Construction of Foundation for Cooling Tower and Pump at Compressor House Inside CSL Yard

Dismantling and demolition of the existing storage shed (8.40 m × 3.90 m) down to ground level without damaging the structural members or roofing sheets, including cutting 800 mm wide openings in the 300 mm thick masonry upstand of the existing cooling tower, as per drawings, to facilitate the new cooling tower foundation and water flow connection. The item includes disposal of all demolished materials outside the CSL yard at the Contractor's responsibility and stacking of the roofing sheets and structural members for reuse.

Earthwork excavation in all classes of soils including necessary bailing out of water, dressing of sides and bottom, shoring if necessary shifting of excavated earth within 100m for storage and disposal of surplus/unusable excavated earth by mechanical transport including loading, unloading, stacking, spreading and leveling at designated CSL area (approx 2 km outside of the yard), clearing of any roots or vegitation, without damaging any near by structures/utilities etc complete including all labour,material,machinery charges etc as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock &vegitation) in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth and for all lifts,watering, compacting including bailing out water if necessary, all labour charges, conveyance from stacked location, cost and conveyance of all materials etc. complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Measurement will be taken based on size of pit/compacted volume.

Supplying and laying coarse graded Granular Sub Base 40 mm down size, laid in layers not exceeding 100 mm thick and spreading, watering, levelling and rolling using plate/mini compactor for compacting the bed complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying in position plain cement concrete with mix ratio 1:3:6 (1 Cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) including cost of cement, centering and shuttering, mixing, laying, compacting, curing, deshuttering, cost of conveyance, delivery, handling, unloading, storing of all materials, dewatering if any etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Providing and laying in position readymix/machine mixed, design mix M25 grade cement concrete for Reinforced cement concrete work, using minimum cement content of 350kg/m3, including cost of pumping of concrete to site of laying, compaction with needle vibrator, other required machineries and equipments, all materials, centering, shuttering, deshuttering, dewatering, finishing, curing, cost for precast concrete cover blocks admixtures in recommended proportions & approved mix design, delivery, handling, unloading, storing of all materials, including cost of cement as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and providing Solid block masonry using pre-cast solid blocks (Factory made) of approved size and thickness of 20cm having compressive strength not less than 4N/mm2 in: CM 1:6 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand) including cost of all materials, labour, transportation, loading, unloading, cost of cement, curing and scaffolding etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Plastering with 1:4 CM, 12mm thk. floated hard and trowelled smooth including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour, curing, scaffoldings etc.complete at all levels as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying, fabricating, placing and tying in position torsteel reinforcement to size and shape including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour for loading, unloading, uncoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, binding, lapping or welding, coupling, hire charges of welding equipments, tools and plants, welding electrode, placing in position and binding with binding wire,wastage etc. complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (Rate is inclusive of cost of Steel reinforcement and 22G binding wire). Only the quantity of fabricated steel that is fixed at site shall be measured and paid. Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D or more.

MS Steel work in plates, channels, angles etc. including cutting, making holes, fixing in position by welding or bolting and applying a coat of epoxy primer of approved steel primer and two coats of epoxy paint after buffing and cleaning the sections including hire charges for tools and plants, cost of electrodes, other incidentals etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
