REPAIRS AND RESURFACING OF ROAD AND ROAD FURNITURE UNDER AGE BR I OF GE ND VISAKHAPATNAM

M & L for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces of area not exceeding 400 Sq.m and not exceeding 50 mm depth including include raking over and grading the broken up surfaces to the proper camber etc. and removing the debris to a distance not exceeding 50 m and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 KG per 10 Sq.m of paving bitumen of Grade VG – 10 complete all as specified.

M & L for 100 mm thick [compacted thickness] Water Bound Macadam with coarse aggregate of Grading 2 [63 to 40mm size] spread, rolled with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity and consolidated to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Serial Item No. 2 above but except materials complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for repairs to Pot Holes exceeding 30 mm depth and not exceeding 1.00 Sq.m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sq.m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, rolled and consolidated with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq.m, blinded with 0.09 cu.m of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again rolled and consolidated with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Premixed Bituminous Macadam laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber [consolidate thickness 75mm or less] using paving bitumen of Grade VG - 30 as binder with 4% by weight of total mix using Hot Mix Plant and Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 KG per 10 Sq.m of paving bitumen of grade VG-10 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for laying Bituminous Premixed Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG – 30, with 5.5% of binder content by weight of total mix using Hot Mix Plant and Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified. Note: Minimum Bitumen content shall be 5.5% as specified here in above. Please note that if the actual quantity of bitumen to be incorporated on approval of Mix–Design is found more than the minimum bitumen content specified above, No price adjustment shall be made for actual bitumen content of Mix–Design. Bitumen shall be Paving Bitumen of Grade VG–30 and shall be procured by the contractor.

M&L for Moorum/red bajri filling in foundations, floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Road Marking Strips, Lines, Dashes, Arrows, Letters etc of 2.5 mm thick [Reflective Type] of colour White or Golden Yellow on roads, pavements and the like exceeding 10cm wide with Hot Thermo Plast material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heaters and profile shoe heater, driven by skilled operator on road surface complete as per MOSRT & H specifications including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Solar Road Studs [Bi-Directional] made of Aluminium Die cast matt finish of size 125 X 125 X 25mm [Approximately], working on High Efficiency Mono-Crystalline Solar Panel 2.4 V / 0.3 Watt, One Ni-Mh or NI-cd Rechargeable Battery [1.2V / 1600 MA] with Six Super Bright LEDs with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd [Millicandela], with a minimum Operating time of 3-4 consecutive days with full charge, viewing distance / visibility not less than 800m with 2 Hz Flash Rate, Self operated from Dusk to Dawn, anti twist ribs on the bottom anchor / shank with high intensity reflective grade polymer sticker and conforming to IS - 12063, of Colour yellow or red or blue or green or white as approved by GE complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F Road Stud, Two way reflective of size 100mm X 100mm X 20 mm [Approximately], PVC body with retro reflective panel of Amber, Red or White colour complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Solar Road Side Delineator [Reflector] as per approved model and conforming to IRC - 67, made of Powder Coated MS Pipe, 50mm bore, 1000mm height, Heavy Grade, fitted with One Number Superior quality Solar Reflector made of Polycarbonate Round Body, Clear, UV Resistant with Four Super Bright LEDs of Colour Red / Blue / Yellow / White / Green, Flashing / Blinking / Still with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd [Millicandela], with a minimum Operating time of 3-4 consecutive days with full charge, viewing distance / visibility not less than 800m with 2 Hz Flash Rate, Self operated from Dusk to Dawn working on High Efficiency Mono-Crystalline Solar Panel 4 Volts / 0.6 Watt / 100 mAh, One Ni-Mh or NI-cd Rechargeable Battery [1.2V / 1600 mAh] with anti rust & anti theft steel net, fixed with Bolts, Nuts and Epoxy Glue, which emit excellent reflection during night time, with 3 reflective strips of colour Amber, Red or White, as approved by GE and duly embedded in PCC 1:2:4, Type B1 of suitable size fixing MS Post and earthwork etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs Speed Bumps / Speed Breakers conforming to IRC - 67 of size 335 X 245 mm, 50 mm high the material shall be Black/Yellow coloured and UV stabilised to keep perpetually colorful, Studded with reflectors on either side for clear visibility during night hours, fixed with nails supplied with the Bumps, grouting the holes with appropriate epoxy adhesive on the road surface and Bumps complete all as specified and as directed.
