TENDER FOR SIEVED BED MATERIAL/CLINKER HANDLING IN BOILERS

Loading of Seived bed material in boiler from operating floor, spreading and leveling as per the direction of EIC. The contractor has to arrange man power, if required during odd hours & Sundays/ holidays, if required on emergency. Frequency: As and when required.

Transportation of Seived bed material , available in polythene bags, from ground floor to operating floor and coal scale area of boiler house and stacking it as per the direction of EIC. Frequency: As & when required.

Transportation of drained bed material, when boiler is in operation and drained clinker from boiler area to designated sieving area as per direction of EIC. Frequency: As and when required.

Collecting the bed material in polythene bags from areas wherever necessary for inspection of bed coils, wall tubes or for any other maintenance purpose and keeping the bed material either inside or outside of boiler bed, as per the direction of the EIC. Frequency: As and when required.

Removal of clinker from boiler 1 bed, using suitable methods without causing any damage to the bed coils/side wall tubes and transporting the removed clinker from the boiler to a specified area within 30 meters from ground floor of boiler house. After removal of clinkers, entire bed material and cleaning of nozzle distribution plates , all fluidization nozzles needs to be flushed out with compressed air and all nozzles needs to be pinned. Frequency: As & when required.

Removal of clinker and bed material inside furnace (Cross section 6.5m*6m) by engaging suitable manpower. Location of clinker and bed material is between bed coils and fluidization nozzles. Manpower engaged has to lie down between fluidization nozzles and bed coils and manually pass on clinker pieces to manholes available to be taken out. Bed material can be drained through bed drains. Since job to be executed is in constrained area, manpower engaged has to be physically fit. After removal of clinkers, entire bed material and cleaning of nozzle distribution plates, all fluidization nozzles of 4 compartments/ wind box needs to be flushed out with compressed air and all nozzles need to be pinned (PB# 2).
