Dismantaling of old PCC of tank bottom pad of crude tanks at WRPL,Viramgam to a depth of 4"( app. 100 mm). Cutting Radial groove of depth 30 mm beneath annular plate projection in all tanks. Providing radial drain at 10 m gap all around the tank bottom pad in all tanks including supply of tools tackels labors and dumping of debris to the location as specified by EIC.
Providing and laying plain cement concrete of mix 1:3:6 with 20 mm aggregate size to a depth of 75 mm of bottom pad including centering and shuttering where necessary and curing with water complete including supply of material manpower, tools, and tackles as per specification provided by Engineer-in-charge. The PCC to be done with such a slope so that water or any fluid would not accumulate around the bottom pad and immediately goes to peripheral drain around the tank.
Surface preparation using hand toolcleaning including removal of oil, grease and other contaminants bysolvent cleaning followed by removal of defective paint, loose millscale, loose rust, loose paint, weld flux, slag from the metallicsurfaces, by hand chipping, hand brushing, hand scrappers /chisels, steel wools & Painting with One coat of epoxy zinc phosphate primer (60%volume solid) to a dry film thickness of minimum 50 microns, two coatsof high build coal tar epoxy with minimum 50 microns DFT each by supplyof all equipments, tools and tackles,labour etc as per specifications of manufacturer and direction of EIC
Removal of damaged padding and strengthening of tank bottom Bitumen Padding/conbextra cement (in eroded condition) in outer shell to annular joint location approx. size (0.050M x 0.100M). Sealing with hot bitumen/conbetra cement of requisite grade by providing concrete weir as per the direction of EIC/ Site Engineer.
