Mobilisation and demobilisation of suitable boring plant and all other allied equipments like Minimum 1 boring rigs or as required number of boring rigs to complete the job in time, survey equipments and all other insitu tests equipments and manpower required to complete the scope of this work.
Boring vertically for conducting confirmatory test before commencement of RCC bored pile through all kinds of soils, weathered rock and soft rock, boulders, if any met during drilling with suitable and adequate equipment as required for the depth as measured below existing ground level. 'Note: For Boreholes location & depth will be as per decision of Engineer-in-charge.

Obtaining 90 mm diameter, 450 mm long undisturbed soil samples (UDS) in soil soft and weathered rock and collecting packaging and labeling, complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Conducting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) with part of the disturbed soil samples to be coated with paraffin wax and sealed immediately on collection to completely retain all moisture within the sample with packaged and scaled, complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Static Cone Penetration Test (SCPT) (as per IS:4968 (Part-III) - 1976 -Reaffirmed in 2002) to evaluate safe bearing capacity and settlement of cohesionless soil and undrained cohesion in clays. This test is to be carried out upto refusal, complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Conducting Sand Replacement Method (SRM) test as per IS: 2720(Part XXVIII)-1974:Reaffirmed in 2010 to evaluate bulk density and dry density of soil, as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 'Note : The test shall be conducted on DS collected from each borehole, the DS shall correspond to each soil stratum.
Grain size analysis including Grain Size Distribution Curves as per practice 'Note :The test shall be conducted on DS/ UDS collected from borehole as directed by Engineer in charge.
Sieve analysis. As per IS:2720(Part-4)- 1985 Reaffirned in 2006.
Hydrometer or Pipette analysis
Conducting test for soil classification and Percent fines as per IS : 1498 - 1970 (Reaffirmed in 2006) to evaluate soil classification & Identification. 'Note : The test shall be conducted on DS/ UDS collected from borehole as decided by Engineer in charge.
Liquid limit, plastic limit and plasticity index as per IS: 2720 (Part 5) Reaffirmed in 2006. 'Note : The test shall beconducted on DS/ UDS collected from borehole as decided by Engineer in charge.
Shrinkage limit and shrinkage ratio to determine Atterburg limits as per IS: 2720 (Part 6) Reaffirmed in 2001. 'Note : The test shall be conducted on DS/ UDS collected from borehole as decided by Engineer in charge.
Field density, voids ratio and natural moisture content of UDS Tube samples by density bottle method, Pycnometer method as per IS :2720 (Part-II) - 1973 as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Water content from UDS by oven drying method as per IS : 2720(Part II) - 1973 as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Evaluation of Liquefaction Potential based on the other tests conducted in laboratory on undisturbed or remoulded samples of soil as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Direct Shear Test on undisturbed soil samples or on soil samples compacted to specified density. Tests to be conducted as per IS:2720 (Part 13)-1993 (Reaffirmed in 2002) as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : The UDS shall correspond to each soil stratum. Hence can be decided only after receipt of borelog data. Test to be done in alternate boreholes and 2 samples assumed per borehole and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Conducting Cross Borehole test comprising of minimum Three boreholes one source bore hole & two receivers bore holes. The test shall be conducted as per latest ASTM-D4428 at each 1.5m depths intervals up to Maximum 40 m depth including mobilzation of Equipment and analysis of sample with preparartion of report as specification including Cost of PVC/Aluminum pipe casing, grouting and backfilling complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NB : The cost of boring shall be paid as per actual mesaurement as per item No. 2.
Triaxial Compression Strength Test on undisturbed soil samples or on soil samples compacted to specified density. Tests to be conducted asper IS:2720 (Part 11)-1993 (Reaffirmed in 2002) Note: The UDS shall correspond to each soil stratum. Hence can be decided only after receipt of borelog data. Test to be done in alternate boreholes and 2 samples assumed per borehole and as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.

Conducting Vibratory Table Test as per IS : 2720(Part 14)-1983: Reaffirmed 2006 to evaluate the relative density of soil 'Note : The test shall be conducted on DS/ UDS collected from borehole as decided by Engineer-in-charge.
Preparation and submission of One copy of Draft report as specified followed by five (5) copies of Final report of Geotechnical Investigation as detailed in specifications along with (2) soft copies of the same on the CD. 'Note: 1. Final Report to be submitted shall include all field records, laboratory test results, graphs, analysis/test results, photographs showing details of field tests/ soil samples, recommendations etc. consisting of deliverables as per FORMAT which will be issued to the successful bidders. '2. Geotech Investigations for Soils will be carried out to evaluate the different type of test values as per FORMAT which will be issued to the successful bidders.
Forming vertical piles including initial test piles by boring through fill and all kinds of soils including hard murrum with gravel and chiselling through occasional boulders and soft / weathered / hard rock by continuous mud circulation technique and bailer boring / Rotary Drilling method as specified, including conducting Standard Penetration test on all piles in different levels as instructed by Engineer In Charge. The tremination of boring shall be done after cleraence from EIC, carting away the bored excavated soil/Muck shall be disposed outside the VECC campus at the own cost of contracting agency. Fixing reinforcement as per drawing, casting the piles with Specified grade concrete by tremie only, using graded stone aggregates of maximum size 20 mm, ordinary portland cement with a minimum cement content of 450 kg. per cubic metre of concrete and with water cement ratio including the water contained in the aggregates not exceeding 0.40, etc. all as specified. 'The Rate includes concreting a minimum of 600 mm above specified cut-off levels, cutting of piles at cut-off level specified including cost of all materials, admixtures, (approved super plasticisers), if used with the prior approval of engineer, labour, tools, excavation, dewatering by pumps or well points and also for cut-off chipping, all as required etc.excluding cost of Steel Reinforcement but including cost of boring with bentonite solution and temporary casing for appropriate length for setting out and removal of same complete. 'Note for piling works : 'a) The quoted rate shall be inclusive of mobilisation charges for erection and commission of all required machinery, equipments, piling rigs, casing pipes,cutting tools, cleaning bucket, materials, personnels, extra concrete above cut off level etc. at site and demobilisation on completion. No separate claims will be entertained due to variation in quantity of piles. b) The piles shall be measured from the cut off level to the approved strata. The rate shall include cost for additional concrete (if any) towards bulb formation,wastage while concreting etc. c) The rate shall include cost of socketing in hard rock as shown in structural drawing. 'h) The quoted rates shall include cost towards breaking of pile heads etc.

Extra over for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) confirming to IS:4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional RCC / PCC items supplied by approved RMC Plant for all type of structural elements/ RCC elements including transporting, pumping etc. complete as per instruction of the Engineer in charge. 'Note: The contractor shall obtain prior approval for RMC manufacturer from Engineer in Charge.
Providing , centering ,shuttering Form work using PVC film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels. 'Note : 1) Steel staging will have to be used for all structural /RCC works at all levels / heights. '2) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chiselling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar at no extra payment. '3) The Design of Formwork shall be submitted for approval before commencement of work. '4) All tie rod holes, irregularities are to be made good with Water repellent chemical at Contractors own cost.
For Substructure
Providing patented cement based water proffing treatment from outside to basement, lift pits, trenches and other underground structures during construction, consisting of a water proof layer over cement concrete 1:3:6 bedding finished with Rough Shahbad stone/kotah stone of minimum 20 mm thick, well pointed in the joints with cement and approved make water proffing compound as per manufacturers specification and continuing the treatment after completion of floor slab & side walls on the outerface of walls upto 300 mm above the adjacent ground level complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The total treatment of waterproofing treatment shall be around 75 mm for floors and 35 to 40 mm thick for walls. (Item includes testing of structures for water tightness) 'From 0.00 to 6.0 m depth using river sand. 'Notes: '1. The cost of 1:3:6 is not included in this item and is to be catered for separately. 2. A working space of about 600 mm shall have to be provided in the excavtion separately for the treatment of exterior faces of walls. 3. The water proofing treatment is to be Guaranteed for borne dry condition for a period of 10 years. 4. The measurement for payment shall be as per actual area covered by the treatment.
Providing and placing in position suitable PVC water stopper 230 mm wide and 8 mm thick confirming to IS:12200 for construction / expansion joint between two RCC member and fixed to reinforcement with binding wire before pouring concrete etc complete as per specification.
Providing TMT Bar FOR REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules,cutting, bending, transporting, fixing, tieing in position with 1.6 mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire all labour charges, cost of cover blocks in specified grade of concrete etc. complete including cost of binding wire as per specifications and drawings. Steel Supplied by the Contractor shall confirm to Fe 500D grade conforming to IS – 1786 (Latest edition) and BARC specification. 'Steel supplied by the contractor. 'Note: '1) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also testing third party from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. '2) Binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. '3) Cover blocks shall be of same grade of concrete.
Using TMT bars of specified grades of all sizes for all structures other than Piles. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor shall confirm to IS – 1786 (Latest edition)
Supplying and providing Structural Steel work at all levels in Rolled Sections like Rail, angles, channels, beams, MS Plain/ square/Circular rods, flats, beam in monorails, girders, tubular sections, pipe sections, built-up sections, trusses, ladders, platforms, handrails, sag nods, gratings, plates of built up sections, gates, lifting hooks of pre cast blocks, etc., including supplying, cutting, bending to the required shape & curvature as specified in drawing, fabricating, erecting as required, welding and fixing in position to correct lines and levels using teakwood gutties including , Dye Penetration test ,painting with a primary coat of approved ZINC CHROMATE Primer & two coats of SYNTHETIC ENAMEL PAINT in approved make & shade for steel surfaces, cost of scaffolding etc. complete as per drawing, specifications and as directed by the Project Engineer.
Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections using materials confirming to IS:2062 Notes : '(1) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts, anchor bolts shall not be measured for payment, but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rate. ADOR, ESAB, Indian Oxygen and D&H SECHERON or equivalent make shall be used. '(4) Edges of plates shall be grinded to uniform smooth finish. Providing and applying / injecting general purpose, high flow, Class A, non-shrink grout having high flowability through voids, bottom of base plate, tie rod hole and/or gap of min. 10 mm up to 100 mm, by mixing potable water, in a controlled manner by forced-action mixer, in the range of min. 2.9kg to max. 4.1kg per 20 kg bag of grout depending on the required consistency including cost of materials, labour, equipment, tools & tackles and consumables etc. all as per manufacturer's specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Technical parameters: (i) Compressive strength (as per AS 1478.2) in the range of min. 60 MPa to 75 MPa at 28 days depending upon consistency of the grout mix. (ii) Felxural strength (as per AS 1012.11) min. 13 MPa at 28 days, (iii) Indirect tensile strength (as per AS 1012.10) min. 6 MPa at 28 days, (iv) setting time (as per AS 1012.18) - Initial Setting Time min. 5.5 hours and Final Setting Time max. 7.5 hours (v) Flow characteristics (as per AS 1478.2): 400-600mm (Flow Trough) and 25-30 seconds(Flow cone). Rate will be inclusive of mixing, pouring, curing as per manufacture's specification, including scaffolding, complete all as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : Tentative / suggested make for guidance of bidder(s) : Conbextra GP2 Grout of M/s FOSROC or approved equivalent make.
