Evacuation of 2.50 lakh CuM pond ash including eco-friendly transportation and eco-friendly disposal at a distance of 20 km and beyond from the allocated evacuation site of Ash Pond of Bakreswar Thermal Power Station.

Evacuation of pond ash at BkTPS, WBPDCL from either Ash Pond-I, Ash Pond-II, or both, depending on the availability of the ponds for evacuation (with the site handover at Ash Pond-I & II being at the sole discretion of BkTPS, WBPDCL and the agency being required to accept the same) by deploying excavating machineries and other accessories including loading into dumpers at work site and unloading in eco-friendly manner at approved prescribed avenue of MOEF&CC at a distance of 20 km and beyond from the allocated evacuation site including lift and lead at both loading and unloading points, as per direction of the EIC. The avenue prescribed by MOEF & CC (i) Fly ash based products (bricks or blocks or tiles or fibre cement sheets or pipes or boards or panels); (ii) Cement manufacturing, Ready mix concrete; (iii)Ash and Geo-polymer based construction material; (iv) Manufacturing of sintered or cold bonded ash aggregate; (v) Construction of roads, road and flyover embankment; (vi) Filling up of low lying area;(vii) Filling of mine voids; (viii) Use in overburden dumps; (ix) Construction of shoreline protection structures in coastal districts. The agency must take prior permission from BkTPS as well as from State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) of the state for filling up of low-lying area; filling of mine voids; use in overburden dumps before disposal of pond ash in this avenue. Necessary official correspondence, if required, will be made by BkTPS. [Deduction in Contractual rate: If the evacuated pond ash is disposed of at a location within 20 km, a deduction of Rs. 7.00 per cubic meter (cum) to be applied for each kilometre short of the 20 km distance. This deduction will be calculated on a pro- rata basis and adjusted against the final contractual rate].
