Providing and fixing expansion joint treatment including scaffolding in horizontal/vertical portion using HYPALON sheet system in position for irregular gap of size 20-40 mm with 300 x 2 mm thick HYPALON tape having Bond Strength > 2.0 N/mm², Elongation at Break > 400%, Tensile Strength > 6.0 N/mm², Tear Propagation Strength > 300.0 N/cm, Maximum permissible permanent elongation - 25% of non adhered width for higher movement place and fix in a loop, Artificial weathering - 10,000 hours passed, Pulsation resistance - (5% extension, 4 cycles per Sec) > 1,00,000 cycles, Vibration resistance - (5% expansion, 120 cycles per Sec) > 50,000 cycles, Water Pressure Resistance - Depending on joint design upto 1-2 bar (25psiback pressure). HYPALON tape will be fixed by using suitable 2 component epoxy adhessive @ 2Kg/Rmt (2 parts of component A and 1 part of component B by weight or volume) having Compressive Strength - ≥ 60 N/mm2 (14 days), Tensile Strength in Flexure - ≥ 25 N/mm2 (14 days), Tensile Strength - ≥ 8 N/mm2 (07 days), Modulus of Elasticity in Tension - 1500 MPa, Elongation at Break - 0.28%, Tensile Adhesion Strength - ≥ 10 N/mm2 (Concrete failure), Shrinkage - Hardens without shrinkage. Mix the admix for about 3 minutes with a low speed drill & paddle mixer untill uniform color is obtained. The HYPALON tape should extend upto 25-40 mm beyond the edge as per site condition. The operation shall be carried out after scrapping and properly cleaning the surface. All lose particals like dust laitance, grease, oils curing compounds, release agents, & other foreign particles to be cleaned with wire brush in all respect including removal of all old and other treatments. The surface must be sound and dry. The subtrate must be repaired with polymer modified mortar before fixing the HYPALON tape..
