Repairing of existing damaged bituminous roads at HEF

Amount

Surface excavation n.exc 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out soft/loose soil

Rough excavation n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in hard / dence soil.

M & L for 150 mm thick soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stone, interstices filled surface, formed rolled & consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller including watering

M & L for moorum /red bajari on pavement filling in floors or paving, laid in layers not exc. 15 cm thk spreading, leveling and rolling with 8 to 12 tonne power roller including watering

Removing excavated material exc. 250 and n exc. 500m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point.

Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms & finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and Applying paving bitumen evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 sq metre

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) and making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings). depth of potholes exc 30 mm

M & L for Premix bituminous, macadam with 4% paving bitumens of binder content of total weight of mix laid by mechnical paver, rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 tonne power to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness more than 75mm)

M & L for 10cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 1 (90 to 40mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required

M & L for Surface dressing by spraying evenly paving bitumen at 20 kg per 10 sq metres, blinding with 12.5mm stone chippings @ 0.14cum per 10 sqm and rolling to required gradient and camber

M & L for Bituminous premix asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 6% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber & gradient complete

M & L for marking 2.5mm thick centre line, stop line, dashes, arrows, etc n. exc. 10 cm wide on road, pavement, etc with hot Thermo Plastic road Marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per instruction complete.
