ADDN/ALTN OF PARKING BAY WITH EXTENSION AND FIXING OF BOTTOM AND TOP GUIDE RAILS OF HANGAR DOORS AT T62 HANGAR OF INAS 336 AT INS GARUDA KOCHI

Design, supply, erection and commissioning of (i) 04 Nos Parking bay structure with pile foundation covered with 0.50mm thick galvalume sheet (cladding & roof) including extension of top and bottom guide rails of sliding door to entire length of parking bay , including provn of additional members for strengthening of existing 04 columns near parking bay (one each in each parking bay) as recommended in design complete all as specified and as directed and (ii) Mild steel top over hanging beams fixed into the existing hangar for supporting the top rails throughout opening on front and back side of hangar opening (02 set) including strengthening of existing 08 columns ( 04 colums on each face) all as specified and as per approved design / drawing complete all as directed by GE. (The parking bay structure, overhanging beams and members for strengthening of existing colums shall be fabricated by using MS channel, angles, T section, tubular section etc all as per approved designs/drawings)

Scope of work:- (a) The top over hanging beams and parking bay structure shall be of MS rolled sections or tubular sections conforming to Fe 410W (Gde 250) quality B as per design. Top over hanging beam to support/hold top guide rails on both opening of hangar shall take support from existing hangar member / truss/ purlin etc as per design. Provision of additional support if any required for top over hanging beams shall be deemed to include in the scope of work. (b) There shall be FOUR parking bays ie each on every corner of hangar as shown in sketch (No. SK/01/2022 sht 1/1 dated 31 Mar 22). The size of parking bay at 03 corners of the hangar shall be appx 4.5mx2.0mx7.0m and on the 4th corner, the size of parking bay shall be approx. 2.5mx2.0mx7.0m. Each parking bay shall have 03 new pile / pile foundation (under reamed with single bulb) of 500mm dia and 12m depth or piles as per design. The actual depth and reinforcement of pile, pile cap, plinth beam etc shall be as per design. The cost of pile, pile cap and plinth beam including reinforcement, formwork and one initial load and one routine load test shall deemed to include in the quoted lumpsum (c) Demolition of reinfirced concrete / PCC, excavation in hard standing/ any type of soil and cutting of bottom rail required for provision of pile foundation and pile cap of parking bay structure shall deemed to be included in the scope of work. (d) The columns of parking bay shall be ISMB 200 or above as per design. The Earthwork , PCC / RCC foundation/ column base/ column with connected steel structure/ pile foundation as applicable complete with roof shall be as per design and shall include in the scope of work. (e) The entire steel structure provided under this work shall be painted with two coats of anticorrosive epoxy paint over a coat of epoxy primer after preparation of surface. (f) All civil work with PCC or RCC for fixing of bottom rail extension and column base including necessary scaffolding shall be included in the scope of work.

Scope of work (contd....) (g) The size of top guide rail (05 Nos) available at site is ISMB 125 x 70 x 5 mm and that of bottom rail is CR 50 Lbs (05 Nos). The length of rails available at site is equal to length of hangar opening ie. 37m. These guide rails shall be extended with same members including the bottom rail CR 50 Lbs properly welded to ISMB 200 x 75 x 6 mm which is placed perpendicular to rail at 1.50m c/c spacing and properly grouted into floor upto the parking bay with all necessary support so that hangar door can be rest completely in the parking bay. (h) The quoted rate shall deemed to include for the cost of design, design calculation and submission of structural drawings (of top over hanging beams to support/hold top guide rails, extended top / bottom guide rails and parking bay including under reamed pile foundation complete) duly vetted by IIT/NIT/ Any Govt Engineering College . The design, design calculation and drawing shall be submitted to GE (NW) Kochi through Engineer-in-Charge for approval of HQ CE (NW) Kochi before commencement of work. The work shall executed as per approved design drawing only. Nothing extra shall be admissible at a later stage. (j) One open drain is crossing through the location proposed for parking bay of size 2.5mx2mx7m. Necessary demolition and reconstruction of drain shall be included in the scope of work. (k) The sides and roof of parking bay shall be covered with 0.5mm thick PPGL Sheet. (l) Any damage occurring to existing structure/floor etc during execution of work shall be made good by the contractor to the satisfaction of GE/Engr-in-charge at his own on expense.

Note:- (a). The size of existing hangar opening is approx. 37.0m x 7.0m. (b) The scope of subject work does not cater for hangar door, top and bottom rail etc for length equal to hangar opening which are available at site. (c) The scope of subject work cater for top and bottom guide rail beyond hangar opening ie for portion inside parking bay at 04 corners only and provn of top over hanging beam support for top guide rail for entire length equal to hanger opening on both side of hangar and parking bay at 04 corners of hangar. (d) The motorized sliding MS hangar door at site consist of 10 leaves of 4.0m width each and 05 Nos leaves are sliding to each corner. In open position 5 leaves shall rest on each parking bay. (e) The size of top guide rail available at site is ISMB 125 x 70 x 5 mm and that of bottom rail is CR 50Lbs. (f) All Nut bolt and self tighting screws shall be as per design. (g)The design, design calculation and structural drawings (of top over hanging beams to support/hold top guide rails, extended top / bottom guide rails and parking bay including under reamed pile foundation complete) duly vetted by IIT/NIT/ Any Govt Engineering College shall be submitted to GE (NW) Kochi through Engineer-in-Charge for approval of HQ CE (NW) Kochi before commencement of work. The work shall executed as per approved design drawings. (h) The soil investigation report of nearby area for design of single bulb under reamed pile will be supplied by the Engineer-in-Charge. (j) The tenderer shall visit the site/ hangar to ascertain the actual scope of work and to get acquainted with the existing hangar structure, existing top and bottom guide rail and automated sliding hangar door. The tenderer can visit the site after obtaining prior permission from Engineer-in Charge and can verify the structural drawing of existing hangar door and other details of hangar required for design of top over hanging beam supporting system and parking bay. (k) The commissioning of the entire erection under this work shall considered completed only after satisfactory operation/sliding of the hangar door/leafs till parking bay. (l) The indicative architectural drawing is provided with tender documents and is for reference only. The final architectural and structural drawings shall be as per design, vetting and approval as above.

Add / Deduct to item No.1 for each 1m depth over and under 12m depth for adjustment of extra or less depth of pile required as per design. Note:- The quoted rate shall be additional rate for 1m depth or part thereof for 500mm dia under reamed pile including all boring, RCC, reinforcement, cutting of laitance concrete etc complete all as specified and as directed.
