Dismantling of flexible pavement (bituminous courses) by mechanical means and disposal of dismantled material up to a lead of 1 kilometre, as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30cm in depth. 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including disposal of excavated earth with all lead and lift within Airport premises disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed. a) All kinds of soil
Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Construction of dry lean cement concrete sub base over a prepared subgrade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS:383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per specifications, cement content not to be less than 150 Kg/cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, for all leads & lifts, laid with a mechanical paver, compacting with 8-10 tonne vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-incharge.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paverfinisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achievethe desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying Pavement Quality Concrete of producing by batching plant having a minimum work test beam flexural strength of 40 Kg /cm2 at 28 days using not less than 340 Kg of ordinary Portland Cement of 43 grade conforming to IS: 8112 per cum of concrete coarse sand and graded stone aggregates of 40 mm nominal size in appropriate proportions as per specified design criteria and job mix formula approved by the Engineer - in - Charge, in airfield pavements laid in panels with necessary dummy / construction/ expansion joints as per drawings or as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge, mechanically vibrated using Slip form paver as per technical specification and providing 400 microns thick polythene sheet as antifriction layer over 6 mm thick fine sand layer, curing and providing & filling construction joints and dummy joints with approved polysulphide joint sealing compound (conforming to grade BS:5212, Part-1, 1990) including rounding off edges , priming the concrete surface with approved primer and filling the groove 10 mm x 10 mm deep at top for construction joints and 10mm x 10mm deep at top for dummy joints with approved polysulphide joint sealing compound, the balance depth of dummy joint if any, being filled with expanded polyethylene foam (Armor Board) including providing and applying bond breaker (polythene tape) on Armor board top surface, including preparing the surface and applying masking tape on front edge of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after sealant has been applied and tooled and necessary arrangements for expansion joints etc. complete.
Providing and laying 400 micron thick polythene sheet antifriction layer on the base course complete as per specification with specified overlap between adjacent strip and transverse joints as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and filling Expansion Joints with approved polysulphide joint sealing compound (confirming to grade BS:5212, Part-I, 1990) including painting the sides of slab upto a depth of 20mm with approved appropriate primer to receive the specified sealing compound, providing and applying bond breaking tape on top edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give a neat finish to the sealant has been applied and tooled, all complete as per specification and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (Competent Authority has approved 25mm width instead of 20mm and same was conveyed to the qualified agencies. Accordingly rate analysis has been modified.)
Painting runway/taxi track/apron marking with adequate no. of coats to give uniform finish with road marking paint of superior make as approved by the Engineer‐in‐charge including cleaning the surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and other foreign material etc. and lining out complete. New work (Two or more coats)
