osing the defective /corroded reinforcement of the concrete , Removal of the defective concrete across the bar should be atleast 2mm beyond the defective bar so that the reinforcing bar can be cleaned with emery ribbon , wire brush etc. after cleaning the bar wash the bar with clean water and collect all the spalled / fallen concrete.
