SOIL STABILIZATION AND GROUND IMPROVEMENT
Earth work in excavation by Mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan) in any kind of soil including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5 m including getting out excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as specified and directed with in a lead of 50 m including dewatering etc. for sub-surface drainage.

Supply and laying of 630 mm outer dia (PE-100, PN-16) HDPE pipe confirming to IS 4984-2016 and shall be jointed/laid in accordance with latest IS 7634 Part-2, perforated around circumference all as shown in drawing and specified for sub surface drain including necessary bend, connectors etc to maintain proper gradient to drain out water to the final disposal point all as specified and directed. Note: Perforation shall be 5mm dia with spacing of 8 times dia on whole circumference of the pipe.
River sand filling in pavements, Taxi links, (Granular sand blanket measuring 500 mm thick) including watering, levelling, rolling and consolidating the surface by heavy compaction (IS 2720 Part-8) using vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to obtain 75-80 % of Max dry density complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: Care shall be taken not to disturb PVDs while filling and compacting the sand layer.
Supply and installation of Prefabricated Verticle Drains (PVD) of size 100 mm wide x 5 mm thick (Minimum thickness) at a spacing of 1.2 m in triangular pattern by using drain stitcher over the entire area as shown on drawing and complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: (i) PVDs shall be cut after installation in such a manner that PVD head length of 400 mm can be embedded in a sand blanket of 500 mm thickness as shown in drawing. (ii) PVDs shall consist of corrugated inner core wrapped in non woven geotextile (Poly propylene) and shall have discharge capacity not less than 100 x 10-6 m3/s under hydraulic gradient of 1 at pressure of 250 kPa. (iii) The rate quoted shall include the cost of labour, equipment, material, marking etc. required for installation of PVDs (iv) PVD installation shall be got done as per manufacturer’s instructions and through authorized/ nominated applicator/ installer of manufacturer of PVD. (v) PVD shall be procured from the following manufacturers: (a) M/S TECHFAB (b) M/S TENCATE (c) M/S NYLEX

M&L of lime soil columns of 500 mm dia at spacing of 1 m centre to centre in triangular pattern in any strata upto 10 m depth, through deep soil mixing technique using 250-300 KNm Torque Hydraulic head connected with a rotary forward drive of max 30 RPM in vertical direction and discharge nozzle having sufficient discharge capacity of lime slurry for upto 12 % lime-soil ratio, welded to the auger at the bottom, silo setup to store and discharge the lime mixture as per the design recommendation including an electronic measuring system integrated with the head unit to measure the discharge of the mixture and to continously monitor the process of deep soil mixing complete all as specified and directed . NOTE : 1. Quick lime or un hydrated lime lumps containing minimum 85 % calcium oxide shall be used. 2. Lime shall be measured and paid seperately vide Srl Item No. 54 of BOQ.

PARALLEL TAXI TRACK (PTT)
Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting before laying of PTT pavement using power roller of 8-10 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed.
Granular Sub Base (GSB) with Grading V of 300 mm Compacted thickness (laid in two layers of 150 mm thick each, Compacted Separately) for PTT pavement confirming to grading as specified , spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete using necessary mechanical paver/Grader and power roller of 8 to 10 ton capacity and vibratory roller-compactor all as specified and directed. NOTE (a) Payment shall be made for solid quantity arrived after consolidation. (b) Compaction of granular sub base filling shall be carried out under optimum moisture conditions to achieve 98 % of modified proctor density. (c) Before execution of this item the approved material obtained from outside MD land shall be tested/checked for suitability to use. (e) The lead/royalty involved is to be ascertained by the contractor before quoting his tender and no extra payment/ adjustment for increased in lead or rate of royalty due to whatsoever reason shall be admissible on his account. (f) Contractor shall use vibratory roller-compactor to achieve 98% maximum dry density (MDD) at OMC. (g) GSB shall be as per MORTH specification as detailed in particular specification.

Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) of 150 mm thick (Compacted thickness) for both PTT pavement and shoulder laid in two layers of 75 mm thick compacted separately with coarse aggregates of specified grade and spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete using mechanical paver/grader and power roller of 8 to 10 ton capacity and vibratory roller-compactor at OMC to achieve at least 98% of maximum dry density complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE : 1.The rate quoted shall be for 150 mm thick compacted thickness (each layer shall be of 75 mm and rolled and compacted separately) 2. The Maximum Dry Density shall be determined using modified proctor density determination method as per IS code on prepared GSB surface
Preparing the WMM surfaces in both PTT pavement and shoulder by brushing with wire brushes for removal of caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.
Applying evenly a prime coat with bitumen cationic emulsion SS1 grade confirming to IS 8887 @ 7 Kg per 10 Sqm, over WMM surface of both PTT pavement and shoulder spread with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and directed ( confirming to MORTH specification)
Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM-II) 150 mm consolidated thickness with grading II as specified and laid in two layers of 75 mm each using 4.5 % (minimum) binder content by weight of total mix to achieve marshall stability of 900 kg with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 using hot mix plant and spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber complete using necessary mechanical sensor paver and rollers of suitable capacity and type complete all as specified and as directed. ( for both PTT pavement and shoulder) Note:- (1) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used/ approved in the execution of work under this item based on job mix design. (2) Each layer shall be rolled and compacted separately (3) DBM shall be laid as per specifications in PS. (4) Cutting and preparation of joints shall be carried out as specified and directed, nothing extra shall be paid on this account.
Dense Asphaltic concrete (DAC) Grade I, 50 mm thick (consolidated thickness) as specified and laid in single layer using PMB 76-10 (Elastomeric Thermoplastic SBS Based) with 5.4 % minimum binder content mixed by weight of total mix to achieve marshall stability of 1200 kg using hot mix plant and spread, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber complete using necessary mechanical sensor paver and rollers of suitable capacity and type complete all as specified and as directed. ( for both PTT pavement and shoulder) Note:- (1) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used/ approved in the execution of work under this item based on job mix design. (2) Where the complete bituminous mixture fails to satisfy requirement of moisture susceptibility test, cement shall be used as filler at a maximum of 2% by weight of aggregate. The rate quoted shall be deemed to include cost of cement used as filler material.
