SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROADS AROUND HIGH RISE BUILDINGS AT NOFRA UNDER GE NAVY PORBANDAR

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 sqm, depth of pot hole exceeding 75 mm but not exceeding 150 mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 12 tonnes power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

75mm thick water bound Macadam (compacted thickness) using Granite, Trap or basalt stone with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per discription of serial item No. 02 herein before but except materials complete all as specified and directed. (Serviceable stones retrieved from will be reused).

Preparing surfaces of unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags and mechanical compressor to remove all loose dirt etc.and applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer @ 10 KG/ 10 Sqm of surface area using paving bitumen VG -30 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5Kg/ 10 Sqm of surface area using paving bitumen VG-30 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Premix bituminous macadam not exceeding 50mm consolidated thickness using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with min 4% binder (paving bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient including cleaning of existing surface by brushing with wire brushes, sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- Work to be carried in places and also patch repairs to depressions over 50mm shall be carried out under this item. Rate under this item includes for cleaning the surface of pot holes and depressions and removing of the rubbish materials as per site requirement.

Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 4.5 to 5.5% (as per design mix) binder content by weight of total mix laid using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using paving bitumen VG 30 grade and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne capacity Tendam Vibratory Roller used in static mode complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water , scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat 5kg/10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam (minimum binder content of min 4% by weight of total mix as per design mix using VG30) well rammed and sealed with binder 9.80 kg/10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.30mm size and again well rammed (including supply & laying premixed macadam binder and chippings), depth of pot holes exc 30 mm complete all as per IRC specifications and as specified. Note for Item No. for item No. 6.00 to 8.00 :- (1) Design mix shall also clearly specify filler (%), total quantity & Bitumen & Rolling required for 40 mm thick semi dense asphaltic concrete and BM. (2) Contractor shall be aware of local material and design mix prevailing in area. If Binder % worked out (in design mix) more then the % specified, same shall be provided without any extra cost. (3) During transit of material from hot mix plant to site shall be covered by tarpolin / necessary covering.

M&L for applying one coat of polymeric modified bitumen emulsion (PMBE) after cleaning of existing surfaces using self propelled emulsion distribution uniformly by self propelled squeegeee equipment of emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PMBE uniformly and mopping the total undiluted PMBE @ 0.60 Litre per Sqm in one coat (diluted quantity 1.20 litre/Sqm) diluted in ratio 3:2 (PMBE 3 Litre : Water 2 Litre) and ensure uniform finish of total area and cleaning complete all as per manufactures instructions, as specified and as directed. Note: 1 - Actual quantity of PMBE for two coats shall be as per trial patch as approved by Engr-in-Charge, and shall not be more than 1.0 Litre (undiluted PMBE) per Sqm. Consumption of PMBE shall be jointly recorded in MB for Record purpose. Note: 2 - Minus price adjustment as per pro-rata of quoted rate for 1.0 litre shall be made, if less quantity of PMBE as per trial patch and subsequently approved by GE is used in work. Note: 3 - Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks with 2.36mm to 6mm coarse sand as per manufacturer's instructions and quoted rates is deemed to include this repair. Note: 4 - The cost of trial patch of 15m x 15m is deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate.

Providing and applying 2.0 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, 20% glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material complete all as specified and as directed.

Solar Studs 135x105x26 mm made of Aluminum frame with mix epoxy filler of approved colour having breaking strength of minimum 20 tons fixed in repair / replacement complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
