"Carrying out relay alteration to the existing Per Relay relay wiring at relay rack/location box as per the approved circuit diagram. These work includes the releasing of existing unused wires and wiring the relays using 16/0.2 mm copper wire as per RDSO Spec. Wire to be procured from RDSO's approved source and inspection: by RITES [for value of material above Rs. 5.0 lakhs.]. "
Excavation of trench 1.2 mtr deep, 300mm Kilometre wide at the bottom along main line in normal soil, including clearing of bushes, trees etc and refilling of the trench by excavated soil and ramming after laying of the required quantity of cables as per instructions of Engineer at site. The work also includes excavation of trenches in the beds of culverts. Whenever the dimensions of cable Trenches as mentioned in the Tender Schedule are not easily achievable due to terrain conditions, then payments will be made on a pro-rata basis, for the dimensions achieved.The specific approval of the Engineer in charge of the work (not below the rank of Sr. Scale officer), will be required for such dispensation.
Excavation of cable trench 300mm wide at Kilometre the bottom and 1.2 meter deep in hard soil mixed with bolders / hard murum soil including clearing of trees, bushes and refilling of cable trench by excavated soil, murum, bolders etc. Care should be taken while refilling the cable trench such that the murum / bolders etc. does not damage the cable. Ramming after laying of cable (a) 6- quad (b) jelly filled & power cables etc. Whenever the dimensions of cable Trenches as mentioned in the Tender Schedule are not easily achievable due to terrain conditions, then payments will be made on a pro-rata basis, for the dimensions achieved.The specific approval of the Engineer in charge of the work (not below the rank of Sr. Scale officer), will be required for such dispensation. Excavation of cable trench 1.0m deep from Metre the rail flange and 300mm wide across the track, for track crossing and refilling after laying of RCC/ GI/ DWC pipes and restoring the track to its original condition. Generally there shall be no proportionate payment for cable at depth lesser than that specified in the tender schedule. If it is not possible to reach the required depth at any location, then the contractor shall obtain approval of Railway Site Engineer, who shall get the dispensation, from JAG vide Rly. Board's letter No. 2013/Sig/SEM Pt.-II/Misc., dated 12.06.2014 before commencement of cable laying process and only then shall the proportionate payment be made to the contractor. The work shall be done as per extant practice on W.C. Railway & instruction of Railway Engineer at site. Cable trench as per Drg. No. TS/Cable laying/12/03/03 Alt.-1. For achieving 1.0 Mtr depth for the bottom most cable, the contractor shall dig the trenches to a depth, slightly more than 1.0m to take care of practical problems. Laying of RCC/GI/DWC pipe and cables is covered in separate item.
"Blowing / drawing of OFC through HDPE Kilometre duct & protective work already provided in the excavated trench. All the equipment and machinery required shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. Cable should be laid according to the technical conditions and instructions of the site in charge. Note: OFC will be supplied by Railway."
Transportation & laying of HDPE Duct in the Kilometre trenches and in the protective works (i.e. GI pipes/DWC pipe/ boring etc.) and supply as well as pulling of nylon rope through it at different places as per direction of Engineer- in-charge. This also includes laying of Duct in track crossings & road crossings etc. Note- HDPE pipes along with all accessories such as couplers, plugs, end-plugs etc., which are required for proper laying & fixing of HDPE duct, shall be supplied by Railways.
Supply & laying of well burnt bricks of size Numbers 110000.00 200mm x 90mm x 65mm inside the trench (with the brick length being perpendicular to cable route) after laying of cable & covering of cables laid in trenches by loose excavated soil for a layer of 50mm thickness approximately, in station area from Outermost to Outermost signal or at any other location as per instruction of Site Engineer. Note:- Size of bricks to be got approved by Railway Site Engineer. In case brick size is in variance with the size given in the tender schedule then proportionate payment on volumetric basis shall be paid to contractor subject to a maximum limit of schedule rate.
Laying of All types of Signal/ Telecom/ Power Kilometre Cable of various cores/ sizes in excavated trenches. The work shall be done as per extant practice followed on W.C. Railway and as per the instructions of Railway Engineer at site. KOTA DIVISION-SIGNALLING AND TELECOMMUNICATION/WEST CENTRAL
Transportation & Laying of GI/DWC/RCC Metre pipes along with collars in trenches at places wherever required as per the instruction of the engineer at site.
Cutting of all types of Roads (1 Mtr X300 Metre mm)/ platforms (300mm X 300mm) preparatory to trenching, excavation and refilling after laying of RCC/ GI/ DWC pipe & restoring them to original condition. Generally there shall be no proportionate payment for cable at depth lesser than that specified in the tender schedule. If it is not possible to reach the required depth at any location, then the contractor shall obtain prior approval of Railway Site Engineer, who shall get the dispensation, from JAG vide Rly. Installation of Thermo-shrinkable jointing kits Numbers for making (a) straight through joints without transformer for 6 -quad Jelly filled cable, (b)Derivation joint without transformer for 6- Quad Jelly filled cable, and (c)Straight Through joint without transformer for10 Pr/20Pr. PIJFcables and construction of BrickChamber for protection of joints withcontractor's all materials as per Drg.No. given by Railway where VF transformers are notrequired. All the materials required for the work are to be arranged bythe contractor himself at his own cost except Thermo- shrinkable jointing kitwhich is already covered in Supplyportion of the tender. After jointingthe cable through test such asinsulation test, Continuity cablelosses etc. to be carried out jointlywith the Railway Engineer. If anydefect or any damage observedduring jointing, the contractor shouldredo the joint free of cost.
Supply, fixing, painting and installation of Numbers RCC/Stone cable route markers as per drawing No. DRM/KOTA/MISC-87 or WCR/Sig/ST.RT.MARKER/201401. Placing and securing of cable route markers in trenches at the specified interval and diversions, joints etc along the cable route. The work shall be done as per extant practice on W. C. Rly & the instructions of Rly engineer at site. Sample to be approved by engineer in- charge of the Railways before supply, after the testing prescribed in drawing. This includes supply of Paints of different colours as per drawing. The paint shall be either from Asian or Shalimar / Apcolite / Berger having ISI mark. Fixing of ARA/cage type disconnect terminals Numbers and fuse blocks with provision of holes on Phenolic Laminated Sheets and fixing with galvanised nuts & bolts in Location Boxes and elsewhere. This includes provision of additional holes on the Phenolic Laminated Board on either side for cable conductor entry. The work shall be done as per the instructions of Railway Engineer at site.
Termination of cable cores on ARA Per Terminals/cage type disconnect terminals, Conductor fuse blocks, 8-way terminals blocks, telecom terminals in new/existing apparatus cases, existing MCTB/existing telecom cable termination racks. This includes all associated works of pulling out the cable from underground, dressing of cable, making wiring tree with contractor lacing & threading material etc. Both ends of a cable core shall be counted as per conductor. This includes soldering of armour tree/ring of cables and connecting to copper plate through GI wire bus bar in location boxes. The work shall be done as per instructions of Railway Engineer at site.
Excavation, casting (1:3:6) and plastering Numbers (1:4, with fine sand) of main signal foundation as per Drg. No. Dy.CSTE/C/Kota/1 ALT 'A' with contractor's own material including ballast, cement, local available sand, PVC pipe & galvanised anchor bolts with nuts & washers, etc. The hole for cable entry should be kept as per site requirement and instruction of Railway Engineer at site. The required Ferma of the size mentioned in the drawing for casting of foundation will have to be brought by the contractor at his own cost. All nuts, bolts and washers etc. should be galvanised iron.
Erection of Main Signal (CLS) Post with Numbers Surface base and signal unit complete on top or on Off-set Bracket, fixing of front and back staging, ladder, guard, signal name plates/board, protective screen, blanking of ladder (0.6mm MS sheet), if any with contractor's own brackets, nuts & bolts & o t h e r fixing materials. This also includes erection of auxiliary signals like Calling-ON, Shunt Signal. Wooden white cross-arms (1000mm x 100 mm) to be provided by the contractor till the signals are commissioned with contractor's own material. If the ladder/front/back staging is infringing the SOD, then suitable arrangement of fixing steps for climbing up to signal unit and reducing the size of front/back staging as per instructions of site engineer shall be done. The work shall be done as per instructions of Railway Engineer at site. All nuts, bolts and washers etc. should be galvanised iron. KOTA DIVISION-SIGNALLING AND TELECOMMUNICATION/WEST CENTRAL
Termination of tail cable on Main & Auxiliary Numbers Signal units and wiring with contractor own material, fixing of LED signal units etc. Flexible Single core copper wire 2.5 sq.mm (50/0.25) conforming to IS-694:1990 (as per aspect colour) and lugs etc. will be supplied by the contractor. This includes insertion of tail cables from ground to signal unit, thereafter sealing the opening and testing the signal as per instructions of Railway Engineer at site.

Installation of earth electrode assembly as Numbers per Drg. No. S&T/CON/Kota/Earthing/01 ALT- 1 and connecting through stainless steel wire 8 SWG supported on MS flat of size 5mm x 40mm to earth electrode as per Drg. No. T/2014/1 for signals and T 2014/5 for Location Boxes/Apparatus Cases. The earth value should be less than 10 Ohms including the lead wire. The value should be measured in presence of Railway Supervisors. It should be documented and painted on earth enclosure made of concrete. Only earth electrode will be supplied by Railway. All other material required for provision of earthing will be brought by the contractor. This earth can be provided for DPs, block instruments & ELD etc. also, so as to achieve the desired earth resistance value. Earth enclosure to be manufactured & supplied by contractors own material of ratio 1:3:6, without cover. Additional connection of Earth pipe including parallel connection with other earth pipes with the function shall be done using left over pieces of signalling cable. Laying of cable pieces shall be covered in laying of cable item and cable shall be supplied by Railways.
"Erection, Fitting and Rail connection of Numbers Track Lead Junction Box (TLJB) on two vertical support (M.S. angle) with contractor's own fixing material including 7mm single groove galvanized channel pins for track lead connections as per Drg. No. JBP/S&T/C/106/II. This include drilling of holes (04 Nos., 8.2 mm dia) in rails for track connections as per instructions of Railway Engineer at site. Note: Jacketted galvanized steel wire rope of 6mm dia., PVC sheathed of 2mm thickness for connection between the TLJB and the rails to be used and to be supplied by the contractor. Double wire ropes to be connected between each rail and TLJB (using lugs) i.e. with each TLJB, 04 Nos. of wire ropes to be fixed, at locations having positive & negative connections and at other TLJBs i.e. for jumpering only 02 wire ropes are required to be fixed (jacketted galvanised steel wire rope of 6mm dia, PVC sheathed of 2mm thickness inspected by consignee)."
Provision of bonding with GI wire 4mm dia (8 Numbers SWG) for fish plate joints bonds, crossing bond etc. This will include drilling of 7.2 mm dia. holes in rails (4 Nos.) and provision of two jumpers for each bond, etc. with contractor's own tools as per instruction of Railway Engineer at site. Replacement defective/codal life completed batteries with charged battries( batteries will be supplied by railway).Charging of 2V lead Acid Batteries with contractors own battery grade sulphuric acid and distilled water with minimum two charge - discharge cycles, installation of charged batteries in group & their connection & wiring. The work shall be done as per extant practice of W.C. Railway & instruction of Engineer in-charge.(The item per unit = Per 100 VAH).

"Fixing/ Refixing of electrical point machine Per Unit on existing layout, ground connection after removing the electrical point detector, FPL assembly and mechanical or any other fittings including existing Point Machine fitting if any, adjustment if necessary, wiring of point machine testing and commissioning of electrically operated point, fixing and connecting point indicator on derail switch if necessary. This will include fabrication and fixing of GI bend pipes as per Drg. No. Dy.CSTE(Con)/Kota/5 of S-shape of 1.2 meter length & 50mm dia with welded frame for cable entry to the point machine and termination of tail cable in point machine and wiring servicing of point machine & supply and filling of SAE-30 lubrication oil . All work pertaining to Horizontal Dirctional Metre Drilling (HDD)/Boring and trenchless cabling. It includes supply, transportation and insertion of self lubricated HDPE Pipe and laying of cables in boring under the track/road/platform/circulating area by using different sizes of pipes depending on total number of cables will be crossed. The depth of horizontal boring should be minimum 1 mtr upto 3 mtr, from rail flange/ road level/ground level as per site requirement and as per instructions of Railway Engineer incharge. This item will be used for track crossing of running lines, road crossing & circulating area. By using self lubricated HDPE Pipe of 120mm outer dia and 103.5mm inner dia in the bore and laying of cables in the bore under the track/road/circulating area.
Preparation of cable duct 150mm x 300mm Metre deep for laying of cables in rocky area and refilling the duct (after cable laying) with concrete mixture of proportion 1:3:6 and grouting the ends at either side of the rocky portion using concrete mixture with contractors own cement and other materials.
