SURVEY AND SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR PROVN OF 01 X BURNING PIT FOR DISPOSAL AT BABINA CANTT

1. Mobilisation of mechanical drilling equipment / rig and shifting of entire arrangement from one bore to another hole location and setting of boring / drilling rig as reqd/ direction by Engr-in-charge. Boring 150mm dia bores holes to 10 mtr depth through following type of strata :- (a) any type of soil. (b) Soft rock (c ) Hard rock Collection of undisturbed soil sample at 3m interval or any change of strata in 100mm bore thin walled tube invl waxing sealing, packing and transporting to the lab. Carrying out standard penetration test incl collecting of disturbed soil sample in bore holes at every 1.5m depth or any change of strata and submit the report with all requisite data. 2. Conducting necessary tests as per relevant IS codes / NBC 2005/SP-36 on all collected samples which incl the determination of:- (a) Atterberg Limits. (b) Natural Moisture Content (c ) Wet and Dry density. (d) Soil particle size distribution using. (e) Try axial shear test C & C determination. (f) Shrinkage limit. (g) Consolidation test (h) Specific gravity test for sand rock (j) Crushing Str of rock sample (k) Permibility test (l) Chemical analysis of ground water sample (min 02 sample) (m) Free soil Index (n) Chemical anaysis of soil.

3. Excavating Trial Pit (TP) of size 1.2mX1.2mX1.2m at various locations upto 2 m depth below ground level in all types of soil and weathered rock which can be excavated with pick axe/crow bar etc including sheeting or shoring the sides for the purpose of stability, dewatering and maintaining the pit dry at all times, collecting disturbed/undisturbed samples at 1m intrval and at final depth and transporting all the collected samples to the laboratory, backfilling of the pit with excavated material and carrying out various laboratory tests on soil samples such as sieve analysis, Atterbergs limit, field moisture content, bulk denisty, specific gravity, DFS, Permeable Test, consolidation test, unconfined compressive strength test, chemical test on subsoil/sub water sample, shear test for cohesion and angle of shearing resistance including submission of sub-soil investigations, Engineearing analysis of soil, laboratory test results, calculation of SBC, recommendation and precaution regarding type of

Note:- 1. Rate includes all items of work s necessary for carrying out complete soil exploration work , collecting of sample, testing at any NABL accredited laboratory and field test result at submission four set of report need to be submitted. 2. Rate include for submission of detailed recommendation for shallow foundation & bearing capacity of soil (SBC) at 1.5/2.0/3.0 m depth Type of foundation and depth of footing be clearly specified. 3. in case very weak soil strata is encounted, recommendation about pile foundation i.e Type , dia, depth of pile safe load carrying capacity and socketting of pile into hard rock shall be clearly given in the report, also measures for ground improvement if required be included in the report safe bearing capacity shall be worked out based on N value shear failure and settlement area . 4. Video graphic record in CD/DVD (02 copies) will be required to submit as token of proof of execution at site.
