank of and disposal of sludge at a distance not exceeding 100 metre and cleaning the tank with kerosene oil , replacement of fuel tank strainer and unserviceable fuel gauge with new PVC fuel level indicator fixed with clips to the tank and marking levels for every 10 litre by marking and numbering on the side of fuel tank with synthetic enameled paint and refilling the collected fuel after filtration complete all as specified and directed.

Refilling, heating and filteration shall be included in the rate quoted by the contractor for above items. (iii) Fresh oil required for top up shall be measured as “supply only” but its heating and filling shall be included in the rate quoted by the contractor for above items. Supply and replace of defective existing battery lead (Heavy duty) PVC insulated copper conductor single core multi stranded minimum 25 Sqmm one side fixed with clamp and other side fixed with brass battery terminal of heavy duty for 3 Mtr length (Set of two)

Surface dressing in soft/ loose soil, n. exe. 15 Cm deep including removal of material exe 50 Rm complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs for unserviceable MS sheet of suitable thickness for DG sets/ panel boards and similar works, cut to size / shape, hole punched, including round headed screws, clout nails or rivets, bending and welding as necessary, etc.conforming to Fe.290.Gde-E-165, with and including applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer with lap of 40 mm joints complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches in any type of soil not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and not exceeding 1.5 mtr width and getting out soil including forming bottom surface to required slope/gradient for laying cables/pipes etc. including removing cable protection covers/ bricks complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (i) Excavation shall be made carefully in order to avoid damage of existing cables and brick protection. (ii) The excavation work may be carried out in short lengths for locating fault in under ground cables at different locations

M&L for Returning, filling in, including spreading leveling, watering and well ramming the excavated soil in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Removal of surplus excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 Mtr distance and depositing as directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for sand filling with clean dry fine sand unwashed including gently punning around cables in trenches/ducts for cable protection complete all as specified and directed .

M&L for old size sub class `B` bricks, kiln burnt, as in UG cable protection laid flat with axis of brick perpendicular to the axis of the cable complete all as specified and directed .

Supplying and fixing in replacement of MS pipe, 50 mm bore, medium grade as in sleeving etc laid in trenches or ducts etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Disconnecting and taking out old existing unserviceable/ non- functional LT Cable and Supplying, laying, jointing and testing cable XLPE insulated IS 7098 (Part-I)-1988 marked, screened, PVC sheathed, armoured electric power cable (heavy duty) with aluminum conductor for working voltage upto and including 1100 Volts, cross sectional area of under mentioned size of cables laid in trenches/fixed on pole/wall / passed through pipe complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge :- Make:Havells/CCI/ICL/GLOSTER/Incab/Nicco/Polycab/Plaza) (NOTE: Earth work, sand cushioning, pipe, clamps for holding cables and brick protection shall be measured and paid separately )
