SPECIAL REPAIRS TO BUILDING NOS P-39, P-40 AND P-41 OF SCIENTISTS HOSTEL AT NSTL UNDER AGE I RND NSTL VISAKHAPATNAM

Cutting / chipping the spalling concrete surfaces of columns, beams, slabs, cantilevers etc., and trimming, cleaning the surface to receive guniting / plastering complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying epoxy treatment for bonding new & old concrete surfaces prior to guniting applying NITO BOND AR chemical (FOSROC chemical ) or equivalent in STP, Sika complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Providing pressure guniting averaging 40 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 for columns/ fins including providing double scaffolding as required and removal of the same on completion of the work complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Providing pressure guniting averaging 30 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 for beams including providing double scaffolding as required and removal of the same on completion of the work complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing pressure guniting averaging 20 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 for soffits of slab, complete all as specified and directed including providing double scaffolding as required and removal of the same on completion of the work complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rendering 5 mm thick on fair faces of concrete surfaces in ceilings in cement mortar 1:3 and finished fair and even without using extra cement including taking down old plaster complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparation of new plastered surfaces of ceiling and applying three coats of white wash complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparation of old plastered or unplastered surfaces of ceiling including cornices, pillasters by brooming down with steel wire brushing scrapping down smoke dust, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and removing oily and greasy spots etc and applying one coat of white wash, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Water proofing treatment for terrace as following: (a) Remove the existing Tile and Weathering Course upto the mother slab cleaning the surface areas thoroughly so that free of all contaminants like dirt and laitance & to remove all the loose materials by various mechanical means. Removal of all surface imperfections, protrusions, loose concrete & filling of cracks using ShaliCrete Polymer Modified Mortar or equivalent in Sika, FOSROC in the ratio ShaliCrete : Cement : Sand (1 : 2 : 5 ). (b) Providing and making vata at the junction of the walls and the slabs using PMC mortar in the ratio of ShaliCrete : Cement :Sand (1:2:5) using ShaliSBR Latex as the bond coat or equivalent in Sika, FOSROC. (c) Correct all construction joints by grouting with ShaliGrout IP at 1 mapart and opening of joints in “V” cut groove and fill with PMC mortar, using ShaliSBR Latex as the bond coat or equivalent in Sika, FOSROC.

(d) Supply and application of ShaliUrethane LHM single component, PU water proofing coating having 700% elongation with the help of brush or rollers by thoroughly mixing with a power mixer @ 1.2 to1.4 Kg / m² in two coats sandwiched with GF mesh / Geotextile Fabric including surface preparation. Broad casting of 100 mesh sieved sand to be done on the top coat to facilitate adhesion ofnext layer. The elastomeric membrane having these properties:Tensile Strength, 28 days, MPa (ASTM D-412): 2; Adhesion toConcrete, MPa (ASTM D-4541): 2.5; Crack Bridging Ability @ 9°C,mm (ASTM C-836): Upto 1.5. (e) Top Screed modified with Integral Waterproofing Chemical:Placing a seperation layer of 120 GSM geotextile fabric over thewaterproofing membrane and carrying out sloping screed on topof it over the with cement modified @ 0.4% with ShaliPlast LW+for waterproofing, or equivalent in Sika, FOSROC.
