ANNUAL OPERATION AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND WATER SUPPLY

Operation and routine maintenance of Sewage treatment Plant (STP) at Heavy Water Board Facilities Talcher, Colony permises, including the following major activities: i) Cleaning of inlet chamber & screen chamber, grit removal from grit chamber, equalisation tank, pre - aeration tank & aeration tank, UASBR, clarifier, chlorine contact tank, intermediate sump, PSF, ACF, sludge sump & sludge drying beds etc. as and when required.ii) Online clorination to treated water by adding suitable dosage of chlorine to have a residual concentration of 0.2 mg/l. iii) Operation of equipments as and when required, their routine check up and control of flows,levels etc.iv) Regular cleaning of filters of air blowers.v) Removal of dry cake from sludge drying beds once in every quarter.vi) Routine maintenance of running equipments like oiling, greasing, gland tightening, etc and Repair of all electrical / mechanical equipments installed in STP, maintaining of necessary spares etc. as and when required.vii) Regular water sampling and maintaning of effluent parameters of discharging sewage water (as prescribed by OSPCB) will be the responsibility of the contractor.viii) All tools, tackles, materials, Equipments, machinery, required for operation and routine maintenance of the STP unit at HWP Talcher Colony is to be provided by the Contractor.Housekeeping of opreational area, approaches to units, souroundings of units, control room should be maintained by the contrator as directed by the Engineer in charge.Maintaining log sheet & log records round the clock shift.Consumble items like chlorine, bleaching powder, compressor oils, gear lubricating oils, coupling, grease, bearings, gaskets, washers, gland packings, HDPE pipe / fittings and HDPE welding, blower & compressor belts, suction pipes, foot valves, additional pumping arrangement during rainy season etc. should be the scope of contractor and to be carried out as & when required during the contract period. failing which penality will be imposed on the contractor as per market rate.

Operation and maintenance service of water supply system in HWBF talcher housing colony for at least 16 hours per day comprising of two times pumping including coordination with MCL for smooth water intake, pump house operations and water supply to various loops, checking of proper filling of individual overhead tanks, running maintenance of pump house & water supply system (plumbing system like replacement of gaskets, nut bolts, liquids for DG set and battery, repair/maintenance of sluice valves including reairs of spindles, checknuts ,washers,repairs joints etc.), logging of water intake and pump house data,Maintaining log sheet & log records( record keeping) etc. all complete and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

Cleaning and desilting of Equalization Tank , thorough brushing of side walls and floor of tank using 10 kg bleaching powder, flushing out the tank with fresh water, disposing of silt to a lead of 100 mtrs. including taking all safety measures during work etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer. (One time in Six months).
