Excavation in soil in hilly area by mechnical means in all heights and depths, in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1. Minimum quantity of useful material such as stones, shingles, aggregates and slates etc. i.e 137.12 cubic metre, shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly, otherwise recovery @ Rs. 300/- per cubic metre shall be effected from the bills of the contractor. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom, backfilling the excavation earth to the extent required and utilising the remaining earth locally for road work. including carriage of materials in all leads and lift as per directions of The Engineer -in Charge complete.
Providing and laying mechanically mixed and vibrated cement concrete M-15 containing minimum contents of cement of 5.50 bags per cubic meter in all height and depth as per drawing and technical specification in foundation of retaining walls complete as per MoRTH specification No. .1500, 1700 and 2100 including carriage of all materials with in all leads and lifts with all mode of transportation and equipment and cost of formwork required to complete the work to the satisfaction of the Engineer in Charge.
Providing and laying 100 mm dia meter (100 mm) PVC pipe in weep holes in R/wall in requisite slope for drainage as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charges including carriage of material in all leads and lifts with mechanical means.
